Worst announcers in sports! After seven years I thought I would be used to them by now, but no I feel the same as I did in 2003 when they first became a duo. The Tigers have had a long list of great announcers led by the legendary Ernie Harwell then George Kell, Al Kaline, Paul Carey, they can do so much better then this. I thought Rick Rizzs and Bob Rathbun were the worse, least then the Tigers had the sense to dump them after three seasons. I have a feeling these two will never go away.

I can tolerate Mario. He's okay at play-by-play, there are many better than him but I've heard worse.

Now Rod, on the other hand, absolutely sucks at his job. I lost all respect for him when I once heard him say something to the effect of, "Back in 1984 when I played for the World Series winning Tigers..." A September call-up who had 27 at-bats that year and didn't play at all in the playoffs shouldn't be talking like he did anything for that team.
