i have been a meteorologist for 31 years and i can tell you dat aint no meteor--

watch at :05 that is what we call a nublea fart and the moving object must have some preponderance of gas to issue that effect. meteors are mostly metal fibers and everyone knows fiber prevents gas build-up.

It happens on a regular basis and so the location and time can be predicted. Most meteors are smaller than a grain of sand, but travel so fast that they emit huge amounts of energy when they hit the earths atmosphere. :)

it was also visible in illinois. I was able to see it from beginning to end. It scared the bajeebers outa me at first. It was perfectly clear outside and a flash of light lit up the whole sky! i was facing north towards the Mississippi River in the Quad Cities an it went from west to east, then it exploded and looked like a flare! I take it as a very serious omen to witness that because from what i understand, you have a better chance being struck by lightning than witnessing that!
