  • How about the other side opinion? These girls will just trump it up with lies.

  • ::cough:: she is lying ::cough::

  • Vector, Blue, and all those other marketing scams need to tell the fucking truth

  • ya'll just dont wanna do work n make money! lazy asses

  • I love cutco! its legit!!!

  • What a baller! 200k in sales!! Look how comfortable and poised she is. That is the skillsyou can gain too with Vector!

  • I work for this company, and my boss gets pissed cause i just ride the sh*t out of the basepay hahaha

  • this is all bullshit. i got a call a lil bit ago from the company they didnt even know my fuckin last name and they said i wud be perfect for the job n shit. its all bullshit

  • @mitchrocks04 They don't really care about the people who hear about them and don't find out themselves if it works or not, because working for Cutco requires that you setup your own time and appointments for your clients much like a real estate agent would. If all you do is show up to a single place for minimum wage, that's a lot more convenient than Cutco, but selling in this manner gives credibility to your ability to work a job that actually requires constant planning and negotiation.

  • @mitchrocks04 bc your friend referred you. If your friend tells the manager he I have a friend who would be perfect for the job his name is tim. What would you expect? they didnt offer you a job over the phone by the way they invited you in to apply and go throught the interview process

  • CUTCO IS MURDER!

  • translation: college kids are impressionable suckers who aren't afraid to push overpriced products on their friends and family.

In the days of the internet, quality knives are available anywhere.....no need to pay an MLM scheme.

  • @daw162 you are a dope. Do you know what an mlm is? reps pay NOTHING to work at vector. They dont even have a sample deposit. So they trust people with $400 of their products and they are scamming you?

  • @BrooklynPhoenixTeam $400. Haha. $75 worth of stuff you're supposed to try to pawn off on your relatives for $400? "trust" is an interesting word. It's more like, hey, I found a dumb kid who is willing to irritate the crap out of their relatives and friends by trying to soak them for overpriced overhyped knives and scissors that don't do anything more than any mid-quality (cheaper) products. And I get to keep a percentage of their sales.

Joke's on you and your relatives.

  • @daw162 So again explain to me how its a MLM like you said whether its $75 or $400 (which it isnt)? Irritate? so the fact that they get paid whether or not the family buys really "bothers them." And they see family and friends for what 2-3 days then they are seeing people who they dont know but i guess they are bothered too. Everyone is bothered and then they buy bc they feel bad about being bothered right? my mom has had cutco for 14 years and its the only knives she uses. Sucks for her huh.

  • iam a sales rep myself. where iam at, no one wants to buy any knives. I have PERFECTED my speech and memorised the book. and made about 45+ appointentments in the last month and I havent gotten paid yet.....

  • @454NitroBlock Well your obviously not a good sales person. Or your lying about how many appointments you have done. First of all they pay you to do presentations even if you don't sell, so saying you have not gotten paid yet for doing 45+ (by the way what is 45+...like you don't know how many you've done?)is very unbelievable. Second, location has nothing to do with it. Most people CAN afford knives, it just depends on how good you are with helping them to realize it.

  • @454NitroBlock then call the company and speak to your manager about that. The company is legit but that's bullshit, most likely an employee there is the cause. That or you're not turning in your orders right

  • It is a pyramid scheme. You will have to sell to your friends and family. If you can stomach that then you will do well. You can make a decent paycheck but it is a pyramid scheme.

  • @coverchenko how is it a pyramid scheme. Explain

  • SCAM SCAM SCAM

  • to the people saying your just selling to family and friends i myself have done 12 appointments ive sold at 10 out of 12 making over $500 so far nd out of those 10 people that bought only 2 were family members its a great job you just need the right training and mentallity

  • they have no souls....

  • lmao, this vid is a scam in itself. Vector produced this. That guy is not an anchor and in the decription it says msnbc but the vid says abc? dont get fooled people!!!

  • @kdawg2008 I hate to break it to you but if this video was fake im pritty sure that Vector Marking would be in alot of trouble... Which hasn't happened because there still in business and there still accredited by the BBB. You are obviously an ex-employee who didn't work hard enough to get anywhere with Vector. Grow up and find something better to do that smash a company that you had no success with.

  • the problem with Cutco? If your selling the product, the company should not continously pressure to sell the product to your friends and families/their friends and families.

Why? This is not a proper way to make business. A real salesman sells to potential customers they dont even know who they are. Ofcourse friends and families will buy your shit because they know or perhaps pity you.

  • @441meatloaf You start with family for practice. You get paid to practice, without them buying anything. By getting referrals to family friends, then friends of those, you get to people you don't know. And you have to ask permission from the person giving their friends' info before contacting them via phone to schedule an appointment.

  • i don't like this reporter... it's like he's trying to make them sound dumb but asking really dumb questions in turn making himself look completely dumb... there's no way around this, he's being dumb!

  • @L0rdAlabaster Comparing a car to a bike is a retarded comparison? that is exactly what you just did, you literally just compared a car to a bike better than I did. You are misunderstanding the terminology I was using, I didn't say using a car wasn't better or normal, i said it wasn't a necessity, meaning it isn't necessary to survive. Good comparison of the car and bike I'm amused you felt the need to explain it to everyone lol you don't really think a car is a necessity do you?

  • b/c college students are desperate.

  • Cutco is not the best quality in the world. If you think that, I challenge you to research the materials used in the knife and compare that to material in many other knives. You will learn very soon how to spend you money wisely. Knives are an investment, don't skimp a few hundred bucks because you think it's a good idea. Pay the extra money and get an extra special product, not cutco.

  • @FiddlerAdam oh one other thing since you think the Food network is more credible then the wall street journal, nbc, and abc news, and modern marvels (which kind knows more about building stuff then a chef) but anyway. Cutco was on the food network. it was featured on a show called Unwrapped. So what now? Now they're reputable?

  • Comment removed

  • @FiddlerAdam angain then why do they still exist and are growing? Understand that there are 700+ offices for vector. All independantly run. (Just like Mcdonalds). Some of the Managers don't do the right things or don't run their business correctly. So suits against a manager doesn't make VECTOR evil. As far as mark up. yes there is markup. Macy's has a base markup of 57% on everything in the store AND THEY DON'T MAKE ANYTHING. So they are marking up all ready marked up stuff...cont

  • @FiddlerAdam So any company that has a lawsuit filed against them is a scam? Well I guess every large company in america is a scam then. The infamous lawsuit was in arizona in 1990 (20 years ago) and the corrections were made by the company. Just like any other large company with multiple branches. So what you are saying is ALL of these schools, media, outlets, and the wall street journal are all Blinded by the 252 million dollar company? give me a break.

  • @allvectordetractors Explain to me how ABCnews, nbc news, modern marvels, the wall street journal (webreprints(dot)djreprints(dot) com/2003710649789.html), david letterman, mtv, SNL, stony brook, rutgers, purdue, boston college, illinios state, etc etc etc have ALL been fooled by vector and promote such a scam. If only they read youtube comments they would realize that they have no clue what they are talking about and what an evil company it is they promote. Thank god for youtube

  • @philosophyman76 Simple, none of those organizations have any knowledge about cutlery. If you asked them what is the difference between 440A, B, or C steel, they wouldn't know (though the same thing goes for Cutco employees and most managers). Vector isn't a scam; they merely sell an inferior product at a ridiculously high price markup, and do so off the mainstream market, w/o distributors, in order to be competitive. Anything over 35 bucks for a piece of stamped hollow ground 440A is a ripoff

  • @RebelWrestler45 yeah. look up cutco on modern marvels. i'm sure they didn't do their research either and know notthing about steel. i've run into hundreds of customers who have had it 20-30-40 years plus never been sharpened (although they will be for free) and swear by their cutco. so is cutco a katana sword? no. but to say its overpriced when its 30% cheaper then shun in stores and lasts just as long is just a wrong statement. i dont care if its made from chewing gum as long as it works.

  • @philosophyman76 There was no metallurgical comparison on "modern marvels"; so no, they didn't do any research for steel comparison. Those used to Wal-Mart crap would be pleased w/ Cutco, like the Amish with a KIA sedan. If Cutco is only 30% more expensive than Shun, this illustrates how much of a ripoff Cutco is. Shun uses a laminated VG-10 blade, well over 5x the cost of 440A. 440A lasts nowhere near as long as VG-10; it has much worse edge retention, strength, and overall blade performance.

  • @RebelWrestler45 can you not read or are you just willfully ignorant. I said 30% cheaper. That means less expensive dumbwad. I'm sure you know more then the people and researchers at modern marvels. they just said "lets just pick any knife company that makes crappy stuff and put it on our show." and a state for the willfully ignorant once again. I don't care if they use alliminum foil for the blade. If it cuts for 30-40 years who cares.

  • @philosophyman76 I meant to say 30% cheaper. Regardless, Cutco could be 1/4 the price of Shun, and still be overpriced, due to materials, grinding, and finishing processes. 440A is shit, no kitchen knife should ever be hollow ground. Do you seriously think companies don't contact entertainment outlets for product placement? I've sold thousands of dollars worth of Cutco; straight edge 440A junk will dull after one use, the dd edge will last for a few weeks. If it can't pop hairs, it isn't sharp.

  • @RebelWrestler45 Yeah cutco called modern marvels and they said yeah we'll put our reputation on the line to promote your product. My mom has used it for 13 years every day and it still cuts great. i have personally sold $60,000 worth of cutco and I can call any of my 200 customers that have had it for 10 years or more and get nothing but thanks yous and the knives are great. So you can go zf900-double lick my steel balls. You sound like a someone who got fired and is mad. Sorry Charlie

  • @philosophyman76 What reputation? Modern marvels just toured their production facility; they didn't test the product or compare it to competitors. No knife 'cuts great' after 13 years of use, unless you judge cutting performance standards by that of a butter knife. If you think Cutco is good, you simply have never used a decent knife. If any one of your 200 customers had ever used a factory sharp Shun they would throw their Cutco in the trash. Cutco is overpriced for what it is; low quality junk

  • @RebelWrestler45 so any company can just call modern marvels and say oh come down we make the best widgets and they do know background check, no comparisons, no fact checking. they just go Ok we'll just walk around your factory and then call them the worlds best bc we don't care about our show as long as we can promote your company. Thats what you think?

  • @philosophyman76 Modern marvels never called Cutco the world's best, or the sharpest cultery. They specifically said Cutco cutlery of Olean, New York 'claims' to make the world's sharpest knives. Modern marvel tours factories from high tech weapons systems, to potato chip makers; I seriously doubt modern marvels assembled a top team of metallurgists and blade experts to scrutinize the product, before they OK'd the factory tour.

  • @RebelWrestler45 since your soooo educated go spend 10 minutes on epinions dot com or any other opinion website and look up cutco and you'll find plenty of 10+ year people all saying the same thing. so i guess alll of them are crazy and don't know about the knife they use in their own kitchen better then you do sitting at your computer. cutro reps have no clue what kind of knives customers have when they walk in the door so we run into shun and wustof all the time and routinely beat them

  • @philosophyman76 Ok, all that means is that people used to using Wal-Mart generic brand knives made of 420J, think that Cutco is higher quality and performs better. Well, of course it does. If you're used to shit, you will be pleased with a slightly less shitty product. I used to defend Cutco as well, when I was a rep. After the first time I used a $40 buck knife in the field against Cutco's hunting knife (the point snapped off, while I was going through the sternum), I realized Cutco's quality

  • @philosophyman76 Even high wear resistant stainless steel like ZDP-189 and S90V dull through normal kitchen use in a couple months, 440A with its low HRC and terrible wear resistance can dull after a single, moderate use; chop an onion on a wooden cutting board, and that Cutco Chef's knife is no longer sharp, do it with a Shun Classic series, and the knife will still shave hair. Everybody in the knife community knows to stay away from anything that says 440, or 440A on it; its cheap junk.

  • i work for vector and i'm a freshman in college. it's not door to door tho

  • they are energetic and easy to brainwash by saying the word "lots of money" and and and we like to help them by making money off their failure, and and and we like to get money from them and we like that they are stupid.

  • Damn, I want cutco in Finland. This would be an awesome job.

  • @zanuha it's more deceiving than you think.

  • vector sucks in teenagers, then implants a chip in their brains, and then starts to manipulate them to sell their shit

  • vector trained her well

  • the reason they choose college students is because we are naive and we are looking for a get rich scheme

  • Wow. Peole actually fall for this bullshit?

  • @420Diogi

It's actually legit. You just have to have the mentality for it. It's not for everyone.

  • @xCOMPETITIONx it's legitimately bad, fixed that for you.

  • @xCOMPETITIONx its exploitation

  • @420Diogi yeah ABC news, the wall street journal, purdue, stony brook, Illinois state, etc are all fools and fell for this.

  • @philosophyman76 I know it's crazy. Wonder if something will ever be done. Just weird how abrasive cutco/vector get wen u call them out on their bullshit! I've gotten some nasty replies from their workers when it comes to my posts.

  • @420Diogi lol I'm sorry dude you have to understand irony when you see it. I've worked for the company for 13 years. i wasn't agreeing with you. I was pointing out that maybe you're wrong and all these colleges, the WALL STREET JOURNAL, and now 15 news casts with investigative reporters might have done a little more research then you and maybe Cutco ain't that bad. Maybe.

  • @philosophyman76 Hey I'm a chick. Haha very interesting bout vector. Guess the area I'm in just seemed like everything was really shady.

  • @420Diogi I'm sorry about the dude comment. hey look. Most of the mangers that are promoted are usually 20-30 years old and yeah sometimes there are bad managers. so it sucks if someone does bad stuff. But it's like saying Subway sandwichs are horrible because the one in your neighborhood is run crappy.

  • @philosophyman76 Very true. Do u still work for vector? Just curious. It's cool bout the dude comment.

  • @420Diogi i started as a college student in '97 worked until 2003 left and came back in 2007 and run the brooklyn office now

  • @philosophyman76 Damn that's cool. I was born in Brooklyn.

  • @philosophyman76 then your a no good scammer.

  • @gowill2 well i guess I got scammed by their lies 13 years ago and am still being scammed. i guess when I paid my college tuition bill with the fake money i earned I was being scammed. How do "They make money off their failure" they make money when the reps sell and pay a base pay to reps that don't. You must know some really good scam math

  • @philosophyman76 That community college tuition isn't that expensive now is it.

  • @ladygodia If you call a philosophy degree from Rutgers University a community college yes. Well it is the state university of NJ so for NJ kids i guess it would be cheaper. Oh wait I live in NY so out of state tuition, room and board, was $28,000 a year. Oh and mommy and daddy didnt help bc theyhad my sister and brother in college as well. So try again.

  • @420Diogi the reason you get abrasive coments is because a. your dealing with college students. b. when people work their ass off to earn their money and then they se other people bad mouth the company that is paying them and they're told their product and company is a scam. well yeah they get abrasive. If I told you your parents were a bunch of criminal low lifes then i would guess you'd be abrasive to me. I'm not saying that just giving an example

  • the anchor knew it was bullsh*t, he didn't fall for it.

  • theres nothin wrong with selling cutlery but who the fuck pays 110 dollars for some scissors when u can get that shit from sears for like 20. who the hell buys 400 dollar knifes from 17 and 18 yr olds instead of getting them from reputable stores. are you kidding me. give me a fuckin break. i have to be damn good to sell this shit. its madd expensive so who the hell can afford this shit. i have better things to do with my money, thanks.

  • @BlackRane86 hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha why don't you come to an interview and find out kid.. Its pretty sweet stuff, there's a REASON why its not sold in stores

  • @BlackRane86 Who buys? well last year they sold over $200 million so i would say people buy. i sold more than $5K in a week and a half, so people buy

  • @wodyonedos we sold $257 million in Cutco

  • @BlackRane86 There is a difference. According to Consumer's Digest, people spend an average of 3,000 dollars on knives in their lifetime. So why not put 1000 on a set of knives that you never need to replace. It is called a Forever Guarantee.

Why don't you ask Consumer's Digest...who ranked these as your best buy in cutlery?

Or maybe ask the History Channel why they showed these, of all knives, on their show Modern Marvels?

  • @BlackRane86

They have payment plans and you will spend more for knives in your lifetime than you would if u buy these knives. They replace them for you forever. not a lifetime gurantee, a forever gurantee.

  • not door to door, they make a point of not doing that. all things are referrals only thats why it can be so hard

  • These people couldn't sell a set of knives to Freddy Cougar who the heck are these people?

  • This guy is being a dick about it. It is obviously legit but he is trying to find a way to make it seem like it is a joke. He never even finished training so he is definitely one of those people who thought it was a scam

  • @chupi1289

I agree I wouldn't have even talked to him,

if I were these two women.

    VERY DISRESPECTFUL!

  • The interviewer asks the question as though there is something wrong with selling kitchen cutlery.

  • @wolpack1116 lol yeh he sounds kinda skeptical

  • bullshyt

  • not door to door.

  • @FadoDeo4444 same damn thing

  • @ITr13d ???? not door-to-door is the same thing as door-to-door? how do you figure?

  • i got hired today. iwant to be like reccomended to hated relatives. i cannot wait to piss people off.

  • number one its not door to door. (misrepresentaion)...i think (in refercne to the comments below) that mattywash is right because i am in the job and its something that the guys are more willing to stick with thats just how it is. like their are only 4 girla nd i know a couple of them who are going to quit already and i am a girl and their are hardly any girls its basically all guys!

  • @ottomixazn what part of the ABC news cast didn't you like? or would you rather take the opinions of the people in the comments who probably quit or got fired over abc news, or msnbc, or the wall street journal. All who have done op ed pieces on how good the company is. Na your right. random people in the comment section is a better source of info.

  • i used to do kirby now im going for this! LOL

  • he said out of ten and she said she didnt know sets but its 90% wouldnt that be 9?

  • @OriolesMagicfan he asked how many sets and she said she didn't know sets bc we don't track set sales just sales period. People can buy individual items as well.

  • @OriolesMagicfan A sales ratio is simply sales per demos. So for every ten demos she makes a sale. She does not necessarily always sell a set.

  • @OriolesMagicfan no. she could have sold individual pieces, not only sets

  • I CAN SAY FROM EXSPERIENCE THESE ARE TOP NOTCH KNIVES BUT NOBODY NEEDS ANYTHING THIS SHARP ITS REDICTULOUS MY NEIBOR DID A DEMO HE ASKED ME TO CUT THROUGH THIS PIECE OF LEATHER NO JOKE THE KNIFE HE ASKED ME TO USE DIDNT LOOK SHARP BUT IT WHEN THROUGH THAT LEATHER AND TOOK HIS KNUCKLE OFF WITHN IT IT WAS LIKE CUTTING THROUGH AIR

  • Wow, this is such a marketing scheme. You can tell just by what questions are being asked & what the representative from Cutco is saying.

  • @D0IS3N

What has one got to lose?

  • Niether....her "pretty" face and mammary glands get her sales. No college student need money...These two broads can't hide their lying....nice matching clothes...Drink the Kool-aid

  • @shaolincrest Yes, because ALL Cutco reps have mammary glands...

  • @Ibmyselfman Hmmm Reading over...Nope don't see "all" do see the word "her"..As in female talking....And yes all Cutco reps DO have mammary glands. If their human anyways some don't have the ability to function...But HER'S help boost her sales. Although, I did misspell neither. Sit on hands the next time you think about vomitting in a comment box. Especially one geared towards me.

  • @shaolincrest That's good to know. I'll use my mammory glands to my advantage the next time I do an appointment. By the way, your sentence structure and grammar were off on this comment too...

  • @Ibmyselfman If your mammary are up to par...Hmm GO FOR IT PRINCESS! ..I love my sentence structure. You're worthy enough for an essay...By the way they're mammary spellcheck cupcake. HECK I'll give you another 5 days...Come back we'll start from square one...or you can go juggle cutco products I have faith you're good at it..heh heh hahahahaha shoo shoo

  • @shaolincrest I can't even reply to this because I can't even make out what you are trying to say. Go back to the 3rd grade and learn proper english, cupcake...

  • @shaolincrest and this year when the #1 rep was a white male from alabama with acne what happened there. people bought bc of his slack jaw accent. you do know that 85% of products bought for the kitchen are purchased by women. So her looks and "mammeries" got her those sales???? you think she sold $218,000 to lesbians?

  • @mattywash And did you think tossing out a static would change the course of the river that is my comment? Do you see a white male from alabama with acne and sporting a "slack jaw" accent in this vid? What was my comment? And I know large amount of home making men that would demand a recount. Let me bring you up to speed chief: Sit on hands the next time you think about vomitting in a comment box. Especially one geared towards me. Alabama/slack jaw accent. Stereotype much? hahahaha

  • @shaolincrest let me vomit on your comment box again. since you can't read your original comment. You said "her pretty face and mammary glands get her sales." then how do the men in cutco get sales? Also i know you know a bunch of homo men... oh wait home making men but do some market research. 85% of purchases made by women period home or otherwise. Look it up. and i was kidding about the slack jaw thing but the #1 rep most years is a man.

  • @mattywash Hmm nope don’t see white males in this video? I’ll administer the antiemetic. Matty “Wash” away that small amount of cerebral residue; that gunk forcing you not wrap your head around it. As it stated as it is so….”Homo” now? A joke? Remember people want to be held accountable right?…off color jokes are still hurtful. I love the Bourne Series: I will bring this fight to your doorsteps…what a line! Maybe you should vomit wouldn’t hurt you to shed a few pounds.

  • thanx but I've made more hacking devices and selling them on ebay ;-)

  • I'd go in for the interview, if it's not for you, don't do it... I think you should hear it from face-to-face sources versus what hearsay is published by someone who hasn't even finished a training

  • Make no mistake about it. This college student in this ad was hand picked by the company very carefully. They will never show you the over 85% that crash and burn. Some just don't have relatives with the proper financial backing.

  • @politicalguru "Financial backing" has nothing to do with it. I've done a demo with a family who, based on how their house looked and the finances that I figured they had (it was a family from my high school), I didn't think would buy ANYTHING. They chose the five month investment option, but they spent over $900 on knives, and they love them.

  • @politicalguru yeah it's a news segment. someone quitting a job after 2 days is not news. Just like a college "Hand picks" the valedictorian to speak to the students. They don't have the 85% of the students who dropout talk about the school.

  • By this, I mean the excessively high turnover rate, phone calls from disturbed parents who figured out we were using their kids, public places (colleges) livid that we illegally posted our flyers everywhere, etc. Money isn't everything but it sure seems like it in your 20's.

  • Bottom Line: You can be successful selling Cutco Cutlery and you may learn some marketing lessons in the process. However, the cons (even if you make great money) sure way on your mind heavily at night (or least they did with me).

  • They were devising new ways to improve their "Push Week" results. The tactics (or schemes) that were proposed were the "Straw that broke the camel's back." I realized that (while I was successful) this type of greed was something I couldn't be a part of any longer.

  • @politicalguru EVERY company pushes for year-to-year or month-to-month growth. How does this somehow make Vector so much more evil?

  • @amimizunofan22 ...It's not the push week or improvement of the push week that bothered me at all. I loved push week. Read my post carefully. It was the new training (i.e. tactics and schemes) that was encouraged from mgmt to reps.

  • @politicalguru so you couldn't take the tactics of motivating people through competition. Maybe you should look into communism. That worked much better with no competitive market.

  • @mattywash--Actually, I'm a Christian and a conservative so I have no use for communism like most college students have no need to be part of Vector Marketing. I'm assuming you're a manager for Cutco? If not, then your response here has no bearing. If so, then I realize why your comment "spins" it toward motivating.

  • @politicalguru hey so i'm not trying to get into the argument you grown men have been having for what looks like a good week now, but what exactly is unethical about selling quality knives to people? it this world quality products cost more than cheap ones that is life so whats unethical about it?

  • @mattywash - The tactics (or blatant lies) I'm referring to had nothing to do with motivation. Either you're too low on the managerial pole to know what I'm referring to, they dropped those types of tactics when managers left in drones, or you're part of the problem?

  • @politicalguru dude you know nothing about me and how low I am on the management pole. I started in 1997 and have been a manager since 1999. what is a drone leaving by the way? do you mean droves maybe. Oh so if you left then you were smart like you and if you stayed then you're just evil. ok high horse

  • @mattywash - Never said you were evil. Heck, you may not have been exposed to garbage they tried to push on some of us. IF you were exposed and stayed with Vector, then...well...yes, I would question your motive. Is money worth your moral character? Staying under those circumstances says yes to that ques.

  • @mattywash - When things became unethical or immoral, managers across the U.S. left in drones. That should tell you something. "Sales managers" left for moral reasons. Not something you here everyday. Even with 120K big bonus checks coming in to flaunt to newbies at conferences...MANAGERS LEFT!

  • @mattywash - To all the students wanting to join as a team member, ask yourself these simple ques. If something sounds too good to be true then what? What do the majority of ppl who talk about this company say (Hint: Good Product and Bad...)? What does my gut instinct tell me about this whole sales pitch?

  • @politicalguru what sounds to good to be true. I have freinds who sell insurance, real estate, cars, stocks, whatever. EVERY job tells you this is a great place to work. and every worker finds stuff wrong with the job over time. Where do you work that the management doesnt care about profit and sales and the environment is great, and everything is honest and upfront and they don't recruit people by telling them its a great place to work? Are you working on Mars?

  • @mattywash - You seem to be having a lot of trouble on this page Mr. Cutco manager (which we all assumed). And yes, typos happen (drove) like your version of friends (or is it freinds)? FYI: They asked me and three others to stay repeatedly. Our territories were very profitable. Bottom line: No one is attacking me on here! Hmmm!

  • @politicalguru yeah lots of trouble. a branch whos crying about a company they left 6 years ago and a person who talks crap while not posting a pic or any vids and is a just a troll looking for attn. notice all the others who commented on hisnonsense as well. So of the 14000 viewers of this vid you two are sooooo much to handle. by the way amimizunofan22 doesnt count in your book i guess huh?

  • @mattywash - In case anyone is wondering, here is proof. Their managers enjoy deception as a living or otherwise. I left long before six yrs ago. You don't connect the dots well do you? If zones went out in 2001 and I thought they were still part of Vector, then 2010-2001 is...need help? That's at least 9 yrs.

  • @politicalguru so that's worse. Excuse me if I don't feel like doing math on when you decided to leave. so instead complaining about a company that you left 6 years ago your complaining about a company you left 9 years ago. I can see how that makes you look better. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. but your right I guess i can't do 2 million dollar broker deals like you.

  • @mattywash -Summer Branch? Come on now Matty...you're gonna lose the argument (or should I make that the present tense and say losing the argument). First, you miss the simple math (see last comment). Then you miss the little button on your keyboard that capitalizes letters (Hint: Rhymes with Swift...no pun intended). Don't get desperate. Try witty...much more fun.

  • @mattywash - As for bragging about your sales record, this may get a "little foot in mouth." Your total office sales are 4mil? That's good for Cutco depending on how many years. That being said, my first broker sale at the next company was 1.8million (in one day). Your 4 mil mark was hit around the 8th month. Get your feet wet in the kiddy pool not the riptides! Current is too strong here.

  • @politicalguru it's all relative. So your comparing cutco. which you had such moral problems with with selling a s a broker. Yeah all the brokers i met are so ethical and honest. So your a millionaire arguing about cutco? Seems pretty sad

  • @mattywash - And amimizunofan22 and I had a amicable exchange. He even thanked me for replying without attacking (as many people do on this youtube). If I remember correctly, he or she (didn't ask gender) is a rep and said they will watch for the things I warned of in the future. Hardly what you're trying to make it into. Only the 1st comment was a little harsh. You're fighting wars in here. No need to exaggerate things...we're not in your office.

  • @mattywash - I watched your PDI video on your channel. I gotta admit...you seem like a nice guy. I was expecting someone different for all your name calling on here. But calling me a "troll"....come on Matty...do you own a mirror? And setting up your web cam so that it just barely cuts off the top of your head (or forehead)...not that's classic! "What cha hiding up there?

  • @politicalguru read the comment again. Iw asn't calling you a troll. I called that numbskull shoalin a troll. You were the branch and he is the troll bc all he wants to do is insult. Sorry if you didn't understand that. But 2 ppl on youtube doesn't constitute a WAR with hundreds. an I have been bald since my freshman year of college by choice. I could grow and afro if I wanted too. Do i seem like someone who cares what people think about me or how i look?

  • @mattywash - Poor John. I hope that was a made up name and not a real rep of yours that you through under the bus. If he is a real rep and did forget to call, you publicly called him out on a forum that his other peers can see (as opposed to a one-on-one sidebar). That's not too professional Matty. Is that how we're "motivating" young people these days at Vector?

  • @politicalguru jon isn't real it's a training vid for my managers. really with the comments. R u serious? how many veiws are on that vid? 15 - 20 who's looking for my pdi vids? oh sorry 1.8 million dollar big time brokers with the big bling on youtube.

  • @mattywash - I only looked up your videos because I wanted to put a face with a name. Then I saw myself 12 yrs ago in those PDI videos you did. I said virtually those same things. To quote Yogi since I'm a Yankee season ticket holder (hint, hint), "It's like De Ja Vu all over again." Jon didn't seem made up but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Plus, you spelled his name Jon not the more common form, John. And 1.8mil was only the tip of the iceberg at 8 months.

  • @mattywash - I guess this feud has run its course. Since you weren't calling me a troll, then I guess I was out of line a lil bit admittedly. And yes, things a very bling right now. So much so that I get to play around on youtube for no reason at all and go to nearly every home game. Still a skeptic? Watch the YES channel & look behind home plate. I have my guys bring an "I love Cutco" sign! Do love the knives just not Vector.

  • @mattywash - Uh oh. Uh oh. Grammar Police. I meant to write "threw under the bus" not "through under the bus" --- Little correction on my mistake. Like John, I made a mistake. Hope I still get my "base pay"...

  • @mattywash - I could go back & forth all day with you about Cutco in a brutal "Mines bigger than yours" contest that you'll eventually lose. Not arrogant, I can just tell you're a low manager on pole (probably branch or regional or have they changed those terms as well). High level Vector Managers wouldn't be fighting on youtube w/multiple users & immaturely using words like "vomit on your comment."

  • @mattywash - I understand you have to defend your livelihood and the way in which you support your family. Here are the facts: You're a Vector Marketing Manager so most people don't believe you regardless & think you're full of it! Been there...you cringe at the thought of telling others what you do. By the comments I'm reading from various people, you seem to have your hands full w/o me. Consider getting the heck out of Dodge! No sale to be made here!

  • @mattywash - I understand you have to defend your livelihood and the way in which you support your family. • @politicalguru i cringe at what. I am over 50000 in personal sales and 4 million in office sales. you were a summer college branch. "who intercepted" high level techniques and left. I have been in cutco for 13 years paid for my house, car , food, trips, parents house, and invested with my cutco money and feel great. And if i want to I can take out a customer slip at random call those customers and ask them about their product and they'll say they love them. So why do I feel bad again???

  • @mattywash - By the comments I'm reading from various people, you seem to have your hands full w/o me helping the angry mob in this forum. Consider getting the heck out of Dodge! No sale to be made here! Sorry, couldn't resist that last line. Btw, are they still flaunting those life size 100K bonus checks in front of kids at conferences? Ahhh, the primitive good ol' days.

  • @politicalguru i don't "have" to defend anything. I choose to bc i feel like it. I could never post another comment ever and make great money and i"ll recruit many good reps. Like the valedictorian of stony brook in 2001 who was my branch. you have lots of support shoalin who thinks mamarery glands is how she sold 218000. I comment bc it entertains me. at least I'm talking about the company i work for. Your wasting time talking about a company you left 6 years ago. who's got problems???

  • @mattywash - Oh, and Mattywash, I still motivate people through competition to this day. Probably making more money then your zone manager in the process. Difference between now & then: I actually do it honestly now and can sleep at night!

  • @politicalguru dude when were you a manager? We havn't had Zones since 2001. Oh now i get it you left when they kicked out everyone from the northeast "ZONE" and replaced everyone. i now understand why you have such a craw in your throat. Hey hate to tell you but company got better since then. all companies have bad years bad managers and periods of adjustment. it's called life. I know you never did anything wrong in your life and then went back and fixed it bc your so ethically moral

  • @mattywash - One last comment and you should know this already. You assumed I was a manager in the Northeast and was let go. Assumption is the mother of all Screw ups! It's like assuming a low income family won't buy the Homemaker + 8 (deluxe or whatever they're calling it now). Can't tell you how many of those sales were made...good amount!

  • If you saw the internal corporate memos I viewed, you'll realize the depth to which a company will go to squeeze every dollar out of families. It's very shameful. My success came because I had many family and friends who have money and the knives are high quality. My decision to leave the company came after a large meeting with the higher ups.

  • @politicalguru I hope for your sake that you stay away from retail in general, then, because I'm afraid you'll find they all do this to some degree.

  • @amimizunofan22...It's too much to explain to a sales rep in youtube. Good luck with selling. Like I said, you can make good money. If you do sell a good amount, they will offer you training for branch mgmt. I think then you'll see exactly what I mean in these posts.

  • @politicalguru Fair enough. I'll have to evaluate it when I get there. Thanks for replying civilly. You wouldn't believe (or maybe you would) how many people seem incapable of doing so.

  • @amimizunofan22 - No problem. I'm not here to make enemies or push people away from Cutco (although it may seem that way). I'm just saying...expect the unexpected as you move up through the ranks. See my replies for "Mattywash" directly above. I tried to keep it civil but I have a feeling he's a Vector Mgr. Little bias?

  • I used to be a manager for Vector Marketing in upstate NY selling Cutco or convincing college students they should sell Cutco. I did very well selling knives myself and had a successful branch office. I left the company on my own accord as well. That being said, their system is designed by deception. I knew I was deceiving people and so does Vector.

  • @politicalguru what deception is there? i work for vector and i don't see any of it

  • They also have a horrible job turnover rate. They target age groups 17-21 for a reason. They know they don't have to worry about 401K's and Employee benifits. and how can this field sales manager not know what her sales metrics are? The fake reported asked for how many set's you've sold... not your fabricated sales ratio. There's no such think as a 90% success ratio unless your selling cocaine. heck I bet even drugs don't even have a success rate that high.

  • @ladygodia some reps do have a sales ratio that high. the average is only 60% tho. this girl is just rlly good at it. sales ratio isn't only sets, it includes individual pieces too

  • This job is a scam preying on young adults. Getting them to do their dirty work and giving them nothing in return. BTW did anyone notice that this is a fake news report? and this company is not shady right?

  • no it teaches you to work hard for your money so do you want to work your butt for for 6.25 an hour your work for 15 an hour ?????? tell me that you dont make money and i will laugh in your face sorry ...the people who don't succeed didn't work hard enough". It's a matter of work ethic that keep you on you toes and keeps mone in you pocket i know i work for CUTCO and guess what i make more then you probley in a month then you did in 6 so you tell me

  • @gooseakajockkilla if you were as smart as you think you are you'd learn you don't need cutco to make money. You want to sell products and make real money own your own business and earn100% of the profits you make. I find it hard to swallow Cutco's over priced knifes sell that well... especially in this modern day economy.
