For me different problem.. after installing nvidia driver it asks to restart... after restarting...my computer is just freezing..... then somehow i uninstalled it.. now my computer is fine..... but i need that driver to work without lag... wat can i do....? plz help me
Change to ATI ! I am having problems with my 8800 gts and now with my 280 gtx so im now 100% that any display driver error is because of that crap gforce in few days I will test my computer on ATI card if it will solve my problem then nvidia will no longer be welcome in my rigs :) I read about my problem with graphic and what I discovered 95% people with that problems have nvidia cards :) I haved the same problems on XP so it is not OS error its driver and graphic card issue!
I did try ATI? i bought an ATI HD 5970 since i had the nvlddmkm.sys problem with my GTX 295 in windows Vista and Windows 7, then I tried the ATI HD 5970 in vista and 7 and then they say Atikmdag.sys stopped working and is fixed.... I downgraded to Windows XP, and now I get the same problem as the guy in the movie with both the ati hd 5970 and the GTX 295. But i only get those pixels and flashes, random colours and stuff in games. I don't get problems when using internet explorer and stuff.
@goshlol123 this problems are more related to drivers, programs, games ect not hardware :\ some time passed and my knowledge is bigger now. All we can try is changing drivers from new to older or other way :) nobody tries to make our lives with computers easier :D
@7BeAsT9 I'm starting to think, it has to be something very stupid, i sent my cards twice back under warranty, they gave me a new ATI HD 5970 and a GTX 295(asus)
I still get the bugt, under all my possible configurations, here at home.
@7BeAsT9 Nope, i'm getting the same problem with ATI cards, but then i get atikmdag stopped working, it also shows off in blue screen, i use 3-way SLI HD 5870. Single one doesn't work either, it bugs in windows XP, vista and seven.
i jus built a gaming comp an everythink is brand new so i think its driver related ive got 9600gt an this problem only happens with nvidia cards so im goin to invest in an ati card
I'm getting a BSOD memory dump on every startup because of this nvlddmkm.sys. The only solution is to uninstall the nVidia drivers and use the integrated graphics card which is useless for my games ect.
I got professional help from dell today and they suggested that it was a problem of overheating or motherboard faliure but ill probably write again if it solves the problem so stay tuned :D
After waiting ages and going in circles, I finally got my full refund. Shame about the card though, it was really good. Got myself another good deal with the ATi HD 4800 series cards. Hoping it won't fail on me (too) soon :P
The HD 4800 series is superb. Considering its price, the performance is outstanding. Although I haven't run any benchmarks (I wasn't paranoid enough to run any, because I am so satisfied with game quality) a quick google search will put numbers to these words :-) I am happy!
Hey eAGer4, totally get what your saying... I did initially pick up on some (what I thought were then) rumours on the internet about the poor quality of the cards, but the particular deal I was chasing was too sweet to miss out on. Guess it was too good to be true. I hope to get a full refund from Komplett (where I bought the card); but as of yet they are only offering a partial refund.
I have a HP DV9000series laptop with a nvidia Go7600 card. The card is stuffed, as I understand it ALL nvidia cards of that series and others use a substandard die/substrate material around the graphics chip, and they will ALL eventually die. Because they MELT!!! As mine has. I even updated BIOS which makes fan run non stop to cool card. Fortunately mine is still in the warranty period. It's in the shop now; will see what they do to fix it. Eventually, your card will die too

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Just get an X360 man, seriously, buying graphics cards for the PC isn't worth it, it's just not capable and you will be plagued with problems.
