  • ah "the third degree" interesting note.

  • ah "the third degree" interesting note.

  • Thank you for posting these videos. They are very informative.

  • What is the name of the song used for this video?

  • Thinking that the Catholic Church and other denominations of Christians still believe in Satan, the demons as spiritual entities who influence people today is scary. Last year in Brazil, bishop excommunicated doctors, nurses and the illiterate mother of a 9 years old girl pregnant with twins conceived by rape because she had an abortion. What would these holy men done if they had more power? Send the poor woman in prison? You bet. Women are still not safe.

  • Rebekah's letter tears my heart out! To think that my ancestors suffered for the knowledge they had makes me appreciate my heritage even more.

  • I wonder how different this history would be if Brennus had finished what he started in Rome, or if Carthage had won the Punic Wars...

  • One of the best documentaries ever made on the "other" side of religious history. We cling to our old home-recorded VHS of it. Glad to see it here.

  • As it goes with the common saying, "women give sex to get love, and men give love to get sex". Women's love is treated as a nonexistant, strange thing, and that they are motivated by finding a caretaking partner to "love" instead of independence. That a woman's sex is a payment and that a woman's sexuality is her husbands.

How ironic that stereotyping women as ungodly hypersexual beasts has reversed, only to becoming something terrible of it's own.

  • @LadyBlutHecate That is not fair, women are varied as are men. There may be disparities in the numbers but there are many hedonistic women who treat men as objects for their personal pleasure, just as with men who treat women this way. There are men who love their partners deeply and are loyal to them, just as there are women who are this way.

Please do not stereotype men yet complain about stereotyping of women, it is hypocritical. We are all individuals, we should be judged as individuals.

  • "And then unable to control their sexual urges."

Excuse me, a typo. Women stereotyped as asexual gatekeepers. And men as unable to contain their desires. Women are not allowed to go topless in public, because it is viewed that it will dangerously entice men, who are ravenously controlled by their sexuality in contrast to the asexual woman who has to "learn" her sexuality from her romantic encounters from a man.

  • In modern times, men are mocked and scorn for being virgins, while women are praised as "not being like those other whores and skanks". A man is judged by his virility and sexual encounters, while a woman the same is treated as "used goods".

Secular society today is still heavily influence by the demonization of women's sexuality. It merely takes on a different form. The women no longer stereotyped as sexual, but asexual gatekeepers. And then unable to control their sexual urges.

  • Interesting enough, it is men in modern times who are stereotypes as sex animal. It's similar in some ways to those times, but also different.

Women are still expected to be good gatekeepers, that is, refuse sex, much less seek it. Lest they of course be viewed as demonic "slut" of sort. But men are told is it completely natural and in their nature to be far more interested in sex than women.

  • it is a pity that such an organisation as the church that profeses to know the will of there god so much knows so little about his word, it is therefore understandable why there are so many so called good christian people that aproach other eligions with such hait in there harts, it is amazing how far away from the teachings of christ and jehova the church has drifted. the church has truly fallen of the path to there god

  • I'm a Jesus person, and in these days, I would have been tortured, too, because I believe in one's right to read and own a Bible. And, I do not support the Catholic church. I say this: the same "hammer" which hurt so many female generations is the same hammer which killed Christ Jesus. It is the hammer of cruelty which is born of sin. And sin is a human disease of the heart. I am sad that so many say that Christians would bring back torture. The heart of Jesus' message was love.

  • does anyone know what the other two documentaries in this series are called? or if there is even two more in esistance?

  • Full Circle and Goddess Remembered, and the three make up a trilogy called Women and Spirituality.

  • Rebecca Lemp's Letter is so emotional

  • Rebecca Lemp's Letter was so emotional

DO YOU THINK ALL OF THEM ARE CHRISTIAN? YOU ARE STILL A PART OF PAGANISM. thnx for the vid.

  • Long live the Druids Brehon Laws at the Hill of Taras Royal Grove

  • Greta series of vids.

This history of atrocity needs to be taught more. Modern religions, where fanatics have control in nuclear nations, are a grave threat to civilization. It is time for rationalism and honest, sincere skepticism to push aside mystical and stone-age religious morality.

  • Thank you so much for putting this documentary up, I am doing a final essay for my degree on the representation of witches on plays and how accurate it was and this has been incredibly informative as I didn't really know anything about the history of witches before I saw this!

  • And whats even sadder is that the fundementals of all of the many branches of christianity that exist today would gladly bring back the burning times.

  • This comment was born out of anger and resentment, has no basis in fact at all. A true Christian who loves the Lord would be hurt that this happened. The ones who did these deeds of horror will answer to the Lord accordingly, as will we all.

  • But what did they really win ?

We're still here and we always will be.

  • thank you for sharing this.. its sad but true. what the catholic Church has done to us..

  • And whats even sadder is that this is what all branches of fundemental christians would like to do to us again.
