don't think so mate - unless he starts taking a strop about not playing regularly, I think Anderson will become a very important player at Utd. He's still a bit raw and lacks a bit of tactical awareness, but I think he has the attributes to be a top player - the fans already love his all-action style - a more skilful Roy Keane in the making? He's becoming a big favourite of mine already.

i agree with this. he's not your typical brazillian footballer and can cope with the pace of the premiership. i expect him to grow in that midfield and can see him being an integral part of man utd in the future. i think veron's problem was that he was far too lazy and expected too much time on the ball, that and competing with scholes in midfield.

hey Berbatov is not a shit player lol he scored over 25 goals for Tottenham two years in a row and when he got to United he was suddenly not the man anymore there was a little player by the name of Ronaldo, how about Tevez, and Rooney lol and he still scored what 13 goals with us not appearing as much as he would have liked,i say now with Ronaldo and Tevez gone he becomes more of an impact player atleast 15-20 goals this year and Macheda will own up the reserves and play well with the first team

I enjoyed watching Veron but there were times when he didn't contribute as much as he could have. Still, for me, he was definitely a Man Utd player, unlike Djemba Djemba, Bellion and Klebberson, who just couldn't cut it for me. Another player we never saw the best of, was Diego Forlan, but we knew he had real talent. A top scorer for Uruguay and, later, in the Spanish league, it was just a shame he never really hit form with Man Utd.

@Mr6292 bellion was actualy a good player but fergie didnt see it in him, he is playing really well now. agree we never saw the best of deigo or veron. think fergie should get rid of carrick, gibson, oshea, evans and rio in the summer. dont get me wrong rio has done well but he's out for way to much each season for the past 3 years.

@pakmanmanc Yes, I get your point about Bellion, but I just meant he, and some other players, couldn't adapt to the game in the way Ferguson wanted. As individuals in other teams, they may well have found their feet and played well, but I guess that is where the skill lies in management. It's knowing, even if a player is good, he just may not fit in with your plans. Glad to hear Bellion is doing well though and thanks for the update.

Bearing in mind how many great players Barcelona have, he is in no way overshadowed. I critisised Veron when he was playing for us because he was built up to be such a good player... in the end wasn't have as good as the build up suggested therefore was a big letdown for me.. i think other united fans fell the same that is why.

I felt signing him was pointless at the time because his main strengths were Set peices. i think he even scored a goal from a corner kick at Lazio (not certain though) but with Beckham in the team he was less of a threat. He was there for the 4-5-1 formation in Europe and he was quite good there but we still weren't successful. it was a gamble that didn't pay off.
