btw.. to all you people, there is an easier way to open ps3 plastic coverings. if you look about 3/4 of the way down there is multiple ps3 logos placed on a strip which goes all the way around the box. On that strip there is a little piece that hands off. grab its and pull, the strip comes off leaving 1/4 of the bottom half of plastic covering and the other 3/4. Less mess and easier xD

Well yeah!! all your personal data should be still on your HDD unless something real bad happened, And i think that trophies are saved by sony as well. And when you put your HDD in to your uncles PS3, 'BACK-UP' all the data on your HDD to a data stick or portable HDD, Because when you send your PS3 to get fixed, You might not get back the same PS3 and HDD so you can just restore your data back on the new PS3.
