although i was a total rebel in school, and i mean total--against the institution to the max, now i'm a teacher, and i'm offended that you put all schools/teachers in the category you mentioned. i didn't decide to go into education until i was 30 because i saw how much teachers that weren't out to indoctrinate were needed to guide our youth. i went into education to open people's eyes to CONTROL! i am one ATYPICAL educator.

thanks for apologizing. i teach 8th grade. it's a great book to teach teens about the indoctrination you're talking about. when i was in high school, one of my theme songs was 'we don't need no education---we don't need no thought control!' i still love that song, and when i tell my students that at the beginning of the year, they almost fall over in their chairs. you take care, and thanks for your comments!
