When Suzaku gave Lelouche to Charles like that, he became my least favorite character. He sold his best friend. Poor Lelouche!!!

i know, i don't approve of what suzaku did to lelouch since i like their friendship a lot, but i understand it just like i don't always approve of some of the things lelouch did, though it was necessary for his plan.

well...some speculation is that he got his father's code, I mean, his father did die, and the only way to kill a person with code is to take their code...

however, one loophole to this is that Lelouch ordered the collective unconcious to cancel ragnarok, and it absorbed him...which means he didn't die, and if he did, it was not by Lelouch's hand...buuuuuut, Lelouch DID give the order, so who knows...perhaps Lelouch took his code when he had Lelouch by the neck......so idk...

i don't think he got the code from his father because he gained another geass in his other eye, i think by geassing the ragnarok, his geass became stronger and his father and mother was absorbed by the ragnarok or whatever it's called...and i haven't seen anyone with the code and also can use geass.

I'm not saying one way or the other, but Lelouch didn't use his Geass after Charles died for one thing...and for Code to take effect, the Geass user has to die first, but until they do, they still have Geass, remember back to that scene where Lelouch was in the Sword of Akasha...he had his Shinkirou...he couldn't face Charles because he could wipe his memory? Charles already had Code, but he hadn't died yet, so he could still use Geass, and only after he shot himself, his Code was activated...

lol he did use geass after charles died, he geass everyone in the throne room and they called him "your majesty" remember? and he also geass the brittanian soldiers as well...what we don't know and lelouch don't know is charles got the code right? lelouch assumed his father still has geass that's why he didn't want to get to close to his father in case he usedd his geass on him...and the only way to know if a person has a code is if they were killed but didn't die so that doesn't prove anything.

...and I'd like to point out that Charles shot himself in the heart...yet died instantly...so both Lelouch and Charles died from heart issues immediately, and we know for a fact that Charles did die at that moment because, yet again, you have to die for the Code to activate, and the Geass symbol appeared on Charles' hand AFTER he shot himself...and I reviewed the show where Lelouch got stabbed, and they never show his palm...so we can't determine the outcome from that...

true, we don't know whether he got the code later on from cc but i'm pretty sure he didn't get it from charles...also there was a scene where his remain was absorb into the ragnarok, so who know.

How d'you know Charles didn't have the mark on his hand before he died? If I remember right he was alive for more then an average human lifetime already but I'm not 100% sure on that I remember hearing something about it in the show, I could be wrong. I knew Charles didn't die, he didn't follow Lelouch's command like most everyone else did he didn't even seem to be effected by it to me. Lelouch could be dead, or alive however you want to see it That's why it ended the way it did.

so basically, Lelouch achieved "Code Geass" by having both at once, because Charles didn't have the chance to kill Lelouch...because he was absorbed................

Whether he got the code from his father or not, I'm not sure, but I believe the rule of gaining the code is the geass-wielder has to have geass in both eyes while retaining (most of) his/her sanity before being able to get the code.

i don't think a person has to be sane or has geass in both eyes to obtain the code, the code has to be given by its owner willingly i think; charles was given the code by v.v, i don't think he took it, and when a person loss their code they loss their immortality.

I'm not sure about the person sanity but he had to have geass in both eyes, that's why the nun that given C.C her geass couldn't do it before she obtained it on the highest level.

i'm suprise that you think that way, suzaku is such a nice guy, i suppose it's true and nice guy finish last but not in my book...lelouch is the one i have trouble accepting because of how easy he killed, and how he used euphie...in the end i like them both, but i still have a soft spot for suzaku because of how much he suffered.

Well, Lelouch suffered just as much as Suzaku and maybe even more. He didn't use Euphie on purpose, using Geass on her was an accident right? He just plays his cards for the sake of Epuhemia I think ^^ And Suzaku knew in the end of the first series that Lulu don't have anyone but him and still values him as a friend even if he's his enemy too. And he still sold him. That's why I really loathed him for the first half of the second season. Then he managed to buy some affection from me :)

well in my opinion, suzaku suffered more...everytime something major happened, it changed him...euphie death affected him as well since she's an innocent, he was suppose to be her knight but he couldn't protect her...lelouch used geass on euphie, euphie killed lots of japanese, zero killed her and gain lots of support from the japanese, suzaku always against zero because he didn't agree with zero method, so it's understandable he would feel betrayed by lelouch.

Well it IS understanable but I think he just make his life harder by selling Lulu to the emperor.Maybe he felt betrayed and all but he should notice how Lelouch always treated him with knowledge that he was his enemy.I think I just simply wish that he'd think of better method of revenge for both of them.That was lots of things that hapenned and changed him but he just SHOULD notice that Lulu beside being Zero, his main enemy, always was for him as a FRIEND and maybe he could considerate that too

you might be right, but lelouch betraying suzaku, and euphie dead made him lose more of his innocent/naivete and became more jaded (ex: his eyes became dead)...also i don't blame him for using lelouch because it's a smart move being a knight of the round gave him power over others, instead of having to follow orders others gave him, now he only has to follow the king order; his past self would've never go that route, and i think part of it was to make lelouch see what it's like to be used.

That was a good idea to gain more power by selling Lelouch but I still think that he shouldn't do it. That's one of the things that you just don't do to friends even if they are selfish and egocentric bastards like Lelouch. And I think you're right about him wanting Lulu to discover how painfull it is to being used by someone that you trusted. And I rewatched recently S2 and I have to tell that I started to really pity Suzaku. He couldn't trust anyone anymore because he was afraid of betraying.

But I don't really understand why he was so mad at Lulu because of the order "Live!" back in the S1. It was posiblly the one thing that made him live through all that murderers that wanted to kill him for being the Knight of the Round.

well suzaku is suicidal (mostly due to his guilt about killing his father), and he even said to lelouch at one time that giving him the live on geass bend his principal, etc...

i think his action was in the moment, he wasn't thinking straight at the time because of how angry he was...and knowing that lelouch used geass on euphie and order her to kill against her will also gave him the incentive (remember he didn't realize it was unintentional on lelouch part).

somehow i just feel bad that suzaku had to choose that course of action because the other option is to kill lelouch...i can't be angry at him when i know lelouch also at fault for a slip of the tongue a lot of people died...in any case being a knight of the round brought him closer to his plan, and later help lelouch so i think it's all work out =P

I think I'll throw in my two cents.

Lelouch accidentally used Euphy to kill many innocent people, because his power was out of his control. But what wasn't an accident, was the fact that after she died, he used the chess piece that she left to gain the Japanese people.

Suzaku fought, and fought for his own goals, and Lulu's Geass helped him stay alive to do that. But he lost Euphy, and after that, Euphy was made out to look

Like the evil one. Suzaku knew how kind she was, he loved her, and stood by her until the very end.

Lelouch played the move he was dealt, that's all he could do at that point.

And so did Suzaku, he met Zero with every intention of Killing him for what he did, but once he realized it was Lelouch he brought him back to the king. He was only playing the move he had before him, he -needed- power to accomplish his goals, which in the end were the same as Lulu's just a different way of>

going about it. I didn't like that he did it, but that was something that had to happen to make their relationship in the end, what it was. In the end, after the betrayal on both sides, they came back to one another, with the same love of friendship, and determination as when the series started. Everything that happened in between was just a show of how truly strong their friendship was, making the result of the end all the heavier. ^_^ That's just my opinion though.
