Save the Bluefin tuna from imminent extinction! Save all marine life! We cannot blame anyone but ourselves the consumers. Eat less seafood or only Buy seafood with a MCS label. We are overexploiting our ocean's precious resources.. sign the petition for marine reserves on the greenpeace website! sorry if I offended you, but fish stocks all around the world are declining.Everyone can change the world ,including YOU! Ahi refers to two species, bigeye tuna (Thunnus obesus) and yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares). In Hawaii, shibi is another name for yellowfin tuna. The yellowfin gains its name because the soft dorsal and anal fins and finlets are bright yellow in color. The dorsal and anal fins lengthen with age. Yellowfin range from the ocean surface to depths below 100 fathoms.

kudos to the japanese for the repect they give to the fish. i fish off southern california and our deckies waste way too much when they filet, imho

It's such a shame that this amazing resource, one of the most nutritious foods on the planet is now contaminated with toxins. I can't help but think that in watching this. The part about not wasting doesn't surprise me because it's a longstanding part of their tradition to catch tuna, a bit like bison for native americans.

the japanese are notorious for not wasting any part of the animal, they eat everything, catfood tuna if you read the label is all from american shores.

The tuna in cat food is bonita tuna, which is not a true tuna. It makes most mammals including humans sick. Cats are one of the few mammals that can eat it.

Wow, this is a real treat. That is some amazing pieces of tuna. The guys working there seem pretty oblivious to the cameras or tourist. I guess that place is world famous. I've gotta go there.
