brother Yusuf Estes is not an expert in Islamic Shariaa. He was a pastor who became Muslim. This does not make him a sheikh.

There is not a final opinion about music in Islam. Some very authentic scholars consider it halal, based on their knowledge. However, the majority of authentic scholars consider that the duff IS halal without doubt. Only those like the Wahhabi sect prohibit it.
