  • were does julie say when i get high because i didnt hear her say it x

  • Can I find this medley on iTunes? I wish I could!

  • Ahh, 1971. The peak of ugly clothes and hairstyles.

  • Great hair, Carol!...I'll bet even she laughs when she sees this.

  • perfect.. the two ladys are just perfect, talented, wonderfully having lovely voices!!!

  • aww funny girl as well :)

  • BEATLES! <3 and Julie and Carol! You really can't beat that combo.

  • the duet to end all duets.

  • trop mignon when she speaks french ;) very very nice moment! thank you!

  • Oooh, those 1970 collars!! Fantastic blended vocal tone, though.

  • Oooh, those 1970 collars!!

  • is it me, or is julie pretty much the most perfect person who has ever and will ever live? shes GORGEOUS, funny, has an awesome figure, she has a heavenly voice, and theres no end to her list of talents :)

  • I wish I looked like Julie Andrews. I think she's the most-attractive actress of her day, and for all time. I know I'd kill for those legs instead of the tree stumps I have...

  • they are still the same today

  • LOOOVE Julie hitting it all in fluent french! Just... My gosh. LOVE IT.

  • I think the voice differences almost go along the line of folk vs classical. Julie having that classical lyric tone while Carol has the deeper mezzo of a folk singer. =^..^=

thanks for posting this collaboration of the two ladies. I was just a kid then but can remember being dressed up to see them when my mom got tickets. Great memory!

  • i love the little pop that julie does at the end of that french thing

  • I love the little shuffle thing they do at 6:42

  • The french part is funny and almost without an accent! Julie and Carol are so great together.

  • I can't get over how many songs Carol's was the more appropriate voice. Perhaps it was the bluesy nature of 60's music? Julie's was pretty but didn't seem to have the power Carol's did. I never really thought of Carol as a singer before tonight when I stumbled on these from the "What's my Line" clip of Carol

  • YAY!! YES!!!! BEATLES!! HAHAH!!! BEATLES!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I knew they were going to sing some Beatles!!!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!!!!! HAHAH!!!!! OH YES!! Some of my two favorite people singing about my other 4 favorite :D

  • @samsamsammysam1 same here xD

  • @JLEPSS96 We're AWESOME hahah ha

  • beautiful

  • Her french at the beginning is hilarious... even though she says "dix neuf cent" instead of "mille neuf cent" but thats ok :)

    So amazing.

  • They are just, amazing I bought all the songs from this and downloaded this onto my itunes I just got addicted to their voices :LL, I listened to it only a few days ago for the first time and i already know all the words! I think i might just be a little sad ;)

  • They are practically amarried couple arent they.

  • Yes!

  • Thank you sooo much for posting this video! I love it! :)

  • My best friend and I memorized this off the album and used to sing it while crusing around like teeagers do. LOL I still remember the french intro 30yrs later! Thanks for posting and thanks for the memories!

  • Hilarious!!!!!!!!!! Was that French that julie was speaking near the begining?

  • hree of my favorite things in the world! Julie, Carol, and the Beatles!

  • I can't get over how GORGEOUS Julie is! BEAUTIFUL! (:

  • wow! always loved 'em, such entertainment, from long ago...

  • I love them!!!! Btw, Julie's French is pretty good. :)

  • you can tell they absolutely adore each other.

    what a friendship!

  • LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is great stuff!

  • Julie Andrews, Carol Burnett and Sgt. Pepper? How much better can this get?! 8D

  • HAHAHA I LOVE LOVE LOVE when Julie just randomly starts to ramble on in French!!!! But she goes so fast!!!! lol I'm supose to memorize what she says!!!! Good thing I'm in French!!! ohh la la!! LOL Je t'aime!!!

  • yes she really does know french!! :D

  • does she really know french?

  • Oh my God - this is heaven! Classy and kitschy at once. Two greats at their peak.

  • These two have got to be the most lovable women of all time.

  • i read about carol's bad hair day in her new book! it is soo funny

  • 6:17 Carol starts to sing a song called By The Time I Get To Phoenix. Reba McEntire recorded it for an album of songs by other artists she liked around 1995(6). =]

  • I guess they weren't big fans of synths back then... WAH WAH WAH WAH.

  • jajajjaja julie sing out of key thats a nice joke XD !!

julie and carol are the best !!

  • thry look funny

  • Oh, uh this was a BAD idea. Love these ladies though.

  • Ahah so cool when Julie speaks french <3

  • Voulez-vous hit it, Pete? LOL

  • This entire medley is wonderful I love these two together! One of my favorite parts though is 5:59 !!

Julie: "Ah-Ba, Ba, Ba, Ba, Ba, Ba, Ba, Ba, Ba-BAH!"

    xD

  • 'mm i get high with a couple of friends'

    thats it julzzz

  • Even though they're singing the Beatles, it's still really funny to me hear Julie Andrews say "I get high". It might just be me. :D

It's also funny to me that they imitate instruments. I think they're a great team, both musically and comically. :D

  • if you look closely it looks like carol burnett's about to lose it when she says that.

  • @Blitzcomo "i get high with a little help from my friends" BAHAHA! Julie is the greatest.

  • @dolphinjjam :D

  • @Blitzcomo Search the uncut blooper reel, she says all sorts of things like piss off and bullshit haha sooo weird

  • @appledumplingpie where can i find the blooper reel? :D x

  • @appledumplingpie I know it's so funny!! It makes me laugh every time I see it XD

  • @Blitzcomo I was SO about to write the EXACT same thing about Julie saying "I get high." What is it about that that makes it so funny?!? I actually laughed out loud when I heard that. :)

  • @Jennafu832 I think it's cause we all think of her as that innocent mary poppins/ maria character and then she says "high" and our brains get confuzzled XD

  • Does someone have a Mp3 version of this or other songs from the Julie&Carol specials?? When yes could you maybe sned it to me????

    Thanks very much !!

I love them both very much and they´re so funny

  • @KimLoveJulie Go to dirpy.com. Plug the URL of any video in and you can download into MP3. I have successfully done it with several of these videos.

  • @KimLoveJulie if you haven't gotten this on mp3, there are several 'programs' on the net that will convert this clip to mp3....

  • @KimLoveJulie Hopefully this will help. I don't have the audio BUT you can dowload "Atube catcher" for free and it lets you take audio from the actuall clip. I have downloaded it and i have found it very usefull in getting audio that you can't actualy get Lol. I do hope that helps in a way :):)

  • I like the song at 2:32 and I think it ends at 2:50 what song is that?

  • It's I Love Rock and Roll by Peter Paul and Mary, continuing on from what Julie was singing (: I love it too, beautiful harmony...

This is such a great medley, and Carol & Julie and such fantastic singers (:

Does anyone know what Carol is singing from 3:36 to about 4:42? I am currently trying to put together all the guitar chords to this medley, if anyone is interested in me posting it somewhere when I'm done...

  • from 4:01 to 4:35 they're singing "Little green apples"

  • @wouldyalikajellybaby yes! please post! and i think Julie and Carol both look so beautful here. they always have been gorgeous, but i think it was during this time period where they were looking at their best. they both had amazing hairstyles and stuff. just perfect together! (:

  • oh thank you well i was not sure if i should ask for a list....i know all the beatles song because im a beatles fans but this songs a very beautiful too and two amazing singers and actress.

  • - Up, Up And Away - The Fifth Dimension - Do You Know The Way To San Jose - Dionne Warwick - Leaving On A Jet Plane - John Denver - I've Been Away So Long.. ? I don't find what is that song. - By The Time I Get To Phoenix - Glen Campbell - Downtown - Petula Clark - Feelin' Groovy - Simon & Garfunkel - Sunny - Bobby Hebb - Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head - Hal David - You've Made Me So Very Happy - Blood, Sweat & Tears - The Girl From Ipanema - Jobim
  • Thanks ever so for this list!

I *think* that what you have listed as "I've Been Away So Long" is actually just them continuing the lyrics from "Do You Know The Way To San Jose", as that is the line that follows in the lyrics. (Do you know the way to San Jose/ I've been away so long/ I may go wrong/and lose my way.)

  • I made the list of all the songs they sing in that medley. I made it for me, but if it's any use to someone, here it is ! :)

    - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles

    - With A Little Help From My Friends - The Beatles

    - And The Beat Goes On - Sonny And Cher

    - I Dig Rock And Roll - Peter, Paul & Mary

    - Everybody Is Talking At Me - Harry Nilsson

    - Gentle On My Mind - Glen Campbell

    - Little Green Apples - Roger Miller

    - Both Sides Now - Joni Mitchell

    - If - Bread

  • Love Julies "now" at 8:33

  • Loved their short rendition of "Moon River" and "Let it be"! The only thing that could've made "Moon River" better is if Audrey Hepburn (or at least her voice) appeared in that segment.

  • No, her singing wasn't dubbed in Breakfast at Tiffany's. And there is no piano in the song either. For the dubbing, you're probably mistaking with My Fair Lady..

  • oh, yeah! I've been proven wrong... I've seen it in different sources as well. And I don't know what got over me when I wrote "Piano". I meant guitar

  • Spanish indeed! lol. Does she actually speak french? because that was accentless!

  • She Probably learned in school!

  • No, she learned it by going in France, I guess, because she stopped going to school when she was very young !

  • Amazing that they memorized all this, and they can sing two different songs at the same time!

  • This great clip is mislabled - there's no 1950s here. As they say in the intro, these are songs from the decade after their classic 1962 Carnegie Hall concert.

  • You are right, MrDougLong. I'm sorry... I should have rechecked the clips before I uploaded them.

  • This is AMAZING!!! Two truly gifted and talented ladies!

Thank you very much for sharing it!

  • LOL, I'm French and I can tell Julie has a geat accent, despite some mistakes.

    I just adore them (sigh).

  • Hi, because you are french... could you do me a big favour? Could you write down the french julie says? I'm trying to write the whole lyrics but my french (in being Dutch) just is not enough!

    That would be great!

    love

    Brenda

  • Hi there (Yes thats's me, I deleted my account but created a new one)

"Ce soir , nous allons commencé où nous sommes finis. A Carnegie Hall nous avons présenté un mélange de chansons de l'année dix-neuf cent [1900]. Maintenant nous aimerions continuer avec les dix ans passés."

    Later "Oui, peut-on commencer ? " / "Oui, voulez-vous" [then I don't catch what Carol says either]

Hope this helps. So you're Dutch ? I saw a video with Audrey Hepburn speaking Dutch, she made it sound lovely ;-)

  • she says Voulez- vous Hit it Pete

  • 9:03 h is it THE come together from the beatles? Didn´t sound like that.

  • Love ut

  • awesome!
