  • Wow,mtv was new and exciting.

  • The person running the camera here was either a woman or gay. If a hetro male were on the camera, he'd have scarcely been able to pan away from those girls.

  • Very clever chord changes.

  • Wonderful! The brief Kenny Everett introduction was an added bonus.

    (wait for it).

  • Classic.

  • Superbe chanson , merci , que de bons souvenirs !!! Great song !!

  • What a fucking great song this is. I like a lot The Leagues music, but this song trancends the 80's. It could be released as it is now and it would still sound fresh. A classic, classic song.

  • I always liked the songs from Human league, their lirics are the equivalent to impresionists in painting, several that put accross, like the brushes of old impresionists mastters, show images that depicts and bring alive a state of mind, a mood of understunding, an idea, nothing obvious like in other genres were is always about love going bad. Great music, nice balanced voices, smoking hot ladies.

  • I love this song.

  • I want the 80s back!!!!

  • They are even more amazing now. Phil is still hot and sooo fit. This band is just.. i can't even explain it just visit my channel xD <3 human league

  • if it wasnt for the early 80s people like Mark ronson would have no career and we would still be listening to shit like oasis god forbid.

  • One Fucknut missed.

  • I remember this song came out when I was in kindergarten...I loved it then and my big sis recorded it off the radio on our big cassette boombox! Wow...cassettes are dead technology now!

  • "You know I'll change, if change is what you require, your every wish, your every dream, hope, desire..." Bought tix yesterday to see Human League, B-52's, The Fixx & Berlin at The Hollywood Bowl on Sept. 2, 2011...beyond thrilled...I LOVE the 80's...best music ever!!!

  • @cleanheart13 ENJOY

  • @deancook07 Thank you...I know we're going to have a Blast from the Past!

  • @cleanheart13 I'm going to the Bowl too. It looks to be a promising concert.

  • @Batenrouge That is Totally Awesome...it's going to be a memorable night at The Bowl!!!

  • God damn, Phil was hot!!!!

  • ah ha, I've been trying to find out what Human League track is partly played on my Ashes to Ashes DVD boxset & NOW i've found it, i'll sleep easy now! lol

  • powerful and commamding vocal delivery

  • This is such a feast for the eyes and ears; Phil and the girls were so aesthetically pleasing. Joanne does look VERY thin here though:( And for the comment that they look too much like "girls next door" that was their appeal; they looked like "real" people, not plasticised "celebrities". They had an "accessible" glamour, if you get me:)

  • @ralucagymnast ur so rite

  • Its 1981. Dare album B-Side, of a 45. I own. Thanks, its beautifull !!

  • does plod a bit this song... but how hot was Phil in those days???

  • @judyroodi I deeply share your thoughts..... I was 16 back then , mad about DARE album and I was full of hope for a bright future...... Look at the world now, listen to music now.... I´m going to dust my old records box and use my DARE album as a shield against depression and hopeless. 1982, was a time for every dream, hope, desire....How I miss those days.

  • @morik1

Listening to The Human League this week has been boosting my spirits. I'm nostalgic for this time that I can't return to.

  • @emmeaki I perfectly know what you mean.......Only thing I can tell you emmeaki is : Keep Feeling Fascination!

  • I must say I love the Human League, but the intro to this song is the worst they have ever done. I know I'm gonna get flamed but it really is cringeworthy comapred to path of least resistance or even Love Actiony. Just my 2p's worth:)

  • Im 18 and i love this song, grew up listenin to ma dad play the human league cd and i was offered a ticket to go see them in december so i started listening to all there songs again just lst month and i think they are brilliant, cant wait to go see them.

Best songs are Seconds, Mirron Man and Human !

  • @GaryBurrell

Please tell all your friends what this song was about. Donald Campbell's world speed record on Coniston Water. Cheers

  • @Higmatar I did that too, shame it repeats mid song....Still a cool choice!!!

  • very nice music

  • excelente tema...una buena epoca y phil oakey sale exkisito..xP

  • Just 13 at the time, those girls were the dream hope desire.

  • Goodness those were the days 10 yrs young then ! !

  • Susan and Joanne are gorgeous! The Human League rulez!

  • The dark haired bird has the longest arms I've ever seen.

  • Me encanta este tema en las mañanas me llena de energia jajajaaj!!

  • very popular that time...MORE fantastic ´80´s music on my channel!!!!!

  • EXCELENTE CLASICO

  • Sorry to say it, but for the HL it was all down hill after the pinnacle of DARE

  • Hey, perpetual61, there's no 'l' in Phil's last name. Hit #30 in Billboard.

  • time tested

  • excelente tema de este grupo , con las pocas vistas que tiene..se confirma que la masa solo oye lo que les programan en las radios o cable...

  • The Human League just signed to UK's recording label Wall of Sound! New material (songs, videos, album) expected in 2010!!!

  • Phil Oakley was so Sexy, he had the Greatest Complextion of any Man that I know of.

  • reminds me of first year at school.......all the burds loved the Human league

  • a cracking song by a cracking group, thanks for posting

  • hey Phil, i know youre still checking the comments lol HI

  • one of my favorite songs form HL..too bad it stalled at #30 on the US BIllboard Hot 100. definately thought it was headed Top10.

  • the girls are amazing! and intrinsic man, come off it...

  • This is good shit!

  • Phil was one of the more glamorous stars of the early 80s, so hot and ahead of his time.

The girls were a mess though, couldn't hardly sing or dance and had that rather ordinary chick-next-door look with a bit of gloss.

    Still, a band unique.

    Long live The Human League!

  • Thats what was good about the girls.

  • Phil Oakey if fit as! I want his babies!

  • He was too hot back then.

  • Dazed Sheep? That. sounds about right. I don't suppose I'll be bumping into you at this year's Harvard Debating Club reunion.

  • agreed it sucks

  • This song is good so piss off! And the singer is so stunning.

  • nunca se volvera a hacer musica como la de los 80

  • phil is soooo hot

  • 80s dance music had a structure, refrain, chorus, etc..

todays club music is free of structure, usually has no lyrics and is free form..

  • a topping group who were from sheffield LOL seven miles from where i am at

  • Great song. 80's muxic will never be bettered

  • 80's rule

  • a classic euroband

  • that gold halter top is so damn hot! These girls rule the 1980s, period.

  • Hey John Peel and the Human League. Can't go wrong.

  • Joanne and Suzanne do the best "oo oo ooh's" ever

  • Que buen grupo, gran canción y el cantante guau q galan!

  • I can't wait we are going to see them 8/5/2008 in Los Angeles.

  • i have my dad to thank for introducing me to this AWSOME BAND! my friends think im wierd as i like electronica and new romantic stuff like this at the same time as like the heaviest of death metal

  • Hello Ethel & Bonnie

  • But it's fun!

  • sounds like right now!! youngsters these days are the most musicaly illiterate as you put it for ages - they have absolutely no appreciation for MUSIC, only singing and who can sing over manufactured beats - very few very big artists have a band anymore - they need only look like rhihanna and they can simply sing over the tune played through speakers - easy money for cowell etc...

  • its sounds like now -get your self a hearing aid.

  • Sounds like right now!!! That's the point - it was almost thirty years ago! They were massively ahead of their time! As Phil once said - "One day all music will be made like this - and it is!" They did then, and still do whenever possible, play 'live' even on TV shows (except on stuff like TOTP), and although they do have some parts on sequencer all the musicians play their bit. I saw them live last month along with ABC and Heaven 17 - a great night.

  • Dreadful?. What ARE you on about?. The 80s produced far far better music than the crap we have to put up with today. It was more memorable, more fun, It was great.

  • @flare Spot on my friend - could not agree more

  • @flares Thumbs up. Todays music is unoriginal, uninspiring and most of all CRAP!!!!!

  • @flares couldn't agree more!

FOR THE RETURN OF THE 80'S MUSIC!

  • @flares Exactly but when you may be even weren't born how can you know something about It? Go listen gaga, beieber and all those garbage-"music". The 80's were good, I'd say from the 80's till '94 It was ok, after that you had only garbage.

  • @SSTK1982 What are you trying to say. Are you trying to say I wasn't born or that I don't remember the 80s. I remember the 80s very well thanks. As for Bieber, I wouldn't listen to him if he was the last singer on the planet.

  • @flares That's the spirit ;-)

  • @SSTK1982 You still haven't answered my question. In your original message you told me "go listen gaga, beiber". Why did you say that?.

  • @badharenight You are joking. When it comes to 'dreadful decades' for music try looking at the 90s and the 00's.

  • @flares i think the 90's were ok but sorry 00's have no vision

  • @sbsteven56 you are absolutely right

  • Phil's makeup is more natural here and it still looks terrific

  • True. Basically he is a very good looking guy, and what a voice! No one sings like he does.

  • Drums are clearly recorded traditionally live in studio, I hear typical little mistakes which drum machines never does (at least these days).

  • @MargusKiistheCritic No they were definitely still using the Linn Drum machine here.

  • John Peel introducing...

  • John BLOODY Peel introducing! I could not believe it at first!

  • I like!

  • explosive , great, that makes dance

  • Great band, for about 5 years they allways seemed to have a song in the top 40...Well done.

  • fantastic
