No, don't buy the Complete Saga! Not because of the changes or whatever, but the packaging sucks! It looks like you can scratch the discs easily. I'd say get the 2 separate Trilogy Bluray sets unless you really want those bonus features. ;)
I still like the original films the best, without the digital additions. You might be the hottest Star Wars nerd EVER, not that you need to hear that.....very cute.
Lpti Nek and Yub Nub were TERRIBLE!!! George made the movie better. Jedi Rocks was great... it adds spunk, I will admit the new NOOOOO is bad, i think instead of adding NOOOOOs George should change the one in episode III
Great song!! I've shared it with all my friends.... And for those who didn't liked it remember that she is only exposing her point of view and has been extremely creative, so, even if you don't share her opinions, don't be so mean and admit that she deserves to have pressed the "Like" button...
I'm thinking the haters have to step back a bit and see this for what it is: a fangirl having some fun. I think we can safely presume that jenniferlanda didn't intend this to be the first video on the road to a new career as a recording artist.
Back to Star Wars... does anyone one who has seen A New Hope on blu-ray agree that Ben's Krayt dragon roar sounded like Rip Taylor?
Jennifer, I think what Lucas is doing to the films is a complete atrocity. I'm not here to debate that, though, merely to question the legitimacy of a statement made in this video. In your video, you accuse those who feel the way I do of being hypocrites; you say you'd like to see us do better. I don't "think I can do better." I also shouldn't have to; I'm allowed to dislike a movie even though I'm not a film maker.
dont cramp on to your youth that much. nobody wants to see a 39 year old dressed like a 16year old. and your flow is horriffic, your schemes are weak. and your content,... hmz.
I'll ignore your petty personal comments, and admit that you do make a valid point; I'm in no position to say whether or not this girl is a fan of Star Wars. She may be a far more dedicated fan than myself, and I honestly apologize for jumping to conclusions.
The fact remains, though, that this is a really, really terribly written song, and that every rhyme is forced and that the meter is extremely awkward.
Singing wasn't good and the background music sounded like it came straight out of the Apple prerecorded sound effects that people overuse from iMovie.
@iamziltoid Have you looked in the mirror? Your "where's my chippy" video certainly doesn't have any models featured in it. You really have no room to talk dude.
@holmze dont talk to me you fuckin nerd. my videos arent based on "models". their based on content. and i just thought her content sucks, productions high. but a turd is still a turd. so her video must rely on her looks, which to me, shes a little old for that position. gross. fuckin desperate prick. ;)
Thumbs up if you agree that this girl is a terrible musician and a fake "fangirl"; this is an awful song, and this chick is trying to capitalize on the modern obsession with "geek girls" and trying to Oliva Munn herself to fame.
It's insulting to real fans. We're not going to think you're amazing just because you like Star Wars and also happen to have a vagina. You can't rap, you can't rhyme, and you're an embarrassment.
@NeverSayCandlejack I just looked at your page, and your last four comments on videos have been mean and nasty. You strike me as an angry little person, who uses youtube as an outlet to vent your frustrations about your sucky life.
Spread your hate elsewhere, because Jeni has been making awesome, entertaining videos about her love for Star Wars for the past year plus. And most of us visit her because we're big fans. Please go away.
@KingCoffeeduck Yeah dude, the video of you playing a video game with a White Stripe's song slapped on it was a real quality production... Not. Jeni's video's are funny, creative, and infinitely more entertaining than the simpleton crap you have posted on your page. Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
I can do better than what george is doing now. Ill just upload the originals lol there.. better. Nothing needed to be fixed... he should have left it alone... Even you said in the beginning of your song that you didn't like the changes to the first "remaster".

@dpattiris Translation: Don't pay attention to any criticism of you, everything you do is gold, blah blah blah.
No. This video sucks. Parody raps nearly always suck. Star Wars super-fandom is a dead horse that continues to be beaten. And wow, big shocker, it's a pretty girl who makes videos without pants on. You're clearly a unique talent that will really be going somewhere.
@dpattiris: You are absolutely right. Thank you for your wise words! I don't think Master Yoda could've said it any better. Although, he would have reversed the words which might have made it tougher to understand. ;-)
George Lucas is an artist?? As you say, "artists create." What has Lucas "created" since Raiders in 1981? Crap Star Wars alterations and a 122 min. rape scene.
Week flow. Lyrics were jumbled up at some parts which made it sound like ass. I don't know how you got featured on Geekologie, but i guess i need to start checking out different websites now.

"A special effect is a tool for telling a story. A special effect without a story is just boring." - George Lucas, mid 1980s.

nteresting vid. The issue isn't that he's changing things. He can change all he wants. The issue is that he refuses to release the original theatrical editions alongside these "special editions." Look at the remastered Star Trek episodes, E.T., the Alien Anthology, or Blade Runner. They all released with the original versions alongside the altered versions and there was NO uproar.
@tobar1p: I hear you. Trust me, if they released the original theatrical editions on Blu-ray I'd buy them. Actually, in 2006 they did release the original unaltered trilogy (Eps. 4-6). They were considered to be "bonus" material if you bought the Special Editions box set. Hey, I'm still waiting for a Blu-ray release of The Holiday Special!
@jenniferlanda That 2006 release was a joke. They used non-anamorphic laserdisc masters from 1993. Picture quality was terrible and riddled with DVNR and aliasing issues. They deserve a heck of a lot better than that.
@jenniferlanda tobar1p is right, the 2006 bonus discs look like shit. I don't care that he makes changes (although most of the changes are just ridiculous), but I'm all about film preservation, especially with a set of films this historically and culturally significant. @travisreininger All that shows is that Spielberg isn't a spiteful prick like Lucas and at least has the humility to admit that the fans also deserve respect, instead of privately tinkering away and fucking up the movies. If that hadn't leaked and was later acknowledge in a press release, Lucas would have sold the thing without telling anyone. Lot of pissed off fans on launch day.
@Strand0410 You're absolutely right. However, for the people that have bought it already, I'm not sure they care about the changes of this release, because it's already gone through a series of edits in the last 15 years. My conclusion is either people a) don't know any better and/or b) are really apathetic when it comes to how George Lucas has altered these movies. The sad thing too is even the CGI added in 1997 is already outdated and looks pretty bad IMO.

Great work on the editing. The transitions between the different settings were seamless, and the words always matched your mouth, which I imagine was the hardest part.
Couldn't have put it better myself, especially at the end. I've been through all the changes too but the blu-ray looks outstanding. I miss the yub nub song and all that but watching A New Hope on a big flat screen in HD feels like a new movie. Love it.
