Get a B series trans or change the final drive in the H trans. Gearing is everything, and H trannies are notorious for being long geared and slow. I would also consider changing my rim/tire size. That car should be running 12s.

Yes i know who evans is. You cant compare every motor to other ones? Maybe he had a motor that someone ran the shit out of efore he got it? Who knows but i know many people that have k20 peakboosted and full- race turbos on stock motors running 400whp and have had them for years. It all depends on how you drive the turbo car too. If you drive it like its N/A of coarse it will blow faster...Also friends b16 has been turbo'd tuned at 10psi and is still holding for the past 1/1/2 years.

yeh 13.5 to 15.0 is a BIG deifference but ya kno wut....thats how it usually works at the track on street tires,,,one run a 13.5 and the next a slight misshift and a 14.0 you never kno it really depends on the driver

The reason why your "buddies" cars blew up is one, its probably an ebay kit, 2, its more then likely runnin more then 11 lbs of boost, 3, it wasnt tuned properly. With the correct kit and tune, a single or DOHC honda engine can be safely ran with low boost, with high boost ofcourse it will explode. One of my boys ran a D16y8 Turbo for 6 months at 9 lbs of boost before he actually took the kit off for his new setup.

im 100% confident that no one that has posted comments has any idea of what their talking about, im about to graduate from NTI in Mooresville NC, and i built a camperworld series cup car motor, Build #861 that turned 612hp on the engine dyno and 490 pound feet. which is now being bought by a race team, good advice take it or leave it.

what comp. ratio are you running, your motor sounded like it lost revs a little slow, i think you should focus on making it rev more freely, i.e. a lighter crank, you need to close your main journal oil clearances up a bit, mabe some clevite bearings with two ten thousandths reduction as well as your main rod bearings with the same clearance, get a set of pistons that have full floating pin bosses and run a quality synthetic oil (royal purple, ams oil, etc)make sure its thinner due to clearances
