Dr. N Gopalakrishnan is a Charismatic Public Speaker and I respect him for his style, but unfortunately he is selling rituals and superstitions instead of much needed science and research.
@palaakaran Pls refrain from equating rituals with superstition. If you think so, thats only bcos u dont understand them. Everything in this world is not "evidence" based. As there are evidence based events/objects, similarly there are non evidence based ones as well. The latter is what spirituality is based on.
Science and research can only go so far. It will stop at a point, beyond which you cannot proceed.
who told u spirituality is not evidence-based? the point is our science is only in its infancy now, we only started to understand (by science) how nature works. As we make progress we would be able to understand more of the purely only experiencable knowledge (eg.spirituality) in terms of experiments. Dr. V. S. Ramachandran has already made some progress in explaining artistic skills/experience in scientific terms.
what do you know about science mr. palaakaran? can you give an explanation for electric field, or magnetic field or any kind of field (a field is a space filling entity with an infinite set of data points at any given point of time) without making seemingly superstitious assumptions. if u dont know what science is, plz make some effort to learn it first, then you wont be making this kind of stupid comments

The backbone of any science is "theory" = explanation, which is indeed intuition- and logic-based. What is important in science is intuitive wisdom and logical reasoning (mostly with maths) and not just your "evidence".

im sorry if ive hurt ur understanding by up loading this...and i ve have only seen among bhakti marga followers that they are so stubborn in there thoughts... bhagavat geeta comes from the conciousness of krishna the ultimate. it has got infinite meanings so its better not to argue and find him our own ways... there are many paths and thoughts which can lead to ultimate...select the path which suits u.. don't impose it on others because diff. people hve diff consciousness.
As bhagavatham discusses that in the kali yuga there will be so many false propagaters who will simply propagate irreligion as religion. Ur understanding of the ultimate vedic conclusions are totally wrong.
krishna in the bhagavad gita says vedais ca sarvair aham eva vedya. so pls krishna is the ultimate veda. Also krishna in the 12th chapter of the bhag gita says klesho dikataras tesham avyakta saktha cetasam avyakta hi gatir dukham dehavadbhir avapyate.
i am sure u have higher consciousness than me. search lord within u not the Scripture scripture again has been manipulated by many 4 last 1000s of years according to there consciousness.
instead of answering the points which i have raised, u have resorted to killing the very scriptures from which such temple worships are born. calling someone stubborn because he points out reality is no defence of your point. pls donot resort to such kind of gimickry. it cannot be a sane debate. personal views are exactly what is being challenged and im sorry to say that u have lost the plot and the chance to really look at what im hitting at.

Also the ultimate aim is not impersonal as being told by u. The ultimate perfection of one's vedic practice as per the bhagavad gita is to surrender to the supreme lord Krishna which is personal and not impersonal. .
