Wasn't the M-1 supposed to be a response to Porsche's 928, but the costs grew out of control, leading BMW to drastically reduce production numbers? Some old fella used to own one here in town around 20 years ago or so.

ich war 2001 das letzte mal auf einer klassik veranstaltung in hockenheim...da waren unverstaendlicher weise die raenge leider ebenso leer wie dieses jahr.

ist ja einerseits ganz schoen wenn man fotos und videos machen will...zeigt aber doch auch dass wenig oeffentliches interesse am historischen motorsport besteht...schade.
