  • i don't see why this game was never released in the US the other to og games were released here

  • it gets better if the game the is an english translation on it T_T

  • I thought Axel hated Lamia........

  • @TheBerginton PS2 OG2 Axel was toned down compared to the GBA version. Didn't hate her nearly as much.

  • im sure i read that right but uh axel said W07 right? wow lol he knows aschen then?

  • @SaitoIkari Axel said W17 which is Lamia's code name while part of Shadow MIrror.

  • @bitrel07 i swear i saw him mention W07 in there.

  • @SaitoIkari Well let's not get argumentitive over something that's not worth yelling over. All I'm saying is that Axel said W17 which is Lamia's coded name while part of Shadow Mirror. If you can't believe me, then look closely at what he says after he mentions DUST TO DUST. Does Axel mention W07 or W17? Either way Axel would take out Lamia even if she had over half her health. CODE: KIRIN!!!

  • @bitrel07 i know i know lol its just i saw w07 and was wondering if anyone else saw it ._. thats all really.

  • @SaitoIkari It's ok, Japanese is slightly harder to read. To bad they didn't add Woden's Thrudgelmir back into this game's storyline for Sanger, as Thrudgelmir was Sanger's original and first Mech he ever piloted.

  • @bitrel07 yeah but i wish they brought this and the previous one over here to NA i mean theres no series licenses involved in those 2 but then i suppose its all about the sales figures or w/e :/

  • @SaitoIkari True but then, no...you can buy them here in NA but they'll be in Japanese language. Are you saying that you want it to come to NA in American language instead?

  • @bitrel07 yeah even if it doesnt have english voice overs they can just give us english text so we can play it.

  • @SaitoIkari That would be nice if they could do that for us.

  • @bitrel07 i know huh, then we could get the new one for ps3 lol

  • @SaitoIkari Couldn't agree more with you pal:) Chat on my account some time, we talked a little to much on this vid already unless you want us to do so on your account.

  • @bitrel07 lol or via message XD

  • @SaitoIkari ...

  • @SaitoIkari Ran across this comment so I felt I should add that one of the American companies that governs video games doesn't allow for japanese games to be released without an accompanying set of tracks in english (Regardless of whether it's used or not, see Disgaia games with it's dual voiceover features)

So whilst they can translate the text(and I sorely wish they would, my japanese listening skills are subpar and reading is practically non existant), they can't release it.

  • @DarkestKNIGHTCJH thats true but i mean, the only japanese song is the title screen one,lol i guess japan's greedy like that though .

  • @SaitoIkari Uh... All the Japanese voiceovers(I.e Battle scenarios and/or storyline related speeches) need to be redubbed too. Considering the amount of them... That would take a lot of time/money methinks.

  • I can read Japanese quite well (I HAD to, my wife's full-blood Nippon-jin). I've been following this game series ever since it started (darn that SRW2 in NES... Shu you freakin' sadist!).

I liked how they characterized Axel, and then Alfimi (some fans used Alchimie as her name translated, after her theme song most prolly). LOLz... at least Axel owned Beowulf in the end (SRW OG: The Inspector). And managed to get a girl (finally... even if she's somewhat... young?).

  • Hmn. How ironic. Axel and Alfimi's relationship kinda reflects Kyosuke and Excellen. Unfortunately for Axel... with the bond and all, he's kinda married intimately with Alfimi. Well, at least he beat Kyosuke in life. LOL.

Axel actually became a some sort of neutral chaotic anti-hero in OGG, which really suits his personality.

I dunno why lots of people think Kyosuke's pretty badass in his Alteisen. i believe that Axel's role in piloting Soul Gain is much harder because it drains his life force.

  • @darkrance where do you get all this input?

i figured everything out STEP by FUCKING STEP , i know what wich skill can ,and what they cant.

but i dont know any names of any mechs, neither 99% of the character names etc.

would be awesome to know how i can "learn" so much from it too

  • @GoodOldN1ghty Well a good step for learning most of the names would be to play the GBA versions of the first two games, considering they had an official English release. That won't cover changes in the PS2 version of those, or new things in this game, but it still helps. As for plot details of this game, either he knows Japanese or he found a plot summary.

  • @GoodOldN1ghty They have the OGs for GBA in english, but that's really it. That's the only way I really know the names of the mechs and characters is because of the GBA versions. Resepectively, Super Robot Taisen Original Generation 1 and 2. After that the rest are purely Japanese I believe. Would like to learn how to read Kanji.

  • Man they really gotta port this game to the PSP so we actually have a chance at a legit copy state side.

  • Proof that a well-placed Code: Kirin can solve anything.

  • ...Fiona is alive?

  • What i want to know is why is Axel in your team? And Amfili wasn't she suppose to be dead ofter OG2?

  • @fireem Axel and alfimi never died in og2. Alfimi saved axel 's life so the 2 became bonded. And yes you get axel and alfimi on your team in this game.

  • What just happened??

  • おねだりウルフなさけねぇwww

  • Wow, Excellen doing that dblimage thing while using her rifle with energy attacks, in real life, this would've killed all the grunts and saved time.

  • Wait so are the Nacht and Abend basically the clones of these two gundams?

  • @misterizman it's actually called real robots not gundam.

  • Am I the only one to found it funny that the only way Axel can save Lamia was to beat the living daylights out of her?

  • @MajinFefnir13 isnt that how we always save our allies in these games though?

  • アクセル惚れる

  • What is Gaiden? Is it before SRW 1?

  • @darkof No its the sequel to the Original Generations that were released on gameboy (as two separate games) and ps2 (as one game). This game picks up after a supposed cliffhanger ending with lamia in trouble. Note in the video there's many faces you probably won't recognize, but apparently they brought them in from earlier games. Hope it cleared that up for you! Feel free to ask more!

  • @mingzl81065 Wow - Why so hostile over a video...? It's just a video of a video game - Yikes man - Seriously... I almost feel like your going to slit everyone's throats.

  • @ExelicaTriggerheart I agree, to me it sounds like someone has serious jealousy in them. I guess nobody told him that aggression doesn't always equal respect(especially on youtube).

I don't exactly see what the big deal is either. ooooh you know the crazy japanese secret of srw! That's nice, but i think that there are better things in life than figuring out the plot to an obscure video game series. Try getting a life for a change.

Btw, nice video Dragonfury appreciate it!

  • I knew Axel had a soft spot somewhere in him. Silly Axel =D

  • @mingzl81065 I can't believe you don't know what's going on. You like SRW and you don't use your intuition? Or you haven't played any of SRW games from the PS2 because it is only for Jap version. Poor you..

  • @Dragonfury23

Unfortunately my Japenese is better than my English. I am a noob english speaker and I won't bother going through the dictionary for the definition of "intuition". But I ALWAYS read through what they're saying in order to get what EXACTLY the fuck is going on, unlike "someone" who just always guess.

For example, do you know what exactly Alfimi said to Axel before he went off slashing the Valsione in half? I do. Do you know what is all with the code ATA and DTD? I do.

  • @mingzl81065

Well wherever it might be, it's not from your fail video where i learned those from.

  • @mingzl81065 Wow. Just make your own video, man. If you can. Just go watch some SRW videos then favorite them. I feel you man. Can't play Jap PS2 games. poor srw fan.

  • @mingzl81065 Stop bashing Dragonfury you freaking n00b go play the game or look it up on the internet. He spends a lot of time recording these so we without Japanese PS2s can see SRW. If you're gonna go trolling around like a lil whore do it somewhere else and have AN ACTUALL REASON to piss everyone off.

  • @mingzl81065 lol. I know what's going on in that video. that's just fine with me. At least i played OGS anf OG Gaiden not like you who just watch it lol. And i don't wanna waste a 10 min limit video from youtube thats why its fast. Yeah you can read Japanese, Play the game dude, not just watch it lol.

  • @mingzl81065 ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!NOOB ENGLISH SPEAKER!!! :D but when i read your comment, thats goooood english to me :D

  • For all that, you get Vysaga. I'd say that's a good prize, lol.

This definitely occurred before Axel and Alfimi appear in Endless Frontier Exceed because Axel also invokes Code DTD in Aschen to save her activating Code ATA.

  • whats the song playing at the title screen called?

  • @mmzx1 Rocks By Jam Project

  • @Dragonfury23 I have a dilemma. I got this very game, hoping I would get to play it on my PS3 (I have no idea why I didn't check online to see that it wouldn't work, it coulda saved me a lotta money, lol), but it didn't, so it's been sitting up on top of my TV cupboard. Do you have a solution? It'd be a great if you could help me. Thanks!

  • @ThePistlwhipr buy a japanese ps2 lol

  • @Zetagreen19 Sorry for not clarifying, but WITHOUT having to buy a Japanese PS2. Thanks!

  • @ThePistlwhipr then mod an american one to play japanese games lol

  • @Zetagreen19 Easier said than done, I hope you do know. Care to elaborate?

  • @ThePistlwhipr nope. i played all of this stuff on a ps2 emulator lol.

  • @ThePistlwhipr I'm sorry i don't know any other way. The best way is to play it with PS2 jap version.

  • @Dragonfury23 Damn... I'm not sure I wanna shell out $150 just to play one game... I'll search for another way. Thanks, Dragon!

  • So that means Mugen Frontier Exceed's events are happen before OG Gaiden (from Axel's dialog).

  • @BrotherMicheal how did you figure that out? Exceed is AFTER Gaiden in timeline. He even mentions in Exceed he has deja vu before he does THAT event.

  • hell yeah Heat horn WITH a claymore shower

  • Hmmm... Lamia's Code ATA means Ash To Ash. Lamia was supposed to go suicide on them with Kyosuke trying to stop her (since he promised he'd take care of it). Axel intervenes, and explains to Lamia that she was Lemon's greatest creation, and that it would be kinda sad to just let Lamia die out like that. Kinda an insult to Lemon's greatness. So, Axel activates Code DTD, or Dust To Dust, an override code for the W numbers' Code ATA. And kicked Lamia's butt to save her. Meh.

  • Does anyone know what they're saying?

All I really want to know is what Axel says to her.

  • hey if any body have a complete save of all the mechs on srw og gaiden hit me up i need a copy of it

  • It's still a strange experience to see Axel NOT being a complete asshole. This is a pretty redeeming moment, though.

  • Axel does what Lamia couldn't do in A and OG, redeem one another

  • @Darkforce222 They toned down his assholery from OG2 to OGS, so it's nowhere near as impressive.

  • CODE KIRIN! ... the pain T_T

the theme after the map sounds very nice O-o .. if i want to .. i would that in the gba version playthough since there aren't alot of sound effects

  • W00t! AXEL
