U was, to by nawet Papież poszedł siedzieć.
What, dirty Yankeses? Aren't you shamed? You jailed genius. But in your fucked, dirty country even Pope wold be jailed. You are jealous, because your tiny, dirty directors are just little bitches, and Polański is real men, Polish, and Genius.
This is very good short movie. Polanski showed his big director's talent in a few scenes. It's not masterpiece indeed, but it's very close to it. His next short movie - 'Two men and the wardrobe' was a little bit better, but his first long debut - 'A knife in the water', was a real masterpiece of cinema.
I don't think so. I don't even know if there was any underlying meaning. I think it's something like this: Everyone has his own idea of 'fun'. You can make a party, but there is always somebody to ruin it.
When I was in Lodz a few years ago at a film festival, everyone was telling me about this film. It seemed to me a kind of local legend. I'd wanted to catch a screening while in town, but never could. Glad I'm able to see it now.
This was made as a documentry short film exam of Polanski when he was a student in Lodz. the party is real, and Polanski invited the gang, knowing that they will interere and destroy the party, making him good subject for the film. After that, many were angry with him, but I don't think he cared too much...
I have been researching this and really can't find anything that says that this is true. I live in Lodz and have a lot of connections to the film school but it always comes across as a myth...
@nmrkg I live in that city :) And i got to know some people that study and work in film school :) By the way-not much had changed about some people that live here.
The guy is sick, te film is great.

Reżyser kabotyn. Widocznie mając 24 lata w ten sposób musiał odreagować brak powodzenia u wszystkich płci. Etiuda wyszła niejako przy okazji.

What is the underlying meaning of the film? Is it a class thing? As some were not able to pay to get into the party?
