Out of the many directors I've watched interviews of, M. Night Shyamalan sounds THE DUMBEST. He constantly uses filler words, he also loves to say "like this, or like that" when he's not sure what to say...and he also stutters a lot.

The programme is AWSOME!!! 100 out of 10.... the film was about 7.5 out of 10. Shaymalan should have not taken out the Kyoshi warriors or avatar Roku (that past life connection between avatar's was too important) - but he did an alright job. Though I do love the fact that the show kinda took the piss out of the movie in the third season's 17th (i think) episode, the ember island players :) 'that wasnt a good play... but the effects were decent...'
The movie was saved by special affects but isnt even comparable to the tv series. But it would be hard to cram it all into 1 movie, maybe he should have devided 10 episodes into the movie (part 1) too capture the charactors. Or maybe it should have been left animated. But i thank the movie for getting me into the tv show

His version of the Kyoshi Warriors didn't even have make up, just thin red lines under their eyes that make them look drugged. It would be hilarious if Azula thinks that would shield her identity.

Seriously, after all of the garbage I was watching, I was like "well at least the action is going to be amazing." The action was trash as well! Like 10 seconds of bending, and the firebenders can't even make fire. So lame.

This interview definitely gave me hope that the movie is gonna be good. only thing thats sketchy is ZUKO! Dude that plays him doesnt really look like him. He looks like a pussy compared to the anime Zuko
ok so at first i was a bit skeptical about making Avatar into a live action movie, but as it turns out these guys have it under control. I repsect M,Night for his originality and creativity but it wont work unless he stays true to the story line and thanks to the producers being there to help him i look forward to a blockbuster hit !

IS THERE ANOTHER ANSWER?! HAHA 5:00 - 5:30 He's the only teen on the show with a REAL identity crisis. Aang HAS to be the avatar so its more of an acceptance struggle and Sokka wants to be some warrior or whatever and Azula is a psycho. Zuko has all these choices and chances.

unlike some people i have learned to except the cast and i am very excited for the movie and i cant wait to see it. i am very glad mike and bryan still have a part in this so that they can help pick the best parts of the show and make the movie as great as posible. 1 of my friends is very excited and he hasnt even liked it that long so it shows you if someone who isnt very familiar with avatar thinks he'll love the movie than the fans should be excited and happy too. :)

I trust that as long as Mike and Bryan are helping M. Night, he'll stay on track with the story. I'm not sure about the casting choices, but it sounds like M. Night is very excited to work on the interesting fight scenes, and I will still enjoy seeing how the live action characters use martial arts with the elements.

Toph is being written out of the script and being combined with Suki's character. So Suki in the movie is gonna be a Toph-like earthbender who happens to be a Kyoshi warrior that White Sokka likes.
Dev did awesome in Slumdog, and the indians they got for Zhao, Iroh, and Ozai are all acomplished actors.
I know the fire nation's obviously south asian, but I doubt they'll change the cast, so what's the point of whining and dissing? I'm waiting until I see the actual movie before I make the decison as to whether or not it's horrible.

I saw a youtube vid where someone took Jackson and Nicola's pictures and photoshopped them. With super dark tans, bright blue contacts and dark brown hair, they really COULD pass off as Sokka and Katara. (IMHO)The only thing I REALLY hate is that Jesse McCarthney is Zuko.... But since Shalmalan and the 2 original director/producers are working on this movie, I REALLLLLLLY hope it's perfect.

ok so at first i was a bit skeptical about making Avatar into a live action movie, but as it turns out these guys have it under control. I repsect M,Night for his originality and creativity but it wont work unless he stays true to the story line and thanks to the producers being there to help him i look forward to a blockbuster hit !
i'm still upset about the cast....but as long as their skills can compromise for it, the world will be fine.

IS THERE ANOTHER ANSWER?! HAHA 5:00 - 5:30 He's the only teen on the show with a REAL identity crisis. Aang HAS to be the avatar so its more of an acceptance struggle and Sokka wants to be some warrior or whatever and Azula is a psycho. Zuko has all these choices and chances.

0:56 as the supposed narrator of the show, i think the creators could have put more focus into her. she gets more screen time than zuko yet i see zuko as more of a protagonist than she is
4:20 its not 30 hrs. its more like 20 hrs...you know, not counting commericals :P
so 20 episodes = 6 hrs & 40 min
minus the subplots like Jet and the great divide...that could works as a 2 hour something movie

unlike some people i have learned to except the cast and i am very excited for the movie and i cant wait to see it. i am very glad mike and bryan still have a part in this so that they can help pick the best parts of the show and make the movie as great as posible. 1 of my friends is very excited and he hasnt even liked it that long so it shows you if someone who isnt very familiar with avatar thinks he'll love the movie than the fans should be excited and happy too. :)

I trust that as long as Mike and Bryan are helping M. Night, he'll stay on track with the story. I'm not sure about the casting choices, but it sounds like M. Night is very excited to work on the interesting fight scenes, and I will still enjoy seeing how the live action characters use martial arts with the elements.

Toph is being written out of the script and being combined with Suki's character. So Suki in the movie is gonna be a Toph-like earthbender who happens to be a Kyoshi warrior that White Sokka likes.

Dev did awesome in Slumdog, and the indians they got for Zhao, Iroh, and Ozai are all acomplished actors.
I know the fire nation's obviously south asian, but I doubt they'll change the cast, so what's the point of whining and dissing? I'm waiting until I see the actual movie before I make the decison as to whether or not it's horrible.

I saw a youtube vid where someone took Jackson and Nicola's pictures and photoshopped them. With super dark tans, bright blue contacts and dark brown hair, they really COULD pass off as Sokka and Katara. (IMHO)The only thing I REALLY hate is that Jesse McCarthney is Zuko.... But since Shalmalan and the 2 original director/producers are working on this movie, I REALLLLLLLY hope it's perfect.

If Shyamalan doesn't change the cast, he's guilty of "cultural appropriation": the adoption of some specific elements of one culture by a different cultural group. Yes there will be! It'll be coming out in 2010 and M. Night Shyamalan is currently holding auditions for an all unknown cast. For now, they're looking for 12-15 year old kids with good acting skills and preferably at least some basic martial art training.
