According to the canon story, Chris, Jill, Barry, and Rebecca ALL survived the mansion incident. In the N64 version of RE2, you find Rebecca's report, a report she obviously published AFTER the events of RE1. In RE5's manual on the page listing events of the RE series, it tells how Jill and Carlos escaped Raccoon City's destruction WITH THE HELP OF BARRY piloting the helicopter.

Ok I'm confused, just played first playthrough as Chris on easy.

Lots of stuff didn't happen.

1. there was never a countdown on the timer to explosion

2. tyrant never came on roof

3. Barry fucked off somewhere in the mansion, don't remember ever seeing him

5. same with rebecca, I was with her for awhile, she went to the lab area. I never got to kill the plant 42 because I couldnt use the bottles

Anyone know why this stuff doesnt happen, and why i never got to kill the plant?

@Jordo54321 Chris is the hard version, Jill is the easy version. With Jill you get help from Barry (he gives you free shit like ammo and saves you from places like the place where you get the shotgun). Chris has less inventory spaces, gets less items throughout the game, gets hardly any help.

About the Tyrant on the roof: after you beat the Tyrant in the lab, go rescue the survivors along the way to the roof. I THINK that's what triggers the fight on the roof.

Rebeca gets killed, so does Barry. There's a theory going around that Rebeca could be alive and she escaped the mansion. Barry turned into a zombie and I think showed up in another game. Sucks that best ending never happens.

I see some people want to know Rebecca's fate. Capcom has confirmed that she is alive and as a matter a fact, they are planning to do another CGI Resident Evil movie focusing on Rebecca's current adventures. Who knows, maybe it'll include a much wanted reunion with Billy Coen or Barry

same. If i didnt give barry his gun i knew he would die. and i didnt know what the mo disks were at first but then found out. in order to get this one to you have to keep barry alive at the end to. it take 4-6 spikes from the tyrant to kill barry at the end.

i forgot to grab the magnum. couldnt find out where it was til i was near the end and found the ammo but no magnum. i was thinking it was for barrys gun til my second play through. i saved up 46 handgun bullets with about 9 already loaded in the gun, 2 shotgun shells, 5 incendiary rounds and 11 grenade rounds
