Wow.... A lot of people blasting the fact that Indycars race on ovals. Idiots.

Just as many Drivers have died on Road courses compared to Ovals. Maybe we should just dumb the sport down to little 50 cc go-karts and make the drivers wear bubble-wrap! Accidents happen. I've seen Paul Dana,Greg Moore and now Dan Wheldon lose their lives. It's saddening but Las Vegas has Shorter Straights and steeper Banking than Indy... Should we cancel the500 Next Year???? RIP Dan Wheldon,may we learn from this.

Dan gave an interview in the pre-race show and he was the in-race reporter. Just 5 minutes before his fatal crash he got interviewed by abc and everybody could hear his voice. And at the end of the pre-race interview the reporter mentionned that Wheldon got a roulette on his helmet and that he's ready to roll the dice. Sad things if you're sitting here now, knowing what would happen 20 minutes after that interview. Sad. RIP Dan

@JMiguelmartins That makes it all the more eerie. Furthermore, his was the on-board camera they showed just as the crash was starting in front of him. The live cameras cut away to a live shot. I'm glad they did not stay on board with him, no one needs to see that.
