we used to have a working copy of U9, but then the installation stopped working. so i decided to dl a cracked version which had a working installation. but the game didn't work. fortunately the cd still played the game! a great game well deserving a spot on my top 10 games ever played.
I Listen to this piece of music while watching the ocean crash up onto the beach, at Ocean City Md. Was really cool imaging what a real ship from the 1600 & 1700's might have looked like sailing past.
And this song is one of the only pieces that fits into other places besides an Ultima Game. I like putting this music to other pirate films & it fits.
Most definitely. U9 is one of the rare soundtracks that were really iconic and memorable; the point when music becomes part of the story itself, rather than just "background music".
@crimsonhawk72 that's because, unlike the game itself, the music never had to be re-designed. It was probably already finished back when U9 would have had a top-down isometric view.
thumbs if you want Ultima X

It's not U9, It's UO that comes to my mind, and I shiver..

Stones and buccaneer's den, those were strongest tracks in the game.

man, i am lost...
It looks like there is s redbook audio for this game and my ultima 9 just play lame music (just a glimpsy of what music is supposed to be).
Is it normal?

I live my memories on exclusively through the soundtracks now.. and this was no exception in drowning me in nostalgia. Thanks for the rip + upload.

The game may not have been as awesome as it could have been but, hell, the soundtrack was absolutely brilliant!

@crimsonhawk72 Final fantasy series and Half-life has "memorable" music.
The difference is that Ultima has Epic music.
