There is something about this version that sounds more cleaner and not so produced that I really like... reminds me of AM radio in the '70's... great times..
To think it doesn't seem that long ago I was a little kid living in Sarasota, FL, and would listen to this while a huge green lizard would sit on my mom's clock radio. Guess he liked it too.
...or has it been that long ago...? God I feel old! Where did all the really good music go? Have we as a society become so out of touch with things that we no longer appreciate or know how to make good music anymore?
Bob Welch's very first take of the same song when he was still in Fleetwood Mac in 1972 (which was recorded five years before this one being in his first solo album) sounds just as beautiful, though more raw-sounding and acoustic-driven. the original can be heard in Fleetwood Mac's 'Bare Trees' album. =)
