@yokoprinc No... 2 years... and when u get the E74 Error your warranty is 3 years :P When its repaired u get another 1 year warranty (if u get the E74 again, u have a 2 year warranty :D)

simple way to not void your warranty get your moms hair dryer and juast blow it on the warranty sticker then gently peel it of with some tweesers and then you can open your xbox and if u break it even more then just put the warranty sticker back on and send it to micrsoft
i think mine is too..... to find out (this is what i did) take out the AV cable (the 1 that connects to the tv) and start ur Xbox. if it doesnt have the RED RING OF DEATH its the AV cable. if it still does it has a system error. but still for both of them contact xbox because if it is the AV cable it could be the thing it connects to in the xbox. but mine had the same thing just contact 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and they will help you, they will send u a label that gives u free shipping and fix it

You can find people who repair the red ring of death problems on ebay. Just type in "xbox 360 repair services" and look for whichever you think is the best one. I just got the E 74 error as well and, I think that's what I'm gonna do. One guy was charging $19.99 plus shipping another person is $45 w/ free shipping.
seriously, Im 12 and i fixed my xbox from E74 few months ago, U do have 2 take it apart. the E74 is a GPU chip prob caused by the 2 X-clamps vibrating when overheating dislodges the chip. So all you have 2 do is take it apart, Clean the chip, clean the dust in the xbox, then when u put it bak 2gether, dnt put bak the X-clamps, SIMPLE :D
then again, I'm 13, and i sound like and IT expert (or so people around me say... I actually talked to a former IT girl, and she was stupified by my Linux-speak. LOL ^_^

i have a gaming computer i built myself, ps3 and a 360 and i have to say i kinda like working on my xbox gives me something to do kinda like and old car, you do little projects on it and get it running. ive done just about all the cooling and heatsink mods there are for the xbox minus liquid cooling lol only now it hasnt broke down in awile. although i know that there are a ton of other 360 gamers that dont have the know how to work on there stuff and just expect it to work which is very true.

i still have my old nes conlsole and it works just as good today as it did when i first bought it,i get a 360 an it lasted 7 months,thats messed up bill gates should be sent to prison for hustling us all ,an see how he likes getting red rings lmao dont drop the soap bill.

You can find people who repair the red ring of death problems on ebay. Just type in "xbox 360 repair services" and look for whichever you think is the best one. I just got the E 74 error as well and, I think that's what I'm gonna do. One guy was charging $19.99 plus shipping another person is $45 w/ free shipping.

seriously, Im 12 and i fixed my xbox from E74 few months ago, U do have 2 take it apart. the E74 is a GPU chip prob caused by the 2 X-clamps vibrating when overheating dislodges the chip. So all you have 2 do is take it apart, Clean the chip, clean the dust in the xbox, then when u put it bak 2gether, dnt put bak the X-clamps, SIMPLE :D

hey man, it makes a diffrence if my xbox has hdmi or not? i have already clean both chips and to finish i only have to put thermal compund.. im worried that because my xbox is hdmi it wont work

i have a gaming computer i built myself, ps3 and a 360 and i have to say i kinda like working on my xbox gives me something to do kinda like and old car, you do little projects on it and get it running. ive done just about all the cooling and heatsink mods there are for the xbox minus liquid cooling lol only now it hasnt broke down in awile. although i know that there are a ton of other 360 gamers that dont have the know how to work on there stuff and just expect it to work which is very true.
