WOW, this commerical brings back memories. I remember it like yesterday.

I was 15 in 85 and this was the great Mets - Cardinals penant race that year.

85 also had the Yankees - BlueJays penant race that was great.

Actually, this station's call sign was WOR-TV in 1985. In 1987, an extra W was added to the station's call sign. Mets Games were brodcast on WWOR until 1998 when they switched to WPIX-TV. It's a coincidence because the Yankees used to be broadcasted on WPIX, which some of the Mets games are brodcasted on now. And now, some of the Yankees games are now broadcated on WWOR, the Mets former station.
