  • OMG!! wtf did i just look at? This scared the shit out of me to know theres people who can do this.....XD

  • Impressive stuff. Would certainly work in most fights where all that's thrown and John Wayne style punches or face-first charges.

  • I trained with this instructor for a short time in Medford Oregon. You dont just worry about his strikes because his blocks hurt just as much when sparring. He has a great class and if you just study his basics that will help you survive most confrontations. Thanks Dr.

  • he hits him so fast that it looks like hes not even hitting him

  • gee nice one! yeah i'm totally lovin it great one wolverine

  • lmao I feel bad for that guy.

  • I remember my kenpo instructor hiting me pretty hard for demonsrations for class. In the beginning I hated it.Lol. After awhile I got used to it. Loved it though, want to go back!

  • i wanna get paid to hit someones face and explain how I'm doing it

  • poor kid

  • what a champ...

  • I feel so bad for the kid being used for the demonstration. He's got balls.

  • Great video!! I met Doc in Orlando in 2000!! First time I ever heard of energy medicine was from him. Hey Doc, I still owe you dinner!! lol

  • very nice! much respect to this man

bruce lee was clocked at a hit being around 5/100 of a second. which is 1/20 of a second. where this man did 16 hits in 1 second = 1/16 so theres always room for improvement it just goes to show us it takes dedication

plus i think some wing tsun men can hit faster than 1/20 of a second! amazing

  • Same here, much respect to any man that's dedicated much if not all of his life to the arts. He stresses speed with accuracy, very necessary animal for fighting success. Love what he does. I'd like to study kenpo with a good solid teacher one day.

  • lol look at the guys face flinch

  • lol not only informative but gave me a good number of laughs. loved it cuts to him wearing head gear and falling down right before it cuts. haha absolutely great video.

  • straight angle? lol.

  • that guy is getting a beating. i cant belive he is still standing lol

  • i'm so glad i have been blessed with the opportunity to master and teach these things to my children! :) R.I.P. Mr. Ed Parker

  • That guy takes a friggin beating... lol. this John guy is so fast, but i was more amazed the other guy was willing to do this.

  • Even at that speed a true master can control the power of his punches.

  • Great video!

  • It takes guts to be a punching bad LOL

  • guts?....more like Stupity LOL...

  • Excellent

  • Oh sweet mother of God, I feel so sorry for the punching bag with mutton chops.

  • thats pretty cool

  • I know chops--Call him Wolverine--- good friend of mine and he can kick ass. as for the Doc, he is pretty bad ass

  • Amazing

  • that guy geting beat must get payed alot

  • the UFC needs this man

  • it would be a half a second knockout

  • 1:37 lol

  • No doubt. Dr. La Tourrette is a speed master of the hands of Kenpo.

  • Who is this guy, he is awesome!!!!

  • I'm an Aikido guy before all else but I need an offensive art; do you think these arts would compliment each other?

  • I would say so. Kenpo transfers energy.

  • yes, i do kenpo, hapkido, and judo and they mix very well

  • I give that guy mad props for that.....haha he stuck with it after getting knocked out at least twice.

  • he's beatin da shyt outta ol boi!!! lmao!!

  • i would hate to be the practice target

  • this video is hilarious, he knocks the other guy out about ten times hahaha. that being said he is insanely fast, and a great martial artist.

  • um...wow! That is amazing MUCH MUCH respect to the instructor AND the dudes gettin smacked around. 2:30 is kinda funny, no dis

  • master john La is fast

  • ok, my only input is that my hat is off to the guy that had to take the hits lol

  • Is this a system that would easy/practical/good to learn even if I'm in my late 30's?

I'm always looking for a way to improve myself in every facet of martial arts...

  • You know rexcurtis, I can relate to what you're saying. I have been training with the Doc for four years now and I'm still discovering the things I've learned. Last night I was at a bar and someone threw a punch at me and before I knew it I'd blocked it and used that rotational energy to hit him three more times. He just held his mouth and nose and backed up in awe. And I'm one of the nice people at the Dojo!

  • Problem Is:

by the time the Cops arrive, they will Arrest YOU

    because You Prevailed.

Do What You Have to Do, then GET GONE !

  • I agree with rexcurtis. I've trained with Dr. La Tourrette and he has a unique style of being able to teach a bunch of small steps and put them together for maximum efficiency. I have made a lot of money training with Doc. Unfortunately he is very picky about who he trains. You have to really work to get on this man's schedule. He doesn't work with beginners.

  • I've actually trained with Doc. This man is amazing. The best trainer on the planet in this and in Peak Performance Training. I've made a lot of money using his techniques

  • Wow this guy rocks. You should see him in real life. Unbelievable. This man has got to be one of the best trainers on the planet.

  • I have been training with Dr. La Tourrette for 16 years. This man is a genius at breaking things down into small easily learned steps. Doc is years ahead of any trainer on this planet.

  • correct body alignment and such allows him to hit with more power than most 20 something year olds could from brute muscular strength without having to break a sweat at 67 years old! If you didn't see it or experience it you wouldn't believe it. The man is phenomenal!

  • 67 ??? holy crap !!! Hope i can hold my own at 67. This guy is so very impressive !!

  • Notice the way he is in midstep while striking. That allows him to use the entire mass of his body coming forward in the strikes via gravity as every step is a controlled fall. Note the excellent alignment of his hip, shoulders, elbows and wrists along with the subtle rotations both horizontally (common knowledge) and vertically that all translate to body mass transfer and rotational inertia.

  • What no one seems to notice when watching these videos is just how powerful these strikes are.

  • Even after knowing Doc 20 years his speed still impresses me.

  • Oh man! I had my share of bruises from Doc when I trained with him back in the late 80's early 90's.

  • fuck.. the understudy took a fuckin punishment! id hate to be a student of LaTourrete and piss him off.. massive amount of controll here. unstopable!

  • I am a student of the Dr. John La Tourrette and I LOVE it. You get knocked out, bruised, stunned, chocked out, kicked in the head and thrown to the ground...Who wouldn't like REAL training! He's a Great Man!

  • I think this guy is a real nerve cavity King and would put most grand masters to shame. He's a high ranked guy that can actually do something. I love seeing quality speed and dim mak here. What I find amazing is how he can really knock out that guy and not hurt him. You'd think there would be brain damage. Thank you.

  • Nice. This guy has incredible economy of motion.

  • Damn thats some speed!!! thanks for the training vids keep them coming!

  • I cannot believe the death zone strikes that this man can use at that speed. It's damn scary. I wished I lived close to him so I could train with him. Manuel

  • wow, that's crazy! and you know he's got power behind those strikes too cause the guys he's hitting keeps getting dropped lol.

  • wow thats some bad ass shit

  • thats a bad mother fucker!

  • you imagine when he does a move like that to a hot chick and suddenly she has no more underwear LOL! Then another fast move and DAM How did it got in! LOLOl WTF HAXX!!

  • hahahahahahaahhahahahahah

  • holy crap, i would hate to be that guy he was practicing on. jeez!

  • i like it

  • lol the second clip he wore a helmet

  • poor dude

  • holy shit that guy is fast, you'd never know it by looking at him but jesus christ he would tear anyone a new asshole in a matter of a second, i'm gonna study this vid and try to learn something new, i wish this guy taught in my area :(

  • 3:20 to 3:30 is absolutely hilarious! he just completely drops him!

i would honestly be very very honored to be trained by him. this guy is extremely good and deangerous but i doubt because i dont even have the basic fighitng skills none-the-less the selfdefence concept down. i dont even kno the basics yet and him considering this would mean automatically him saying "no i wont train you" but thats ok i have a long way to go in this area.

  • Very Nice. Its nice to see a guy thats not 20 years old have that speed and power and knowledge.

  • Haaaa Haaa damn!!That poor dude.Man he diced that fool up,he spent more tim eon the floor than standing up.Btw this dude would kill kimbo.

  • the guy is getting it really hard and i don't think he is paid ahahahahhahahahhahahahahahhahaha

  • ok after you bust the 1st 2nd and third stages of that move on ANY1 i doubt theyd still be standing!!! and its like 8 stages long LOL

  • lol poor guy getting hit

  • I miss his advanced fighting classes. It wasnt "sparring' but real full contact fighting with pads on the old, hard carpeted floor. I can't even count how many times I got thrown into or bounced off those old yellow walls! LOL

  • I actually trained under Dr. La Tourrette in high school in that very same dojo. Watching a display like that is nowhere near as incredible as learning how to do it. I'm nowhere near as fast as sensei, but just learning the technique is an experience.

  • This is the first time I've seen Dr. La Tourrete in action (on video) wow... "Very nice" I'd love to see some videos with multiple attackers, do you have that on your DVD?

Great video John. All I can say is more... more... more!

  • freekin 16 hits per second DAMN

  • I'd like to see a kenpo master work a wooden dummy.

  • Man, I still love watching this stuff! It never gets old.

Training with this stuff like is like training with an ancient master. But it's modern day, unbelievable!

  • LMFAO hes the test dummie

  • OMFG LOL! when he hits him and then the next scene he has ahtta black helm on ahaha

  • After you watch this video, think about me since I am lucky enough to be able to take trainings from this speed master that is not part of his martial arts training. He is as fast with his mind as his hands are.

  • Great video, with real knowledge. I have been in many street fights, and I have real training from the guy that is now training the Navy Seals and High Tier government and I have to say this looks good.

Also: That poor bastard getting hit! LOL I remember some of those hits! You need to give that poor bastard a break (LOL) you can't take to many of those hits without creating some permanent damage.

  • amazing style, completely different concepts than my own, can someone tell me a little bit about this style?

  • There's more real stuff on this five minute free video than most video courses you'd pay real $ for. Don't believe me, get up (like I did) and do what he does, step by step (go easy on your buddy!!!) then write it all down. Got it? If you almost get it, don't worry, there is help available.

  • poor guy lol but smart movez

  • Dr. John La Tourrette is amazing, his expereince and speed are so advanced that you can't see all the hits in this video because the internet is too slow. Check out the DVD and any other ones you can get a hold of, you will be even more impressed.

  • Man this stuff is amazing. I love the distancing and bridging concepts, it's like knocking pool balls around, always setting up the next shot. What's funny is I can't even see all the inbetween excelerator strikes on this internet version. You guys should see the dvd!

  • That was amazing hand speed, and with such control to sensetive targets. Something I will have to strive for.

  • I don't know what was more fun, watching the students eyes go numb, watching the student pop his jaw back into place after the KO, watching the wall shake after the poor guy got knocked into it or closing my eyes and hearing the sounds of flesh getting hit. Great video, give me more!

    TK

  • That was Fast! I couldn't even see some of the hits. Are these drills written out anywhere so I can learn them?

  • Holy crap that was fast, I've heard alot about you. But that really set things into perspective.

  • Man. Poor Student.

  • Nice video...enjoyed it!

    Carl from Atlanta

  • Dr. John your speed is absolutely amazing and one day i wish i will be able to hit as fast as you in my martial arts lige. Great Video.

  • Dr. LaTourrette your speed amazes me and it is what i wish i will accomplish in my life of martial arts. Great video.
