Thank you Neil !! This helped a great deal, as I always stand like this BUT a bloke down at the local club (one who is definitely among the top players in that club) mentioned that there is a problem in my stance as my right foot (I'm right handed) was on the line of the shot but wasn't IN line with it, that is my toes were facing outwards (just like you said you stand), and I changed it believing him and been playing really crap since then, but I'll go back now. :) Thanks again.
Great explanation Neil, but I have only one question... there is a problem if I put my left leg more forward then you? Which is the acceptable distance??? I notice that your feet is almost the same distance when looking to the belt. Your left leg is only about half distance from the right straigh leg. There is a problem with my stance? Thanks man, your lessons are great. Regards from Brazil
should your foot and middle of head be in line? as i address the shot i stand behind it, make sure im standing on the line but then as i get down for the shot, i notice that my head has to move slightly to the right in order to be on top of the cue and in line with my foot, what would you recommend to fix this? thanks in advance, james
I'm ambidextrous, and play a great deal of shots left handed. I'm having trouble adjusting my stance.
I noticed that right handed players have their right leg perfectly straight, perpendicular to the floor, and left handed players have their left leg slightly bent backwards at the knee. (Ex: Judd Trump).
I tried mirroring the usual stance but it feels like my left leg is shorter, I can't get things right. If i keep my usual stance i hit my hip with the cue.
at what ball do i have to look if i'm going down on the shot
the white or objectball or both or non ?

excellent but im !!!
i googled alote how to stand
and i got most ideas that if you are right eyed so you have to stand squared and if you r left eyed you should stand as you mentioned in this clip
and they also showed how to check if you are right eyed or left
place a chalk on the table and look point at the chalk and close ur left eye if ur point moves so you are left eyed if not you are right
i used to stand like you r telling now but i changed
can u plz tell me if iits right or not?
thank u
