Thank you, Maria, for your interview of this American Icon. He tells it like it is; the wars we are now waging were uncalled for. He dislikes Bush Jr. He was the worst president the US has ever had. Anyway, regardless of what some people might say, Gore Vidal is an icon and a true American.
America is a culture of violence, not by nature but conditioning by media to desensatizing the masses. When people are conditioned for violence it will permeate through to the deepest levels of society and divide us making us afraid and the elites will conquor the common people. This country needs a miracle.
Brilliant! So true. If a bomb was set off in downtown N.Y,killing 3 people, every dem. & rep. candidate running for Pres. would try to further erode our constitution. But 33 students die in Vir. Tech, not ONE thinks its serous enough for gun reform. ONLY IN AMERICA!
No tragedy is solely personal, all*ways are meant to profit from the L.esson, O.pportunity, V.ariety, and E.volution . . . offered by those who's sacrifice is given.
Americans do have a penchant for violence especially with their autos. Over 400 are killed per day and no one seems to take notice!

The brutal honesty of Gore Vidal does show Maria Hinojosa as a blind patriot

Wow! He reminds me of Kurt Vonnegut in his brutal honesty. I'm addicted to Gore Vidal now and have been watching everything with him on YouTube.

Vidal is such a national treasure. You hardly hear voices like Vidal's in the "liberal" media.

I love Vidal's GW impression "I'm a wartime president, I'm a wartime president"

Iconoclasts are mean!

Gore Vidal is NOT a Iconoclast. Maria Hinojosa introduced him as a iconoclast. That doesn't make it so just because one woman says so.
Think about it.

Well done Gore Vidal! If only more Americans had his intellectual and moral strength. The America we know now is run by criminals.
