  • THANK U

  • Funny, how Macs are supposed to be all user-friendly, yet people have to refer to how-to youtube videos to print in black and white. =P

  • thanksss :D

  • THANK YOU. Seriously, I was getting so frustrating (and spending a bunch on ink lol)

  • Very cool, thanks for the help. Also, how do you get that little pulsing circle thing around your mouse pointer when you click something? lol.

  • thank you so so much!!! i have been trying to figure this out for weeks now!

  • If you don't have the option that says paper type/quality, choose quality & media instead. the grayscale option is at the bottom.

  • Thank you!!!!!!!!! I was getting there, then decided to google it. Printing out 25 pages that would have been color.

  • thanks very much that has really helped me save money on colour printing

  • helped me a lot! thanks so much!

  • Thanks a lot

  • when i click 'grayscale', there is no option for "black ink cartridge only". bummer. my printer company is a vampire squid.

  • so i have a bigger problem. Printing was easy but how do you make the printing to ALWAYS default to black and white without having to go through this each and every time I want to print from the web, or email etc. its not defaulting like it does on a PC. help please!!!

  • Ok - I'm so glad you did this! It is so simple - but I couldn't figure it out for the longest time!! Thanks!

  • Fantastic! As you said, a simple topic, but not as easy to maneuver as it should be. Thanks for the help!!! A perfect tutorial!

  • this was so helpful! thank youu

  • Can you set that to be the default setting?

  • thx soooo much !

  • thanks man...really helpful

  • Thank you so much! This was a huge help and definitely just saved me lots of colored ink while printing this 18 page colored document :-)

  • Thanks man ! it was a great help!

  • Thanks a lot! I wonder why they make this so hard!

  • You rock!

  • Thank you :D

  • You saved my life.

I love your voice btw ;)

  • thank you !!!!

  • thank u!

  • THANK YOU. Jeez, that took me forever to figure out, (I'm a noobie mac person) so thanks for saving my ink!!

  • Thank you ... you the man !!!

  • Duh!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH THIS HAS BEEN BOTHERING ME FOR YEARS

  • btw for those of you using printers with 2/3 black ink cartridges... under grayscale select "black ink only" that will save you on using photo black unnecessarily.

  • THANKZ!!!

  • Thanks!

  • Thank you! best tutorial i've seen

  • thnx this really helped

  • thank you so much!!!

  • You've saved my life! Thank you so much! :)

    @doctoranay, thank you too!

  • thanks dude

  • thanks dude!

  • Thnx

  • Omg thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! ive been tryna figure this out 4 the longest!! <3

  • Can you only pribt wireless with a mac cus we want to buy one but then we also have to buy a new printer

  • @jeroeni22 No, you can print wired or wireless.

  • awesome ! really useful tut !

  • Thank you so much for this!

  • This video is a great help but there's one more thing to add. If you want to make black & white printing the default, then follow the procedure described in the video, but *before* you press Print, go to the Presets pull down menu in the same print dialog window, and select Save As, and you can save this setting as Black & White or something equally clever. Next time you print, your saved Black & White setting is active. BH dude, thanks and I suggest you add this at the end of your video.

  • awesome , thanks!

  • thank you i could not find the option anywhere!

  • I followed your advice and the text were grey! I actually wanted black. How do I print just black from documents with lots of colors?

  • Thanks, this was helpful and very user friendly. Much appreciated! :)

  • Thanks! I'd been trying to figure that out forever. :) Should be much simpler/you wouldn't think they would make it so tricky.

  • Thank you!

  • Great video! Very helpful : )

  • thank you very much

  • Cheers!! I was wondering where this little option was. Great if you need to proof a document prior to printing a nice final copy! Nice work! :D

  • Thank you, Thank you!! I didn't have the same box come up, but I knew to look for the printer/quality bar. I had no idea had to get there & you showed me the way!

    Thank you, so much!

  • Thanks. Printing greyscale on a mac can be infuriating.

  • Thanks so much for this, it was driving me mad!

  • Actually I think the options you get might be decided by the printer you choose in the top "Printer" box.. I mean it makes sense that this is related to the drivers you load when you buy your printer.. So because I don't have a HP like you I get different options..

  • Hi.. is this Snow Leopard? I'm on Leopard and I can't see an option called paper type/quality..

I've got a paper handling and a Quality & Media option, but neither have the disclosure triangle named Color that you show..

    Pete

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!

  • thank you so much :)

    btw

how did you get that little purple ripple everytime you clicked??

    that was so cool!

  • Thanks! That is a feature of Screenium, my screen recorder.

  • @lilsprocker if you figure out how to get the purple ripple let me knoww haha

  • Thank you!

  • thanks man!!!

  • THANK YOU!!!!

  • Thanks! This helped a lot!

  • thanks. helped alot
