  • it looks like the skier has C4 strapped to his chest

  • I wonder when this gets incorporated into a skiing simulatior for PC:D:D:D

  • Amazing!

  • Not sure if the guyz testing that r awere of the radio frequency it may interfere with there body (ie check for tests on goole).

I would never have so many elc instruments on me...with a gpd on my head :-/

Good for business (heu... for science) I guess

  • Cool stuff. I wonder what would happen to all that equipment if the skier fell down the slope :P

  • Hi, it is really interesting to hear all your comments. I never guessed there would be so much interest in my research. If you want more inforation see the New Scientist online mag. Or there are several home made videos I have put up.

    Thanks,

  • Hopefully this technology translates into better, more realistic animation in computer games soon! Or, better yet, a commercial version for wearing at home, to animate avatars in real time! It would make the Wiimote look like an Atari paddle.

  • this could really revolutionize the way we learn martial arts , ever thought of that???

  • With more feedback, that might work! Record the motions of an expert, hook yourself up, and have the sensors vibrate slightly or something to indicate when your own limbs are within that same range of motion. Otherwise, you might as well watch real live footage of a martial artist and imitate that; a simplified computer model would only give you less information.

  • Animated avatars? So like, people could see me masturbating and eating doritoes as I'm hunched over my dirty keyboard? No thanks.

  • cool

  • I saw something on Google the other day I couldn't believe. I entered a destination on Google Maps and got a "down on the street - 360 degree" view of the address. I could walk down the street and again look around in 360. Spooky... Try it yourself on a destination in NYC - don't know if it's everywhere yet - probably not. Still...

  • can you give me the adress used?

  • 19-40 Hazen Street, New York City - click on where it says street view after you get the map

  • holy crap that was cool

  • it's like that old ski game on pc. only cooler
