Never heard of the "Rock'n'Roll image of the Libertines", I still think both are quite talented and they managed to create a universe associated with their band. The fact that you can easily associate some songs to their real lives (even when they have nothing to do actually) makes it more powerful. Also, you can't deny that they are great lyricists and great performers. Peter is a great guitarist in my opinion for lots of reasons. Plus the melodies are great.

"WHEN YOU KNOW THAT YOUR TIME HAS GONE" Breaks your f****n heart hearing him sing that...god I'm not sure whether I've lost my faith in love but I've definitely lost my faith in music:) Personally speaking no music has ever touched me since or before like the Libs music did.. The poetry chaos and really unique and beautiful melody's they created amaze me, and all this while they were wrapped up in the most confusing and inspiring romance I've ever seen between two friends male or otherwise.
