@DarkTropius No, when you record AVI the final product is at 100% speed, but it isn't actually this good when playing.

It all comes down to hardware specs. Make sure Advanced Level Bus Timing is OFF though (in the emulator options).

Ugh, I remember Cyrus. Up till him, I didn't let any of my pokemon evolve. But with this guy, I just couldn't win, so I had to use rare candies to evolve them. Then he was manageable. Dude was that hard to go up against 0_0

1. Record AVI in DeSmuME

2. Cut videos to 256x192 in VirtualDub

3. Convert AVIs into mp4 files in Prism Video Converter

4. Upload mp4s

That's what I do for all of mine, and it results in pretty nice quality :x

but how do you do cropping on virtual dub??

Video -> Filters -> Add...

Double click null transform to add it, and that will activate the cropping option in the same menu that you're back in. Change the offsets to the pixels you want - ie if you want to crop videos for the HGSS ones you're doing, change the Y2 offset to 192, which will lower the vids from 256x384 to 256x192, which is the size of the top screen alone
