Can someone run a sub 2:40 marathon with "midfoot" style running? I've been a heel striker my whole life. I mean, I'm over 52! Can such folks learn a new style of running?
How can you run like this for a full marathon without your calf muscles dying out on you. Is it still ok if you let your heel gently kiss the ground when it contacts the ground?
I think it's fine, as long as your weight is mostly forward. You can have your weight over your toes with your feet still contacting the ground (as if only a sheet of paper would fit under the heels).
those shoes are really bad
looks like converse. Bad for your foot.
Get running shoes, shoes with a circular bottom preferably with extra patting to
reduce impact stress.
