At 4:39, notice that drop out rates increased for African Americans the most, they already know English, so taking away bilingual education from schools does not affect them. White drop out grade also increased. In fact, all races increased in drop out rate- maybe a social aspect caused this shift. (a third variable)

this video is VERY misleading. At 3:09... that's ALL American children, not only immigrants. At 6:55, how does disassembling bilingual education effect African Americans?? I didn't know they needed bilingual education- I thought they spoke English already. And women, really?! Cuz women need bilingual education??

Foreign language presents various neurological benefits; similar to other school classes that enrich the brain with countless neuron connections. Furthermore in California 48% of the population know a foreign language, thus is a great skill for a resume. People in my community continue to teach children at home a second language; I guess English as the only language students are missing out : ( the proposition should had expanded bilingual education to all students : )
