When you rack the slide on an empty magazine, it can be brutal on the extractor. So even though you can dry fire with regard to the firing pin, it's still good to get snapcaps for dry firing.

Everytime you dry fired that firearm I felt uneasy. Remember MUSCLE MEMORY. You took out your Glock, you pulled the trigger and then you racked the slide. Hey DEMCAD, I watch your videos quite regularly. You shouldn't dry fire that sidearm like that or it won't ready when you need it. You should use snap caps when doing that or you can cause a "punched out slide" in the firing mechanism. I read a comment from a senior technician at Glock-USA who said although the user manual says nothing about dry firing they do recommend using snap-caps to prevent damage. Just offering advice.

In a previous video you asked about cocking the weapon or chambering a round if one of your arms is injured or blown off. Kneel down to whatever knee on the side of which hand is still capable. Use the heel of your boot to pull the Action back.
Purchase some snap-cap plastic rounds. They will protect your firing pin. Get a Hogue grip, that Glock gets slippery when it's wet or freezing outside. Look into a Titanium recoil reducer; they cost about $100 bucks but it takes the pressure off the trigger pull about 30%. Practice lining up your sights more. Speed is nice but accuracy is more important. Half the dudes that train can't hit shit. The instructor literally has to have them walk up to the target 2 feet to pass the course.

You should use snap caps when doing that or you can cause a "punched out slide" in the firing mechanism. I read a comment from a senior technician at Glock-USA who said although the user manual says nothing about dry firing they do recommend using snap-caps to prevent damage. Just offering advice.

20% of socipaths are PSYCHOPATHS, or about 1% of Americans. Again that may not sound like a lot but that means 3-1/2 million Americans are psychopaths. If you live in a town of 100 people, on average 5 of those people will be socipaths and 1 will be a psychopath. Hmmmm.

Purchase some snap-cap plastic rounds. They will protect your firing pin. Get a Hogue grip, that Glock gets slippery when it's wet or freezing outside. Look into a Titanium recoil reducer; they cost about $100 bucks but it takes the pressure off the trigger pull about 30%. Practice lining up your sights more. Speed is nice but accuracy is more important. Half the dudes that train can't hit shit. The instructor literally has to have them walk up to the target 2 feet to pass the course.

Stop dry firing if you are not going to aim. The idea is to dry fire like you live fire. I suggest a lazer that goes into the breach (looks like a bullet) Get one that allows you to dry fire. You can then see how much you might be shaking and how well you can maintain sight picture.

@Thewizzardof9 True, I live in a very expensive state, after paying rent, gas, car expenses, utilities, cell phone, food, insurance (all kinds), a little entertainment (books, movies before 6PM), Xmas gifts and emergencies, I had no extra money. $40,000 sounds like a lot, but after they take out 25% in taxes, then remove my portion of the cost for health insurance, disability insurance, dental insurance, I'm only making $25,000.
