  • Is this the same Pingry school that is also located in Vermont? I and my wife lived nearby in Chatham, NJ and now at 80 I am teaching my classes at UNC-Pembroke totally from my IPAD. It is streamed wireless to two large LCD TVs. I just wish that all of my students had this little, wonderful, gadget. This is the future of teaching along with a very good instructor. wmWendt

  • Great video! How are you managing all of these iPads? Are you using a cart for syncing and charging? In my experience Datamation Systems has made some great products (carts, cabinets, stand-alone sync and chargers) which have made the classroom management of iPads much easier. If you don't have such a product yet, I'd recommend checking them out...do a google search "Datamation Systems iPad."

  • interesting video and very informative

  • Hey wadda hell?

We are in 2012 People! Why not the HOLE GRADES have these iPads? i Mean, this is stupid. The kindergarten should NOT have those iPads. Let's note that they're fragile. okay?

And also, the book is the best for small kids. The school or even the highschools should have AT LEAST 5 CLASSROOMS WITH iPADS.

I am in 4th grade and we still learn on crappy books. Why should the little kids have this preveliege to have an iPad in their hands? THEY WILL NOT UNDERSTAND FROM THOSE APPS!

  • @ROBLOXMoony First of all, i'd like to applaud your spelling and grammar. You have very sophisticated writing for a fourth grader.

Even though I don't completely agree with technology like this in the classroom, I believe Ipads would be a lot more useful to lower grades. Mostly because they are easy to operate, but also because it is much better for motor skills than computers. It also makes the learning very fun.

  • @ROBLOXMoony I'm sure you and your fourth grade class have access to computers at school, which will benefit you much more. Typing on a keyboard is very important, and there is a very limited amount of apps for older grades on the App store. Be happy you're not in China, where their only learning resource is outdated books.

  • My high school is switching to iPads next year. I wasn't quite sure what to think at first, but now I am excited. It will most definitely be nice not to have to worry about lugging around books and organizing hundreds of papers anymore.

  • If you are concerned about the connection between microwave radiation and your child's health please check out my site at electrosmog21. See what levels of non ionizing radiation are being emitted from the various wireless devices, including iPads. View the favorited videos for a perspective on radiation issues from doctors and scientists. It's amazing how ignorant the educators are concerning the amount of radiation that these poor children are being exposed to. Parents, look into the issue

  • Middle schoolers should get an ipad 2 , its not right that kindergardeners get this expensive tablet than 7 graders or middle schoolers i wish my school would buy us that :(

  • This will not work for children age 12 and up-they will be distracted and play games

  • @sutol226

ps. 12 and up will not get distracted only some u never know if the kindergardeners will get distracted and play games on there during class!!!!!

  • Is this in England?

  • @figureskaternina Nooopppee

  • @figureskaternina no its in nj i go to pingry

  • My school was the first middle school in the USA to get iPad 2 and all of our apps are very educational

  • I really like how engaged the students are and how interactive it allows the students to be in the classroom, even in a primary classroom setting.

  • We are focused on collaboration and differentiated learning opportunities for our students. Our grade levels for iPads are K-3 and we are looking to expand to 4th grade. We use many different apps at each grade level with an eye on our goal of creating these opportunities for our children.

  • Which apps have you found to be most useful?

  • So wonderful to see iPads being used successfully in the classroom. The kids are adorable, and really appear to be engaged and learning. Kudos!

  • Great job, everyone! (Nice music, too!)
