I don't understand how those kids not at the front can read that writing on the board from so far away. It's not a history class -- I'd say the notes on the board'd be important.
I don't know if he would have done much better without the interruptions. He seems to teach by free-association... "A bouncy ball. A cylinder. Anyway, directed graphs..."
The question is not IF you can, but how many actually do. Maybe that is the case, I don't know. But I find the concept of Legacies primitive. I'm sending my kids to Berkeley.

I guess that's different. But no one needs to take intro statistics, especially if they're going to Harvard. Seems like such a waste of time and money. But why would anyone major in statistics as an undergraduate? That's what graduate degrees are for...

how much money are your parents paying per college credit hour? Those classes aren't free and you kids are wasting your parents' or scholarship endowment's money. It's very selfish and spits into the face of students rejected by Harvard (some of whom are even more deserving to be where you are) or who could not afford to attend.

The College should bring Bonner back. She is well respected for her introductory stats class at the ES.

Don't be a douchebag... and btw, I'm paying nowhere near that much per credit hour.

Most of the students are middle class, and many have very little money. Harvard has fantastic financial aid, anyone who can get accepted can attend.
yortkiy4 3 years ago 15
so basicaly no matter how poor you are but if you are a very bright person you can attend?or anything else

yea blazerelf, it's true - any family with incomes under 40,000 a year (lower middle class) doesn't pay a dime towards education costs.

Most Harvard students have parents to make more than 100k.

Actually, I'm teaching myself probability and statistics to pass an actuary exam. And if you're a Harvard student taking statistics, you're retarded.
