its coming up one the one year mark of the loss of my son, it still feels like the same day, i for one, use music as an outlet, i must tell you how beautiful your song is, even tho it makes me cry, it is a great and powerful song, that , for me gives a little bit of an outlet and release, im so sorry for the loss of your son, i can completely understand, you and your family are in my prayers

@survivorluv Sometimes we need something that makes us cry because we have to hold in the tears and they build up and then we need a good cry. I am so sorry for your loss; one year is still so fresh & raw. It's so heartbreaking, I can empathize with what you're feeling. I have a whole cd of songs that I wrote after my son died. @melaniebourgoin59 sorry for your loss. my son has been gone three years now...it has changed me in ways i never could have imagined. except for the pain of loosing him and all that, it all paved the way for what I believe is the most positive time of my entire life. How or why, I do not know. Maybe its just because i feel like I climbed Mt Everest and made it to the top. Thank you for watching my video. It took about 2 yrs for me to start to feel like I could even go on living but even now there are days when I still wonder how I can go on without my son. But, somehow u do and u will. That's what the song is about, which I know you can relate to. No matter where we go or what we do, the longing to reconnect with our children will always haunt us. We'll never be free of it...ever. I'm sure it is terribly painful. Nathaniel will always be a part of your life & at some point you will find yourself in a new kind of relationship where he is only spiritual. Don't worry that Nathaniel's mom cries all the time. I did and it helped me heal. Please tell her about a group called Compassionate Friends. You asked, "Why do people we love have to die?" It's a part of life & we have no way of knowing how or when. There is no way to prepare ourselves for the sorrow. Peace 2 u

this is a lovely song, my bestfriend Nathaniel was killed on Dec.10th, and his mom is takin it very hard...he was only 18 years old!!! We all miss and love him dearly!!!! Everyday I talk to her, trying to encourage that it'll all get better in time, but it seems to only get worst. We cry ourselves to sleep everynight just wishing it was all a dream :-( its just not fair! Why do people that we love have to die? Im 17 years old, and I just dont understand why people are so cruel to one another!

@praisesbeforethekill ...........My son died in a car accident. He was driving too fast, lost control of his car, and hit a tree. He died instantly, without a mark on him. The ending part of this video shows the place where he died, the trees and the tire marks. It was weird, when I took those pictures, if you look close you can see the sun shining down on the grass where he died. It looks a little like someone running. I hope my son can hear my songs and see the videos in heaven.

@nerdy5746 ......yes, always try and appreciate the people in your life. i'm glad you learned that. Be nice to your younger brother. I had four kids and Carmen (the one who died) was the youngest. His brothers and sister miss him terribly, and I feel so bad for them. They think about him every single day.
