What i really dont get is why mac useres get them. most mac users only have macs to check email, watch videos, and listen to music. Why would you waste more that $1000 to do what you can do with a smartphone.

ive ran vista on a laptop for over 3ys..always on...i must be lucky but its very stable...the only times i got a crash was having not installed a latest driver
I really love the Mac vs. PC war.... I just don't get it! You buy what you like! Mac OS X is a really nice operatingsystem. Microsoft Windows too. And with Ubuntu Linux you'll get an easy Linux Operatingsystem. Everything you do on Windows, you can do on OS X and vice versa. If you're a serious gamer, you normally build your own computer from scratch.. And you can't build your own Mac (yeah you can build an hackintosh). But WHY continue this meaningless war? You could get a low-end but okay pc for $500, a decent one for $900 or so, but at the point, you might as well get a macbook for $999. While your PC my only last 3 days, (or 3 years, more likely); a mac will last much longer.

i dont like macs, but i dont think the os sucks. i find it more complicated then windows 7 and that it requires more "clicks" to get to programs then windows 7. Macs are pretty though. And apple is also partially owned by microsoft lol
I really can't believe that people think that one OS is better. Macs are really good if you use new programs on it, but if you require your machine to run some older programs then you have to use windows. So mac is faster and more secure, but it can run so much less stuff than windows.
I use Snow Leopard and I love the OS, but I can't say anything bad of Windows 7, which looks amazing and I have heard that it's even better.
xerox gave up the UI. apple accrued it from them, and in return apple hired the people that worked on that project at xerox because they didnt want the project to be taken away from them. they themselves knew it was a winner but the CEO of xerox couldn't care about it.
I have never found someone that switched to OSX from Windows and liked it. Everyone I know that switched to a Mac went back to Windows (or Linux for some of my guru friends). They hated Windows until they got a Mac. Now that can't be away from Windows.
Personally I've never used a Mac for more then just a few minutes at a Library. I hated it but it's because I'm used to Windows. But if Mac is so good then Why are all my friends switching back to Windows after using the Mac?

@080594M127 So I just had a check at your YouTube page and I see you're only 15 I'm CompTIA A+ Certified and Soon to be Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician I can tell you that you can build a desktop cheap than a iMac but what you aren't getting is that the iMac is an all in one computer there for it costs more as everything is flush and smaller and has a built in Colour Correcting Display used for TV. Also the laptops are a bargain if you compare them to an almost identical machine.

Hate to disagree with you, but the iMac is actually the only system in Apple's lineup that actually has a price tag worthy of the hardware inside.You're dead wrong about it costing more because it's an all-in-one. 1/2 of the price tag goes towards the IPS screen. Other half takes care of the hardware inside, which is absolutely slow and pathetic in every aspect.
At a price tag of $1999 for the top-tier model, it's priced well for what little power there is. You should know this.

@TheUberDeity The low end MacPro has 4 Physical cores but can handle 8 threads so 8 logical cores. USB 3.0 isn't as good as the firewire 3200 any Mac with Firewire 800 will get with one update. Any Firewire 800 device can achieve 3200 speeds with a update. Considering DDR3 at that speed would cost you £440 atleast I doubt you'd meet the MacPros spec. Face the facts in Media Macs rule, Networking Linux and Games Windows. In my view computers weren't made for games thats for the consoles Kiddo ;)

Mac can do a lot of what is in this video, though most people wouldn't have that many windows open.
Macs are also improving far quicker than pc.
But if your more of a gamer or hacker, pc over comes mac.
If you do more documenting, or want a simpler operating system, mac over comes.

I'm sure you have never used it seeing as most movies made on final cut look no different other than final cut is shit quality. Another thing. i'm sure youre a PS3 and Nvidia fanboy as well right? Most likely yes. I dont make movies either. im sure 70% of MAC owners dont make movies. I use PC for high end gaming and FL studio 9.

iv run xp, vista, and 7 each for 2 years. and well even if your not having problems at all then thats good. but see, why would i use windows that does stuff well, when i can use mac and it run wicked. iv used more computers then the bill gates himself. nothing so far runs as good or as fast as a mac, even the older macs. and not just the way it runs, the mac/OS x interface is so much faster and easier to work with then the failed attempt any windows made. thumb up if your mac does better the pc

Well i disagree about Windows Vista, for it indeed sucks balls (either do Xp or 7). But i totally agree. Mac users are farmed for their money, because apple can, and because people are stupid.
PC - closer to the professional, Mac - closer to a dumb user.
What i mean is, PC is much more customizable, while you are not given much of the control over the operating system, over various settings n stuff in a mac.

i dont like macs, but i dont think the os sucks. i find it more complicated then windows 7 and that it requires more "clicks" to get to programs then windows 7. Macs are pretty though. And apple is also partially owned by microsoft lol

I really can't believe that people think that one OS is better. Macs are really good if you use new programs on it, but if you require your machine to run some older programs then you have to use windows. So mac is faster and more secure, but it can run so much less stuff than windows.
I use Snow Leopard and I love the OS, but I can't say anything bad of Windows 7, which looks amazing and I have heard that it's even better.
I vote for mac. You might not.

I have never found someone that switched to OSX from Windows and liked it. Everyone I know that switched to a Mac went back to Windows (or Linux for some of my guru friends). They hated Windows until they got a Mac. Now that can't be away from Windows.
Personally I've never used a Mac for more then just a few minutes at a Library. I hated it but it's because I'm used to Windows. But if Mac is so good then Why are all my friends switching back to Windows after using the Mac?

So, to reiterate the FACTS here.......Macs have been, are, and always will be behind the times in technology, performance, versatility and expandability. They're purely for computer-illiterates who need their hand held. That's it. Anyone with intermediate computer knowledge won't touch a Mac after they look at the dead-endedness of OSX and the insultingly overpriced, cheap, slow hardware.
I don't live in the era of first-gen DDR3 and $90 bargain-bin video cards, and neither should you.

@080594M127 So I just had a check at your YouTube page and I see you're only 15 I'm CompTIA A+ Certified and Soon to be Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician I can tell you that you can build a desktop cheap than a iMac but what you aren't getting is that the iMac is an all in one computer there for it costs more as everything is flush and smaller and has a built in Colour Correcting Display used for TV. Also the laptops are a bargain if you compare them to an almost identical machine.

Hate to disagree with you, but the iMac is actually the only system in Apple's lineup that actually has a price tag worthy of the hardware inside.You're dead wrong about it costing more because it's an all-in-one. 1/2 of the price tag goes towards the IPS screen. Other half takes care of the hardware inside, which is absolutely slow and pathetic in every aspect.
At a price tag of $1999 for the top-tier model, it's priced well for what little power there is. You should know this.

The current-gen iMacs are cheap,slow, underpowered, and obsolete. Their monitors regularly get raped by Dell UltraSharps (yes they do) and 305T's. The only thing Macs are good for is for simple-minded computer illiterates who haven't quite grasped the reality that there's NOTHING you can do on a Mac that you can't do 10 times better on a PC. @TheUberDeity The low end MacPro has 4 Physical cores but can handle 8 threads so 8 logical cores. USB 3.0 isn't as good as the firewire 3200 any Mac with Firewire 800 will get with one update. Any Firewire 800 device can achieve 3200 speeds with a update. Considering DDR3 at that speed would cost you £440 atleast I doubt you'd meet the MacPros spec. Face the facts in Media Macs rule, Networking Linux and Games Windows. In my view computers weren't made for games thats for the consoles Kiddo ;)
