I think it's ludicrous to compare the two versions - Rod & Elton. The interpretation is so different. Rod has that soul/suave delivery & Elton just punches it out the way only Elton can do. I own both albums & they're both *superb*! Do yourself a favor & listen to the song on the cd before trying to make *any* comparisons off You Tube...there are none!
