JustXCeeD. . . have u seen a scandinavian persons hair? It is litterally slicked to our sculls! I draw myself and high hair is just a matter of style really. Besides, a persons scull isn't exactly round lika an egg either.

@thirzje try making the eyebrows thicker and the eyes have to look like you drew them a bit messy plus changeing the chin might help....^_^

you dont really need long practises you just need to analyse the charecters and stuff and make sure they appeal to yourself thats most important!!!

oh and a good way to make a great charecter is to give him a really strong personality and then dont think how the story should go but allow the charecter to make his own descisions based on his personality..it helped me a lot

i havent gone back to any of the earlier comments, but, it might me good to note that, although these eyes are modeled after someones certain style, in general, with anger, the pupil tends to be quite a bit smaller then say, someone that is calm, relaxed. . . not so much pissed off.

Even though it is in its early stages, it would be wise not to copy an other artist's work.

I don't think he would mind you using this illustration as inspiration, but don't go to far. Think creativly and original so that your character is unique and interesting.
