  • @ronnkan4 Thank you :) I totally understand. God bless Sis.

  • I like your natural hair and protective style photos. I like that short layered bob lace front wig. What's the name of that lace wig?

  • @Nyquia Thanks girl :)

  • I love this video, This is the second time I am trying to go natural and I couldnt figure out what protective styles to try, esspecially since my sides are very thin and I am trying to grow them back! Your very beautiful without the lace, but beautiful with them! I was wondering, Did you just do the big chop or did you grow out your hair? Because I still have relaxed hair and I was wondering without cutting it how i could have it come out faster if thats possible..

  • Thanks y0lliep0llie :) Yes, I did the big chop because I did not want to deal with the two textures of hair & wanted to go through the whole process of starting all over. This is also my 2nd time natural & the 1st time I transitioned & it did not seem as if my hair grew as fast as it did now. However, I do have more knowledge about being natural so that could have something to do with it to. I take really good care of my hair. I encourage women to do what feels comfortable. I'm glad I did BC :)

  • Hi!

When you wore the fake ponies was your real hair in a ponytail underneath? If not, how were they attached?

  • Hi Theresamonet. When I wore the pony I had my hair slicked back with ECO Styler gel and the pony was attached with the combs and/or bobby pins. I had a short twa so I did not have enough hair to put in a pony. You must slick you hair down (mold it) as if you are going to wear a pony, tie down natural hair until it gets dry, and when it's dry attach the pony. When I go to sleep I detach the pony and tie hair down then when I wake up I attach the pony. I hope this makes sense. God bless :)

  • Thank You! I've been trying to figure out how to do this since my BC. I used to love my phony ponies. God Bless you too!

  • My recent videos kinda show how I did it. I thought about you & wanted to show how it's done.

  • I love this vid it is sooooo informative u did a great job showing that u can hv all kinda different PROTECTIVE!! styles & still b stylin LOL!!!

  • Thanks MYANANI1 :)

  • Hey! I was wondering if doing single braids using extensions would be a good protective style?

I'm thinking about transitioning for 6 months to a yaer without having to go through the big chop, and then cut off the relaxed hair where it meets the nu growth, and than continue braiding my hair, and when taking out the braids, using good products for my hair that will moisturize, such as olive oil & shea butter, etc...do you think this is a good plan?

  • I think that's a wonderful plan. Single braids with extension is a great protective style.

  • Thank you so much!

  • You have beautiful eyes

  • Thanks puppibanana.

  • awesome video!!!....love all the styles and yes, my favorite is you and your beautiful twa!!!

  • Thanks napturalserenity.

  • I don't know if this is going to sound weird or not, but you have a perfect round head, and your natural hair looks so good with. LOL. When I wear my natural hair out, my head is shaped so funny.

  • pernella24 you are sooo funny. I know, I have a round lemon head. Thanks for the compliment.

  • thank u so much

  • You're welcome Socialbutterfly3000

  • who's song is this? almost sounds like chante moore

  • apatte4975, yes, it is chante moore and her husband. You know your artists.

  • i think it is her and her husband

  • Thanks for the great suggestions. Where did you fing the big fluffy pony tail? I'd love to find one. It would be great for traveling or to use on the weekened.

  • The Afo -ponytail is really pretty. Enjoyed your ideals on protective styles. Thank you

  • Thanks passion169u.

  • Your so welcome. Much success to you on your quest to healthly hair.

  • I cant find this curl pony anywhere! I love the fullness and texture!! Do you have any more info on it?

  • Let me check the name of the store I bought it from & I will let you know. Sorry, it is not the regular store I go to & I can't recall the name. Give me a few days. Glad you like it!

  • Ok, since our hair is too short to put in a pony, we have to gel it down (gel the front & sides back & the back up) like your going to put it in a pony, then tie it down while you are asleep. When u wake up, it should be dry. Use the combs on the fake ponytail to insert in your hair or u can use bobby pins to secure fake ponytail. U can remove fake pony each night while asleep & tie down your natural hair, or leave fake pony in and tie down hair. Hope this helps. Thanks & God bless!

  • i love this video but i have one question, what is the name of the bob lace front wig that you have on first i love it, it's so cute and where did you purchase it? thanks and be blessed:)

  • Thanks jnt50477. I threw that package away but, check out Motown Tress collection of front lace wigs. They have a variety of short lace wigs that are really cute. If I see the one a bought from my local hair store, I will let you know. I love this human Michelle Obama front lace that is out. Google it and I am sure you can find out who makes it. Have a blessed day:)

  • nice video, is the eco gel the only thing you use to get your hair to lay down? thanks

  • Thanks butterfli78. I also use Fantasia Olive Oil (green kind) gel. It has a mild hold but Eco has a strong hold.

  • Thank you for sharing your ideas. It's nice to be able to protect your hair while mixing it up a little. I borrowing the puffy pony idea :)

  • Thanks for the compliment hypotheticalbeing.

  • Nice hair styles.Where did you get the curly ponytail.

  • Thanks for the compliment SharmetaB. I got it from my local beauty supply store. It is Tress Collection Pearl. If you google it, I am sure you can order it on-line.

  • Thanks friend. I really do appreciate it Devatammie1.

  • Great Video!! Our hair is so the same length!!

  • Thanks for the compliment blford7.

I know! It is awesome. I get so excited when I see your videos because it's like I'm looking at my own hair progress.

  • The song is Rejoice (Clap Your Hands) by Chante Moore and Kenny Latimore. It was on the Gotta Have Gospel CD.

  • Thanks for the compliment MissTasha21.
