  • The people of Joseon should have made really large rockets with rudimentary compass and spinning mass gyros inside. With multiple Bigyeog Jincheonroes on the top.

  • To ALL the comments .. positive and negative :) I'm Chinese, my wife is Korean ... we agree that history is often muddled and things get confused when passed down verbally and in written form; so let's just watch this AWESOME video :D *peace*

  • Since alot of you chinese people are saying that China invented everything in East Asia, how come there isn't any records of the turtleship, or the japanese musket, or napalm. Just sayin because those things were made by other asian cultures. Just deal with the fact that inventions can be made from different places. It really doesn't matter how cool your people were 1,000 years ago

  • @PaperMoneyShow agree. you also have to know history have to be pass down. its like whats the point of learning history in school, go up to your teacher and just say i dont want to learn history.

china was the first to use rocket arrow against the mongol way back then.

  • The most funny thing is that "hwa" means flower or fire and a "cha" is a car or a cart; so "Hwacha either means Fire Cart or Flower Cart... Trust me I'm Korean lol

  • @dragomancer123 화차 (火車) 병신아.. -_- 무슨 꽃이야... 단어를 해석할때는 한문단어면 뜻풀이를 해야지 ㅡㅡ

  • to all people reading this, dont go to pages 7+. its full of hypocritical bullcrap by people who dont know anything

  • Wanna know why this fight keeps going on? It's because people keep commenting on the fact that there's a fight.

  • haha wow, this is the first chinese vs korean internet arguement i have ever seen XD

    however, no one cares....

  • me guess they did something wrong in setup and made the angle just 1 degree from the supposed shooting angle

  • PROUD to be a korean. But guys. put an end to this chinese vs korean fight shit what are u 5 year olds.? CHINESE invented black powder and had something similar to this before. KOREANS just made a better and more effective version of the weapon. In the end, we are ALL asians and Human beings so stop the hating and spread love!

  • They should make a really big hwacha and like 120 foam soiders.

  • Asia has always had more advanced weaponry than most other peoples in history..

  • This weapon would scare the shit out of me! I'm sure that, if they'd hit the army, said army would've been completely destroyed.

  • This would be awesome to have for the 4th of July with some big bottle rockets.

  • @Corrderio and not to mention less pollution too

  • I think Grant has built up an immense reservoir of pride which he is incredibly happy to show off during this episode

  • I want one of this for July 4th... fill it up with fire works... BAM BAM BAM X100

  • RPA?XD rocket propelled arrows lol btw armies of old either attack in a disorganized mass or in formations. depends which sides...

  • what episode

  • i think when soldiers see a hwacha firing they will most like disperse and spread out...but they don't know that hwacha's fire is spread out and some shoot farther range which make it likely to hit the enemy more.

  • Cool weapon but I think it was used more to distract/scare/break apart the enemy army than to damage them.

  • @Balendula well to be sure. It also attack the Food Storages and burned houses and camps. It also killed enemy. And thats how Manchus and Mongolians moved more North wards and thats how Joseon got its land.

  • @GodsCommand

I've been to China once before, and have many Chinese friends. Not only are they smart, respectable, and noble, but they're just good guys as a whole.

You're not a very good example of the Chinese population, you racist faggot. Get your facts straight. I think the shitty Shanghai air must have gotten to your empty little head.

  • I made a hwacha in woodshop, thinking about launching tons of model rockets...........

  • they should have done this at night to see the rocket's trajectory

  • FINALLY SOMETHING POSITIVE ABOUT KOREANS IN POPULAR AMERICAN TV SHOW!!! THIS IS COOL!!! NOW I'M ABSOLUTELY WANTING TO WATCH MORE MYTHBUSTERS!!!!!!!!!

  • 1/ it took 5 minutes to launch...which means they would have been attacked...

2/ the arrows completely missed.. hence.. they die anyway LOL

  • @V3GAdigi1 uhmm read history, through this invention it has lead to a great victory of 3400 soldiers with 40 hwachas against an army of 30000

  • @uhihyigtuuoj okay great... so what great battle was this? name and date please? :)

  • @V3GAdigi1 Battle of Haengju, in the Imjin Wars (1592-1598)

  • @uhihyigtuuoj that was a naval battle darlin.. fought on water.... nice try.. google again. :)

  • @V3GAdigi1 yeah...exactly. In the naval battle, Battle of Haengu, Hwachas were also used in panokseons under the navy of Admiral Yi Sun-sin to attack Japanese ships from a distance.

    You should read carefully.

    ;)

  • @uhihyigtuuoj ya.. Put one of those on a ship and it sinks. Hope that helps you win a war. LOL you should learn to read period LOL or try math. LOL

  • @uhihyigtuuoj

Not to mention yi-sun Had Turtle ships, the first iron clad ships in history.

Shame no one Wanted to iron up ships again till the mid 19th century.

  • This type of situation really frustrates me. I have a habit of looking at the comments on a video (if there are any) to see what other people think about the video. Really, I'm Korean myself, and I recognize that a part of Korean history contains a time period when Korea was part of Japan, and I also know that Korea was once a 'brother' country of China. But that's not what's important here. Sure, history is important, but it doesn't have much to do with this experiment. So please, stop arguing.

  • wow... 500 arrows and not a single wounded styrofoam soldier...

  • Thats korean technology 500 years ago bitches

  • HWACHAAAAAAAAAA!

  • @septentrionale Man. I wanted to say that. ^_^ Awesome anywho.

  • Great engineering!

  • Aw, they couldn't aim it right. I hate them now.

  • OH MY FUCKING SUPERIORITY COMPLEX WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE; It's conversations between Koreans and Chinese people and everyone talking shit about each other in a meaningful experiment done by these guys. They confirmed that it worked. No one cares who's country is bigger and no one cares about who started what. No one is claiming to have invented swords (or are they?) and I don't see anyone talking shit about who created bows and arrows first. It's another modernization of an old weapon. /rant

  • This is exactly what happens in minecraft with dispensers and a cake.

  • i'm chinese and too be honest, i don't see why the fuck we're having a conversation about korea vs china on a mythbusters video. we've got our problems, korea has its own, trying to show who's got the bigger patriotic penis is an absolute waste of energy and time since noone is going to change their mind.

why can't you guys just watch this vid and appreciate one of the most awesome recreations on mythbusters?

  • @Joker365 meh i havent heard anything between Korean and china i always heard of japan vrs korea in the imjin war. lolz INACURACY

  • @ImCanadianEhh well, according to some people here, it's still going lol

  • @Joker365 r u in china? cause i heard of rumours of protest to your government since egypt and all those other counties are protesting theirs so they can have democracy

  • @ImCanadianEhh nah i'm chinese but born and bred in australia. And to be honest i don't think the protests in china are gonna do much. the government isn't gonna budge and most of the chinese people don't really give a shit. they're focused on more immediate problems like inflation, rising house and food prices.

  • @Joker365 couldn't agree more.

  • I think that Hwacha is one of the great firearms, right? But do you really think it was "MADE IN CHINA"???

  • Hwacha!

  • as a korean, i gotta admit.. koreans had crazy history back then.. weapons like this, and great generals that took out so many enemies.. korea's history is as much complicated and great as chinese were. BUT

ever since korea was dominated by japs for some years, they began losing control, and till now, Korea has lost the point of view of War, or Pride ( only koreans will understand what im talking about ) .

Now days, all We ( koreans) care about is fking up North Koreans.

  • @dkdnTLqkf wtf?? you claimed korean ancient history and generals were comparable to those of china? were you frickin telling jokes? go back and study history you ignorant kid!!!!!!!

  • @GodsCommand sadly, u hate koreans. sadly, ur chinese and hate koreans.

but u know whats more sad?

china has one of the highest population and korea is one of the smallest country.

but look, Korea lives better then chinese do.

what am i saying? chinese were dumb, / lazy / retarded enough they didnt use their population as an extreme advantage to out power US. while chinese starved and live poorly, koreans are now living wealthy and is still improving

  • @dkdnTLqkf take a look at your history you would know who the real dumb, lazy and retarded people, you people copied every single thing from china since you first came out from the caves, even now you northern brothers are still under slavery of the kim emperor.China is diversed economically from region to region, every country has rich and poor, what so special about that? take care of your northern bros first you idiotic southern gooky aka the slaves of USA

  • @GodsCommand so sad to see this mentally fucktarded kid raging T_T

korean and chinese has same ancestors. or to say, we are all mongols when it began.

    surprising? no . a fact.

u do know part of chinese land is koreans, but it was taken away by greed of 3 prince who lost it to chinese.

pig? rofl. not much piggy as you chinese are.

u know how chinese are called chinks and nerd bastards in schools, but koreans? they are called math genius, not nerds

  • Comment removed

  • @dkdnTLqkf funny,I am not surprised since 99% of the kimchi gookies are ignoramus, how funny gooky think that mongol, han chinese and korean had the same ancestor? lol thats just laughable~ and maths genius? frickin go and check out the maths olympics, all the gold medals were won by china

  • @GodsCommand rofl.. dumbass. D: chinese wanted to steal korea's ideas.

    heres an example.

during the corruption and the tension between asia, chinese sent SO CALLED UNDERAGENTS to korea to learn how we koreans were rapidly having a evolution.

what did they learn? death to the spies.

found in a book, " 47,528 out of 48,391 spies from chinese spies were killed brutally to show chinese the new power of Josuns ( koreans dumbass). From then chinese kept tried to dig for new informations

  • @GodsCommand oh wnat one more thing,

china , japan has one of the highest fake religion around the world. u do know china wanted to help north korea? and every war and any war that china was involved, china got fuckpwnt the first and pussed out.

china has the highest - street - crime - . china has the post polluted city in the world, it has the highest birth deformation, it has the most disease around the world.

get the facts right, STUPID SHITTY HOG :D

  • @dkdnTLqkf LOL as what I have said china is a huge developing country,so it has higher regional economic diversity, take care of your own northern starving gooky brothers first and make sure them don't blow you guys first^^

  • @GodsCommand you obviously have nothing better to do than start flame wars and make biased judgements dont you? I think you should just chillax, be a bro, and get out more. yeesh.

  • @GodsCommand Hope this gets YOUR facts straight. history? sure, u watch kungfu movies and think chinese ancestors of urs dodges arrow and stops sword with 2 fingers.

wait, koreans do too. or was it just the knowledge of both korean and chinese generals that gets their name famous?

i'd like to see u defend ur country ( yes, korea im referring to ) by fighting 1 man for every 60 enemy and win. which happened alot in korean history, winning, even outnumbered

  • U fuckin korean pigs, the generals in korean and china history are not in even on the same standard, just take a look at the size the these two countries, you can guess the difference between the quality and the quantity of valiant generals produced by the two countries,China produced generals that massacring Huns, defeating mongols, chasing off turks, conquering viets and other southern native tribes, destroying baekje and goguryeos!!!!!!

  • @GodsCommand yea, chinese , one of the largest country struggled to take over one of the smallest country,

    yet failed.

however, being small country, korean defended against large country, china AND japanese at the same time.

woooo ~ yet ur CHINA country is so fucking huge, couldnt conquer and kept the land for long, and still today, its fucking stupid that it couldnt use the huge population for a good cause.

they just go into hard labor and die like ur mom . HOGS ~

  • @dkdnTLqkf frikin korean rat^^ I am worrying about the health of ur mom since she eat dogs, rats, cats, bugs, silkworms, live octopus everyday.China could take over korea easily but they didn't do so just because korea peninsula was just a piece of poor and uncivilized useless shit land^^,just randomly name a few generals in china history,do you think you korean rats could produce such tough guys? -->Huo qubing,Li Guang, Xue rengui,Su dingfang,Chang yuchun,Lan yu, Xu da.....LOL~

  • @GodsCommand at least my moms still alive, unlike ur dead mom with AIDS.

yea. one of the chinese god the medal, does that mean all u chinks are smart? nope.

from high school to now, all chinese ive seen has harry potter glass and uses the rolling backpak ROFL.

and yes, like i said china is huge country, yet it is still iving poor condition as u guys were before, makes me sad. : (

if korea was a shitland, i guess china is a cursed fucked up land 'cus all ppl there is retarded and bitchY :D

  • @GodsCommand look up on the news , and tv shows , rather then eating ur noodles.

china is crowded, dirty, poor buildings, ppl look like bums, yet korea has civilized building, DRIVES A CAR, NOT BICYCLE, people looks wealthy. oh yea u do know in economic countries, china has the lowest car drivers and has highest bicycle ridersSSSS in the world?

    pshshshhshshs tsktsk sad poor shits.

    MADE IN CHINA

BECUS THEY WORK FOR LESS MONEY

WE WOK FO LESS MAWNY is ur motto hhahahaha

  • @dkdnTLqkf funny, china is diverse, many provinces are rich as well, why don't you take a look at the northern part of your peninsula? they live like dogs. There are tones of korean rats in manchuria, they can be easily told apart from the other ethnic groups, the ugliest, the shortest and the most stinky one with the smell of rat,dog and cat meat must be a korean, they look super inferior compared to mongols,Han chinese and Manchurians

  • @GodsCommand LOL~

chinese had "great" generals as u say and still china is lame country?

u shud know, u dumbcunt, many generals only came out in that 3 dynasty clash. lmfao.

and to think only china had great general is fucking idiotic.

one of koreans general " simin " fought against 30,000 troops of japs with only 3,000 men and won/defended their castle. yi sun shin < u shud know. the turtle ship. best battle ship in asia at that time

  • @GodsCommand OMFG i forgot to tell u how fugly chinese are.

u know how so many chinese are coming over to korea to become idols? its lame . they r ugly lmao.

theres like over 40 chinese in korea as idol and singer and its lame.

and chinese are following korean's idols, mainly they followed Big Bang and Girl's generation

so fucking lame. chinese cant do shit hahahaha

name 1 thing that chinese is good at except making potato and toys for 99c per hour :D

  • bigbangbang your mamrmar? nobody gives a shit about you ignorant kinchitards' lousy music and plastic faces?tones of north korean women are serving as sex slaves in china while the ratty southern korean women are selling their pussies at $2 per night in coastal china. what u koreans so proud about ? copying everything from china ,history distortion, claiming unrelated races' lineages and losing in almost all competitions against china no matter the summer olympics or maths olympics?

  • @GodsCommand who gives shit about NOrth KOrea, at least they r living better then u chink chinese :D

why dont u answer me, name 1 thing china is good at.

  • @dkdnTLqkf Wow, retard, your insulting 1/6th of the world's population.

And China is getting richer and richer, they produce nearly everything you use, look around your house and read all the "Made In China" text.

    So, in conclusion, you're wrong.

  • @STEPHENDANERD let me clear this up stupid shit.

many thing is " MADE IN CHINA"

    that means 2 things.

    1. u guys work for so less money, that means country is poor, people have little job so they work in factory with little money.

    2. Made in China is shitty. it gets broke or fuked up so fast.

PS: made in USA , made in Japan, made in Korea < are expensive, which u guys cant afford.

Pen or Pencil made in Japan is expensive and good, while made in china is fucking hobo shits that we throw away

  • @STEPHENDANERD why do u think we, like korea , japan, usa, europe ask china to make stuff for us?

'cus u guys produce them so fucking fast and so fucking cheap,

    u want example?

    - illegal mexican comes to us, works for little money 'cus they got no talent and skill and they are poor with nothing to do.

see similarity? china and the illegal mexican???

if u dont then u must inhaled too much of china's dirty air

  • @dkdnTLqkf u fooking gookies should juz stop sending ugly gooky whores here and there all over the provinces in china.Just search korean whores on youtube, they are running all over the world to sell their cheap smelly rotten kimchi ratty semll pussies, many countries are considering banning the ratty korean whores from running into their territories illegally!!

  • @GodsCommand ROFL U DIDNT ANSWER MY QUESTION HAHAHAHA

WHATS 1 THING CHINA IS GOOD AT? NOTHINGGGGGGGGGGG U HAVE NOTHING TO SAY

NOW U FUCKING TALKING LIKE A CHINESE HOBO FAILING TO GET SOME RICH KOREAN'S MONEY

" Unicorn? no, this is a goat with disformed body from polluted part in china, growing abnormal horn from it's forhead"

damn.. i see these kind of dirty china fucking life everywhere, so many if i told u, u'd grow hair in ur penis hahahhahaha

  • @dkdnTLqkf I live in U.K you fucktard, seriously you're just a ranting little moron. Everyone stop replying to this guy just ignore this mentally challenged piece of crap.

  • @dkdnTLqkf u fooking gookies r basically good at nothing beside eating ratsdogs and cat meat everything and doing plastic surgery and make ups, fooking irritating ignorant shallow gookies!!!!!!!!

  • @dkdnTLqkf

Its amazing to see such ignorance in this world, and this is coming from a fifteen year old.

this is the most racist thing i have heard ever

  • @TheGrim275 yea fucking dirty chinese

  • @GodsCommand Korea was founded by chinese settlers (for example Canada is so much like Britain because it was a british colony) Obviously you have no Idea what Korea is like because of your ignorance, and about the last part the chinese, mongols and other kingdoms, respected and feared the Koreans for their superior mlitary prowess.

But yeah that comment only made you look like a little dickweed. Sorry but a tool's opinion is not welcome in this world.

  • @dragomancer123 Korean belong to Altaic language speaking people but Chinese belong to Sinitic language speaking people. You know Sinitic language is totally different from Altaic language and of course Chinese origin is totally different from Korean.

  • You call Chinese history now but when Yuan or Mongols tookover china! Chinese history was over! And after Ming's come to power for 200 plus years? Qing tookover! Again Qing made sure their is no Chinese! For your record Yuan or Qing left Korea as indepedent country! Unlike Chinese! And Qing is desent of korea name 'Kim' read and learn

  • @1one1won By that logic British, French and German history also ended when the Romans invaded, which is why they're still called Britain, France, and Germany. Also Korea can't hold a fuck candle to China now without big brother America behind them.

  • @1one1won read your mom! brainless korean pigs have no knowledge and intelligence, they always distort history based on childish shallow things like names

  • Far as we all know! chinese steal everything! Such as product we use everyday! in this case history. Example would be Chinese northest project. Or steal Koean History!

  • Indeed, this Hwacha is some terrifying SH*T

  • lmao, nice comments going on here. I came to check out mythbusters and i see like 10 pages of arguments...kinda ruining the fun.

  • damn koreans are awesome. too bad they were occupied by the japanese during imperial era losing opportunities to show their cultures that are now destroyed.

  • @WingedCity01

That was only for minimal time, first time in history, we were ruled by a foreign people. There are other inventions we had for military, other than hwacha.

  • Anyways I dont want to argue as its a pointless and a waste of time. I dont hate Koreans, I just hate crazy nationalists(Korean or not). Nationalists are usually losers who are rejected by society so they desperately try to create a sense of superiority and self worth through race and history. Just look at the Neo Nazis, they are usually fat ugly bold guys who are unemployed and skill-less. What do they do?, they resort to race to create a superficial sense of superiority.

  • @freaktong Many Korean hate Chinese but it's not because they are nationalists. Many Chinese have been brainwashed by Sinocentrism, which is one of the worst thinking on earth. In history China was conquered by various invaders but Chinese do not think that they were conquered because of Sinocentrism. According to the Shit-ism Chinese should be great but they're not in reality. That's why they also have Ah-Q-ism. Ultranationalists? Nazis? Those cannot compare with Sinocentrism.

  • @KoriSenbay

You sure about that?, what you've said so far just further demostrate your an illogical Korean nationalist.

Your are racist who can't come to term that history and culture of a country is not about ethnicity. Sure Tang and Sui dynasty had rulers of mixed han and xiabei origin but its still Chinese history. Just like Qing and Yuan dynasty.

  • @freaktong By the way I think you don't know what racist means.

  • @KoriSenbay

Clearly your too aware of what racist means. Since your such a critic on Chinese history. Can you tell me great empires or acheivements of Korea?. What are some of your inventions?. I'm dont know any so enlighten me.

  • @freaktong

achievements = heating system to woodblock printing.

Empires = Gojoseon, Goguryeo, to Jin dynasty. hahahha XD

  • @Hananim91

Jin dynasty? i'm not aware there was a Korean Jin dynasty.

  • @freaktong

Look at founder of Jin, dumbass. Again, you are dumb. Why is Northern Wei consider Chinese?? If the dynasty is not chinese???

  • @Hananim91

I thought Chinese invented woodblock printing? Korea had a bronze press but woodblock printing?.

  • @freaktong

No, Koreans did. Even in Science, Technology encyclopedia, the invention is credited to Silla people. Heck, Koreans were much advanced in printing than Chinese, so it would be wrong for Chinese to steal inventions. ^---^

  • @Hananim91

Your the only dumbass here, it is widely known that Chinese invented block printing.

Chinese are not a single ethnic group but a combination of different ethnic groups assimulated into Chinese culture. In Chinese history, different ethnic group assimulate into Chinese culture all the time.

You stupid nationalists are ethnic supremacists who always think ethnic group = history of country. When rulers are not "specfic" ethnic group then not history of a country.

  • @freaktong

Yes, Chinese invented fire too.hahhahhahhaha I'm always talking about Han chinese, han chinese came from yellow river. In China, there's a thing called "Han superiority"...hahhahha what a bunch of hypocrites!

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @Hananim91

Ironically your not living in your home country but a foreign one. You are racist and hateful towards specific ethnic group while at the same time are squatting in a foreign country expecting to be treated fairly?. I know the American society can be harsh on immigrants, maybe its thats what causes your insecurity/ultra nationalism.

  • @freaktong

LOL, I live in Busan, you dick. Now now, don't be jealous.

  • @Hananim91

What is there to be jealous of?. That your an insecure loser rejected by mainstream American society?. You dont even know how to speak Korean. Truely what is there to be jealous about?. Also does laughing in a response means your nervous?

  • @freaktong

How do you know I can't speak Korean??? You can't even speak Chinese nor are you in China. What a hypocrite.

  • @Hananim91

I speak fluent Mandarin and English, being bilingual is a huge advantage. You however, grew up in America without good knowledge of Korean language.

I'm not a hypocrite, your just a blatant racist who ironically lives in a foreign country. If you as an asian immigrant or such is racist, then what rights do you have to oppose neo nazis and white supramists who wnat you out the country?.

  • @freaktong

LOL simple answer, I'm not in their country. You don't even know me. I am fluent in Korean and English. One rule of thumb, don't judge others in internet. ^-----^

  • @Hananim91

I've seen how your not able to understand Korean posted by certain Korean members. You may come from Korean but it logical to conclude you currently reside in the United States.

"don't judge others in internet" this is by far the most funny thing I've heard, coming from a Korean racist/nationalist,. Why can you say to not judge others when the sole purpose of you and your friends is to degrade certain ethnic group?. Is this not hypocrisy?

  • @freaktong

Can you read my posts?? I don't have hangul keyboard in my laptap. I don't degrade anyone. I only degrade nationalists like yourself. Believe, what you want. But we know Chinese gov't is distorting history.

  • @Hananim91

So now i'm the nationalist ?. I'm the one posting hateful comments towards Chinese and Japanese?. I'm the one who favourite nationalist bullshit like Chinese/Japanese copy culture?. I'm the one who is ultra concerned about ethnicity and trying to create false sense of superiority? I'm the one who said "jap are shorter and looks like an asian monkey, dumbass " in another post?.

Dont be stupid, the only thing i'm guilty of is responding to nationalists like yourself.

    Don't

  • @Hananim91 u r not degrading anyone? My god who is calling other ppl bad names like Chink...

  • @Hananim91

This equates back to your insecurity complex where you try and create a superficial sense of superiority. Under your stupid logic, Korea was a vassal state of China for centuries. Does it mean its not Korean history since the one calling the shots were the Chinese?.

  • @freaktong

Korea was only vassal of Ming because Joseon was a neo-confucianist state. Ming never conquered or invade Korea in 1 inch of peninsula. So what??? China was under much of foreign rule for more than 2,000 years and that includes Jin dynasty from Silla. Heck, even Song emperor who was captured thought Jin was Silla according TO your records.

  • Comment removed

  • This is the most awesome ancient weapon and the moment when all arrows launch is among the coolest moments in Mythbusters.

  • I think it would be more sensible to compare Korean acheivements against Chinese acheivements. You dont need to try and link Manchu with Koreans and act as if the acheivemnets of the Manchu are somewhat Korean acheivements.

  • @freaktong Manchus themselves said that that their origin is closely related to Korean in their history book.

  • Also why are Koreans always trying tp link Manchus with Koreans?. Because Manchus became the rulers of China?.

Manchu are a seperate ethnic group currently numbers over 10 million in China.

  • @freaktong The reason why Korean say that Manchus were closely related to Korean is that it's the fact that Korean and Jurchen/Manchus are closely related to each other based on history books and Manchus also said that they were closely related to Korean. That's all.

  • @freaktong The origin of Manchu is closely related to Korean, Korean and Jurchen/Manchus were the same Altaic origin people and they always adjoined each other in history. I know that Jurchen/Manchus empires conquered Chinese countries twice but it does not mean that Chinese can claim that Altaic origin Jurchen/Manchus history should belong to Sinitic origin Chinese history.

  • @KoriSenbay

But this fact is Manchu are NOT Koreans. Having "closer" genetic relation means nothing. We are all at least 99.8 percent related to africans. So can Africans claim Korean history?.

Anyways the Manchu nearly 100% assimilated into the Chinese culture. They changed their names to Chinese, Abandoned their language and culture.

  • @freaktong I think that you're confused a little. Nobody says that Manchus were Korean. Manchus were Manchus, Chinese are Chinese, and Korean are Korean. What the hell is about Africans? Africans what? I can't understand why you mention it. I thought that we're talking about history not genetics.

I know that almost all Manchus descendants disappeared on earth and Manchurian-Chinese lost their culture, language, and other. But it does not mean that the origin of Manchus also disappeared.

  • The amazing thing is none of them hit targets.

p.s Btw Sinocentrism is one of the most disgusting thing on the planet for sure.

  • @counteralfa yes for sure. I agree that Sinocentrism is one of the most disgusting thing on the planet. Based on the shit, most Chinese think that all about their neighboring ethnics such as Mongolian, Korean, Manchurian, Japanese, Uighur (East Turkistan), and Tibetan history and culture should belong to China. What a disgusting thinking.

  • @KoriSenbay

I dont understand your logic, your saying Qing and Yuan dynasty are not Chinese history because the rulers were not ethnic han Chinese?. So, is Japanese occupation of Korea "Korean" history?. Or when Korean were vassal states "Korean history"?. The last time I checked, the Manchu abandoned their culture and language to join the han chinese.

Its always nice to see Koreans taking stabs at China under the banner of "Sinocentrism".

  • @freaktong What are you talking about? Japanese occupied Korea for 35 years in the early 20th century but no Korean say that Japanese history should belong to Korea for the reason.

But Chinese say that Manchus and Mongols empire conquered Chinese country and ruled Chinese and the invaders' empires should belong to China. Chinese say that the invaders' emperors should be Chinese emperors if they ruled Chinese.

  • @KoriSenbay

Are the hundreds of years where Korea was a vassal state "korean history"?. What happened in Korea in these times are not "Korean history"?.The Yuan and Qing dynasty were not like the Japanese occupation, especially the Qing dynasty, life and culture there no different than any other Chinese dynasty.

  • @freaktong Chinese country "South Song" was conquered by Mongols invaders and their another country "Ming" was conquered by Manchus invaders. Mongols Yuan was a great empire of Mongolians' and Manchus Daicing was a great empire of Manchus'. Those empires were not Chinese empires. China was conquered by the conquerors and became a part of the empires.

  • @KoriSenbay

What about when Korea was a vassal state of China for hundreds of years?. Are these times Chinese history and not Korean history?.

  • @freaktong well, Korean never be a vassal state of China in History. I don't know when Korea was under a vassal state of China?

  • @KoriSenbay

An idiot said:"Korean never be a vassal state of China in History."

Then why the capitial of Korea is called "漢城"(city of Han dynasty) in the past?

Why Ming Dynasty helps the weak as shit Korea to defend the invasion of Japan?

  • @luibu1989 An ignorant said something weird as if Korea was a vassal state of China in history but the ignorant cannot say that when Korea was.

The ignorant even don't know what "漢城" means but I can understand it because he's not Korean. There flows a river which was called Ari River in the capital of South Korea. Ari River was written "阿利水", "漢水", or others in the characters and "漢城" was derived from "漢水". Therefore "漢" means Ari not Han dynasty, you ignorant.

  • The ignorant also asks me why Ming helped Korea. Ming wanted the title "empire" and they tried to keep having trade with Korea, which was called "official trade" or "tributary-style trade" even though it caused a damage to public finance. Therefore, The empire had no choice but to help Korea when Korea asked for help. As the result of the war the arrogant Ming army was hardly useful to Korea and approx. 50 years later Great Ming was conquered by Manchus invaders.

  • @KoriSenbay

Keep saying other ignorant doesn't mean you are not a RETARD.

What a stupid, "漢城" is han character because Han culture influence weak Korea alot, so why those small eyes korean change its name to 首爾 to build up their nationalism.

Do you idiot know 漢城is called Hansung in the past?IDIOT

  • @luibu1989 Tongyi who lived in the east of China founded Sang dynasty. Tongyi conquered China and ruled Chinese for hundreds of years. Tongyi first used Oracle Bone Scripts and Chinese characters were derived from Tongyi's scripts.

    (1) The characters were not Chinese own invention.

    (2) The characters are ideograms and does not have its own sound. Korean were able to call it another sounds.

"漢" was called "Ari" in Korean language.

    IGNORANT

  • @KoriSenbay

IDIOT No one know WTF is Tongyi and Sang and stop twisting history you shameless Korean.

Fuck off, you all kmichi use han character for a long time until a Korean idiot created an ugly Korean character.

if "漢" was called "Ari",then why 漢城 is called Hansung can you explain why?

  • Korean idiot keep twisting the history and try to brainwash others like their government does,

If Korean are not vassal state of China, why Korea keep givine tribute to China for many centuries?

Also Dongmyo in Hansung,Korea was funded by Ming emperor due to the sucess in defecting Japanese invasion.( Ming army have large contribution in it because Korea was weak as shit like in present )

If Korean are not vassal state of China, why Ming emperor do so?

  • @luibu1989 well, it's said that arrogant Ming army was hardly helpful to Korea and that's one of the reason why the war lasted for 7 years.

  • @luibu1989 I repeat that an ignorant say something weird as if Korea was a vassal state of China in history but the ignorant still cannot say that when Korea was. And I answered to your question why China tried to keep having trade with Korea (official trade or tributary-style trade) even though it caused a damage to the public finance of the empire and why Ming had no choice but to help Korea when Korea asked for help.

  • @luibu1989 Why do you think that no one knows Tongyi and Sang? Tongyi (東夷) were the people who lived in the east of China. They conquered China and founded Sang (商) dynasty there. The invaders first used oracle bones and oracle bone scripts. They ruled Chinese for hundreds of years and their script was introduced into China at the time. Later Chinese characters were derived from Tongyi's scripts.

  • @luibu1989 I repeat that that's because Chinese characters which was derived from Tongyi's script are not phonetic symbols. "漢" was called "Ari" and "Han" in Korean. If Korean were to call it "Shit" there would be no problem.

  • @KoriSenbay

WTF! it's shang dynasty not sang idiot,

so you mean shang dynasty were not chinese history you idiot?

Korean used han character but not Tongyi's scripts okay?

you first claim "漢" was called "Ari", now you change "漢" was called Han too, you are really mercurial.:)

I agree that 漢城 should call shitsung, it become much better.

No comments to other ignorant response.

  • @luibu1989 Mongols Yuan dynasty conquered China, Jurchens Kim dynasty conquered China, Manchus 2nd Kim dynasty (Later Jin, Qing) conquered China again, Senbi (Xianbei)'s Wi, Su, and Tang dynaties ruled China, Tongyi conquered China... But the invaders' empires are not Chinese history. China was just a part of the empires at that time.

At first I said that 漢 was called Ari because of the explanation that 漢城 is not related to Han dynasty.

  • @KoriSenbay

Sorry to spoil it but Sui and Tang dynasty are han chinese history. The emperor of Tang had small percentages of xiabei (because Xiabei was sinicized). but otherwise a han chinese Even the emperor himself said that his family traces back to the han dynasty.

How about Korea?, were you not tributary/vassal state to foreign power for most your history?. Did your rulers not used Chinese until the mid 1400s?.

  • @freaktong Su and Tang dynasties were Senbi (Xianbei)'s history. After Huns destroyed Chinese country called Jin dynasty, various Altaic invaders occupied northern China and founded their own kingdoms here and there. Chinese call it "五胡十六國". Senbi were one of the invaders and they unified all the other invaders' kingdoms. Later it became Su and Tang dynasties in the end. Senbi's Su dynasty finally conquered Chinese country in southern China and started to rule the whole Chinese territory in 589.

  • @luibu1989 Korean used the characters which was derived from Tongyi's scripts.

  • @KoriSenbay

talking to ignorant korean always make people feel happy.

do you mean so called a "nation" was classified since the big bang occur?

Do you mean Korea being conquered in WWII doesn't count in Korean history?

Shang dynasty was over 2000 years ago, nobody know the reality at that time. also Oracle bone script was related to 東夷(is Dongyi, read English history book can make you learn real history.)

but many culture are inter-related and affecting each other, nothing to feel special.

  • Various invaders such as Tongyi, Senbi, Jurchen/Manchus, and Mongols conquered Chinese country and ruled Chinese but Chinese think that they should be great. They want to think that that the invader's empires such as Mongols Yuan dynasty is actually great Chinese empires. But in reality China was just a part of the invaders' empires. That's why they're trying to distort the invaders' history.

  • @KoriSenbay

Is it that or are you just too insecure of your own history?. Watch "Crazy Korean Nationalists", its describes you perfectly. :P

  • @KoriSenbay

"I think that you're confused a little. Nobody says that Manchus were Korean".

Countless posts were made trying to link Koreans with Manchu. You Koreans are trying to assoicate yourselves with the Manchus so you could bask in Manchu acheivements.

  • @freaktong I've said that Manchus origin is closely related to Korean but I've never said that Manchus were Korean. I repeat that Manchus were Manchus and Korean are Korean.

  • @KoriSenbay

Even your own channel description says the Manchus are Koreans.

  • @freaktong I don't know about it. I've never mentioned that Manchus were Korean.
