Elbows are technically allowed in MMA in the states as well. It's the 12-6 Elbows that come straight down that are illegal.

NOTE: Awesome wrestlers put on 2 to 4 star matches each event no mater what. When they go to WWE, they are actually taking a break from wrestling and getting paid to talk for 10 minutes, take acting lessons for movies, and at some point put on a 1 star match for 2 to 4 minutes.

If I were announcer for WWE and now TNA (sadly) I'd say this.

"Our next match is the MAIN EVENT of the evening.It is scheduled for 1 fall with a 5 minute time limit! It's the top mid-card vs. the obvious winner!!"

You've shown yourself to be ignorant of the current product; many wrestlers have been saying the words "wrestle," "wrestler," and "wrestling" in their promos. Danielson - for example - called himself a "very good wrestler" on Smackdown. The title picture is full of talented wrestlers. 99% of wrestlers in the world would like to be in the WWE. Of course there are faults, but it's #1 for a reason and offers job security.

@GreyM I know you have faith in WWE, but speaking as a former WWE fan, I have no doubt that despite the big push he's gotten recently, the ball's gonna be dropped concerning Danielson. It may have been some years ago, but that WWE placed both Benoit and Guerrero in mid-card hell for the sake of Orton and JBL...let's not even talk about how WWE handled their deaths.

Doesn't matter how many fluke-Titles Danielson wins with Hardcore 24/7 rules...I mean MitB, we will never have match classics like he delivered during his pre-wwe time. I'm happy for him for the money but for fans it's a loss. And the title picture of WWE will probably change back to the old faces soon, since TV-ratings are dropping ever since Punk replaced Cena at the top. Reportedly women and children change the channel when he's on.

@corkscrewfoley Actually, the "Crippler" Crossface and the "LeBell Lock" are two completely different moves. Watch the way Danielson traps the arm as opposed to the way Benoit used to trap the arm. Not only that, but the actual TECHNICAL name for the "LeBell Lock" is the Omoplata Crossface, and as far as I know(someone correct me if I'm wrong), it was invented by Gene LeBell. Hence why Danielson calls it the "LeBell Lock".

@AxelAction never actually created by Judo Gene, It is just a Omoplata crossface. This has been around forever, You can use it as a lapel choke too if you are not allowed cranks. There is a interview where Gene is shown the move in a match of Danielson's, and its clear it is not a signature LeBell move, but a shout out.

his submission game is great but his striking attacks are also way above par, the roaring elbow, that brutal boot. He's even got a few decent Lucha style high flying attacks and takeovers even if his top rope arsenal is old school standbys. I'd say he's the most well rounded wrestler in the world.
