@afzoomie67 Did you listen to both tracks? The difference is pretty clear. Capital Radio Two has that "radio-friendly" intro (another jab at the radio stations), the singing style is different (like how Joe says "they don't make the city beeeeeeeeeat", and the way Mick sings), plus Joe's little rant at the end. Anyways, I think Capital Radio Two has the slight edge over Capital Radio One for those stated reasons lol
@iwantcompletecontrol I posted that waaaaaaaaaaaaaay before I listened to them both in depth. Before (4 months ago) I just went "oh, it's Capital Radio Two" and tuned it out and same for one, I thought they were similar. Then I started playing bass to the tracks and they're a lot different, but thanks for point that out anyway. Btw, love the screename.
Never forget The Clash! As a 19 year old (Not for much longer though lol) being brought up playing music of this kind was amazing and The Clash stood out big time. I think I should have been around back then, it would have been so much fun!
"hey! hey, you guys! come on. Jonesy!" "yeah, what?" "hey, listen. I've been thinking, we'll never get on the radio like this, you know that? now. I've been studying the charts, using my mind, and my imagination, and I can see it all know...the drummer's in the box office, and he's counting all the MONEY!"
I love the acoustic intro, I always imagine them in the studio saying, this will show 'em we can play delicate stuff like that all day long, but we'd rather rock out!
The Clash had a big fight with their label to release this - they put 4 songs for the price of 2, which their label didn't like... hence the finger over the bar code... bloody brilliant EP...'fantastic drumming at 2.25'.... 'yeah, you guys know just what to do... r u guy's ready? On the count of Four.... 4!!!"
I didn't know there was a different version of this track until now and I'm a huge Clash fan. Thanks for the upload.

This isn't even close to my favorite song, but my jaw fell open at one point. I don't think that's ever happened before.
