  • awesome

  • occupy!

  • Great song. And great work downloading all these B-Sides. She's unique. I truly can't find somebody to compare with her.

  • Totally inspiring, fearless genius.

  • Hi. do you mind posting "One Time Too Many" if you have it. Im not sure if it was a b side, but its not on youtube anymore

  • Hi. do you mind posting "30" if you have it? I believe it was a b-side to "Good Fortune" if im not mistaken.

  • I never fully appreciated this song until just now. Funny how it takes 5 years for things to sink in sometimes. Thanks for that!

  • better appreciate it later than never:-) welcome

  • thank you so much for posting this...can't see why it was a b-side

  • agree with you. I think that this song is much better than most of "offical" songs on Stories from the city, stories from the sea (which is my last favourite PJ's album). My own private revoluton is just amazing

  • Hmmm....that's ironic, because "Stories" is my personal favorite out of all her albums. I like the way she managed to fuse the aggression and push of her early albums with the more experimental textures of her later ones...anyway, to each his own. "Rid of Me" is fantastic too.

  • I'm already used to be an "outsider" among PJ's fans for not loving Stories:-) Anyway We Float is one of her best songs ever, listening to it always brings tears to my eyes. Yeah, Rid of me kicks ass, just love it:-)

  • Yeah, "We Float" is great, so are "The Whores Hustle and the Hustlers Whore" and "This Mess We're In". My least favorite of her albums is actually "Uh Huh Her", which I think was too much of an extreme reaction to the polish of "Stories". It wasn't even that polished, all it did was just strip away all of the opaqueness of her other albums. "Uh Huh Her", on the other hand, was too murky and too much of a throwback to her early work. (Although, "The Desperate Kingdom of Love is one of her best)

  • This Mess We're In is my another favourite song from Stories, it's sooo nice:-) And what I really like about this album are it's amazing b-sides like As close as this, Kick it to the ground, Memphis. 66 Promises...all good stuff. To Uh huh her I have complicated relationship. I simply LOVE one half of songs on this album, the second one leave me rather cold. And you are right, Uh huh her is somehow step back... Anyway I absolutely adore most of music that Polly has ever recorded:-)

  • Yeah, I know. "Stories" just seems to conjure up the magic and majesty of the big city, you know, all those those towering skyscrapers and crowded streets. "Uh Huh Her" is just too murky and uninspired. Almost everything she did on that album she did better elsewhere, except "The Desperate Kingdom of Love", which made me cry the first time I heard it, and "Who the Fuck?", which is just so much fun.

  • @ZZqezza

Uh Huh Her is just more punk rock as opposed to the polished pop rock from Stories. I actually love both. They are just different genres. If Dry is not a favorite of your Uh Huh Her will probably not be either. Some of the Stories tracks are a little too polished for me though - like "This is Love" for instance. That is still genre preference only though. She excels in any mode of expression she choses.

  • @ZZqezza Uh Huh Her is my favorite. You still don't like it?

  • @bobbelibob Uh uh her really grew on me a lot. Now I think that it's one of her best

  • paráda!:)

  • thanks-another good 1
