  • hahahahaha proof you cant compare drivers across different motor sports! case closed

  • LOL MS got so owned here...same to those stupid ass commentators..... NASCAR is 4 real bitches!!!!!!

  • fuckin snotty ass european commentators, instead of admitting schumacher got outright beat, schumnacher made a mistake get over yourselves...

  • Carl Edwards is a world class person, and this clearly proves he's a world class driver.

  • Suck it F1 - NASCAR all day long!!!

  • @mlee2001 i didn't know over night nascar added 150 hp. 900 pfft if they were that powerful the drivers would shit themselves

  • @DeathToRetro666 They're making more than just 750hp. That's what the Nationwide cars typically run. Cup is closer to 850hp

  • @DeathToRetro666 Do me a favor, go do some research, then get back to me...

  • good that the dumb nascar drivers can do more a little more than go fast and turn left. i'm surprised edwards didn't try to kill the commentaters like he trys to do whenever someone gets him mad. also the american teem has always been a joke when compared with the touring car and sports car drivers feilded by the other teems

  • F1 makes the difference between good drivers and top drivers... if this duel were made on a F1 track with F1 cars... we may say who can do better. It's not the same to drive at those speeds with so many turns..

  • @alvarokas And you can say if this duel were made on an american oval with Cup cars....we also may say who can do better. Its all relative so, to me, the only true test is to use diffrent cars, diffrent tracks with a combination of all mortorsport skills..Ovals,f1,drifting,street courses,,etc.

  • One of the things wrong with F1 today is their closed minds to other forms of racing. Back in the day a driver could come from a racing background that wasn't from the accepted & approved steps to F1, and if they had talent, get a chance. Gilles Villeneuve came from snowmobile racing! Would he get an F1 opportunity today? Today F1 is about how much can you pay for your ride, not about finding the best drivers. If you took a top NASCAR driver & gave him a decent opportunity, he could win in F1.

  • Haha these announcers are dumb lol.

  • I have raced both dirt ovals and road course go karts and there is a definite difference between a oval racer and a road course racer. Oval racers are better at finessing the car and not losing momentum. Road course racers are very aggressive on the gas and brakes which means less efficiency. Put the two head to head and the oval racer comes out on top most of the time.

  • As an American, we really got fucked this year at the ROC. We had to settle for Travis Pastrana and Brian Deegan...Is that really the best we have to offer now? I personally think a team consisting of Tanner Foust and Kyle Busch would be a killer team to contend at next years ROC.

  • @TheRogueSS Yea, or even Tony Stewart. His versatility is amazing and he could surprise a lot of Europeans.

  • @Leonefan Totally agree, Tony has been a champion in every series he's raced in.

  • @TheRogueSS is he also a World of Outlaws Champion? I know he has won there but is a he a champ?

  • @mlee2001 No he's not a champion in the World of Outlaws. He did'nt get a chance to run there full-time before making his transition to IndyCar. He was too busy dominating USAC lol

  • @TheRogueSS Well i guess then hes NOT been a champ in every series hes run, more like a chump...

  • @mlee2001 Whatever you say, Bub

  • @TheRogueSS I say, GO #99!!!

  • @TheRogueSS Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson would be great to have compete in this.

  • There are plenty of great drivers in NASCAR, the problem is that NASCAR is boring.

  • @alvarokas ...because watching cars actually pass one another is boring.

  • I don't know what is more depressing - how much "The Chin" has lost it, or how desperate the commentators were to discredit Edwards. Sure NASCAR is boring, but the best ones really do know how to drive - they're pushing 3200 lbs 700+ bhp cars around on 255 tires. If that isn't car control, then I don't know what is.

  • @wasabi1787 Nascar is not boring to me. Its the best! And the cars are 3400 pounds with 900+ Bhp

  • @mlee2001 Oh and Btw, Carl Edwards is Da Man!! GO #99!!

  • for all of the people who think NASCAR is just a bunch redneck's making a left turn. Hahaha

  • @BobbyRossRacing93 They usually are, are they not?. There are a few great racers coming out, just like in every racing sport(would be silly to think that every F1 driver is awesome), but there is no denying that NASCAR is mostly ovals and its primary audience are rednecks.

  • Carl Edwards is very talented

  • Ha! Screw you F-1!

  • hahahahahaha

  • Kinda pisses me off how the brain dead announcers pretty much toss out the notion that Carl can actually wheel a race car. "Oh Schumacher is behind because he made a small mistake, hem hem, tea and crumpets." Quit making excuses and admit that Carl Edwards, as well as any other NASCAR driver, can do a hell of a job driving a race car.

  • Wow these guys suck....

  • 1. These announcers are assholes, cant they just accept maybe carl can drive? idios...also im sure carl would have won the next round if Coutlhard actually drove and didnt overdrive and slide against the walls?

  • NASCAR races a few circuits in their season along with Ovals and they do very well in the circuits. Juan Pablo Montoya has been in NASCAR for over 6 years? And he's only won a single race at a circuit track. I think they should add more circuit races to their schedule. Ovals are interesting because its so hard for drivers to get an advantage and there's always heaps of overtaking and slipstream battles but the races they've had at the circuits have been very close as well.

  • @McFly2015AD I agree, the road races have definitely gotten better over the past few years. Some purists say it's more wrecking than racing at the road courses now but I think it's just a case of stiffer competition due to more of the regulars stepping up their game on the road courses as well as the COT allowing them to race more aggressively. However, I'd like to see the series stay oval oriented and only run a max of two to three road races per season max.

  • @ArtificialRed1083 clearly you are one of those who are against nascar drivers and such..also, i can't even begin to say what I think of your intelligence, age, and maturity level for you making such a judgement of my mental health and character, after I have revealed nothing to you. How in the world can me stating an opinion about racing lead you into thinking I suffer from a mental disability? My friend, dont be so quick to judge people, please grow up.

  • If it has wheels or wings Carl Edwards can do it.

  • F1 is DRIVING fast, NASCAR is RACING fast. Whats the difference...."rubbin' is racin"

  • im so suprized!!!! go edwards!!

  • (no offense intended) Suck it stupid F1 Bitch. Go Edwards!!!!!!

  • And Edwards in turn was spanked by David Coulthard on three wheels.

  • @Dietpepsivanilla David Coulthard on three wheels.. lol. Well yeah, for that massively long final straightaway! Coulthard lost control off the final corner and had the race won and still won. To say that Coulthard spanked him "on three wheels" would be hyperbole at best.

  • LMAO at the annoucers making excuses for Schumacher take that F1 fan boys!!!!

  • I think Ryan Newman could absolutely destroy F1 if he got involved. Midgets, dirt-track, carts, and he can absolutely qualify and push the limits.

  • Thing people fail to realize is NASCAR drivers don't 'just' drive around in a circle. Even on the oval courses it's known as one of the most difficult things in motorsports. Watch the drivers during the races and notice how their hands constantly battle the wheel in the turns, trying to keep the car straight. There's a reason why F1 drivers like Ambrose and Montoya are yet to win on the 'simple ovals'.

  • @PchanStitch I tried driving a stock car and for the life of me I cant get it to do what I want. Heh. Im so sick of hearing the F1 fanbase constantly insult NASCAR fans because they "cant drive" give them a few practice sessions in an F1 car and they'd run circles around Vettel and the like. And im a F1 fan. It pisses me off.

  • @bandman232 When Jeff Gordon did a switch with Montoya a few years ago, Jeff Gordon, in his very first run in an F1 car, ran laps that was just one second shy of qualifying for the starting grid on that same track. Says a lot right there.

  • @PchanStitch Heehee i forgot about that. Maby when gordon starts really sucking in Nascar he'll go to F1 and own everyone. Id like to see an american in F1 again.

  • @bandman232 gordon is too old. 30 years old is too old for F1

  • @SuperColossal33 That's bullshit. Rubens Barrichello is 40 something. Jenson Button is 32. No. 30 is not too old.

  • @bandman232 agreed, NASCAR drivers are the best in the world

  • @PchanStitch Ambrose wasn't in F1. He raced in Australian V8 Supercars.

  • @sleepfortheteam Same concept. He's used to road courses and does very well on them, and oddly doesn't do well on 'easy ovals'

  • u mad yurop?

  • most nascar racers can do open wheelers, road racing and oval (which is harder than bigots will give credit for), they can race around dirt and a lot of them race 1000hp trophy trucks in baja.

Look at Tony Stewart, IRL champion, Indy 500 winner, 24 hours of daytona winner, mutiple road course, dirt and stock car champions...Put Schumacher on a dirt track and see how foolish he will look trying to get an 850hp 1500lbs car around a 1/3 mile track sideways the whole time.

  • im a f1 fan and i think it cruel how f1 fanboys mock nascar

hell i suggest everyone go to a nascar race you wont regret it

  • What people don't realize is in NASCAR they do race regular circuits as well as high speed ovals. On top of that Cup Cars are very heavy, have narrow slicks, and very low downforce due to the rules and do take great care and skill to drive with 800bhp. Edwards is just as skilled as any GT Touring driver.

  • Haha they're just so amazed that Carl beat Michael. "This is something that NONE of us were expecting... Michael MUST have done a mistake somewhere along the way."

  • @crdakin That's exactly what I said before I found your comment.

  • F**K OFF, NO ONE CARES ABOUT EDWARD'S HABILITIES BUT CARES FOR THINKING THAT THE ONLY WAY CARL IS WINNING IS FOR SHOEMAKER'S MISTAKES! GO TO HELL GERMAN ELECTRONIC ASSISTED DRIVER!!!

  • Useless tires warming, in this case Edwars´s balls beated the "boring technique"

  • Carl Edwards = A true "old school" race driver

Schumacher = Another F1 pussycat farce who only knows how to win if he had a team around him with a second driver to be his slave

  • dude, carl got schumi good. michael's amazing, but Carl did a great job. The announcers need to get their head out of schumi's butt. NOW.

  • Haha these announcers are completely and totally pathetic! He won. Don't make excuses. Both of these guys are fucking amazing drivers. Better than any one watching this damn video. Give respect where respect is due!

  • Why is it people seem to think that NASCAR drivers never race on Road Courses. Carl is a very accomplished road racer in the NASCAR circuit.

  • way to go Carl

  • Schumacher warmed up his tyres so much, they already started losing grip :D

  • @1:33 I think that extended chin section is so Schumahcer can blow the annoucers without taking his helmet off.

  • Wow, favoritism much?

  • i like the announcers try to make an excuse for michael

  • wow carl did awesome they made it sound like micheal missed up what a bunch off assholes

  • Go Carl! Face it everyone, Nascar drivers are REALLY good.

  • There's no 'racism' on this page. Learn what racism is first. All people are doing is criticizing the F1 fraternity in general that constantly mock and deride the NASCAR crowd. And even in this video alone, it was clear from the commetators constantly trying to find ways to justify Michael being slower wasn't due to Carl actually driving better than him.

  • gotta <3 the amount of racism on this post, welcome to the internets :-\.

look, i dont think carl could beat schumi in an F1 car, but then carl is a better driver in "tin-tops" as shown here. no need to slag off any europeans/brits for "being arrogant", and no need for the pretentiousness that many f1 fans are showing.

tho tbh, both WRC and moto GP are far better than either F1 or NASCAR IMHO.

  • what a bunch of fucking D-bags. Schumacher can kiss my american ass. Bunch of fucking faggots.

  • @badfox93

Schumacher is the best driver of all time. The world would have you kissing his ass.

And this is an American telling you this.

  • @EJ25RUN No, and the best driver of all time isn't a NASCAR driver ether.

  • michaels 2nd lap, which was error-less was slower..shut up announcers, the best f1 driver is not that good

  • this announcers are dumb lol...they watch their pride and joyed get out drien..out talented, simple, f1 are so overrated

  • 1:07 lol

  • Announcers are pathetic, they made every excuse in the book for Schumacher. He made a mistake. He had a heavy passenger.

How about Carl Edwards can just flat out drive tin tops better then Schumacher?

In the next round Carl Edwards faced David Coutlhard and lost because Coulthard hit every wall out there. Edwards could have overdrove his car too and slid along the walls for a better time. Wasn't there suppose to be time penalties for hitting the wall?

  • @RacecarVideos You really have got no clue if you think that's what they are doing. You might not have heard of it, but the commentators are using something called sarcasm. They are clearly making fun of the fact that Schumacher is an F1 driver. All F1 drivers come with the lamest excuses, which is why they are saying stuff like "heavier passenger" etc.

  • @RacecarVideos

    They were joking...

  • @dienkonig33 eh...

  • @jaqua524

The commentators were joking. the entire time. It's called taking a pinch of salt.

Also 'glad' to read that every Edwards fan here plugged their own ears when they were taking the piss about Schumacher and his tire warming....

  • ya europeans are so full of yourselves , ya THINK YA HAVE THE BEST SOCCER , THE BEST DRIVERS , THE BEST WOMEN AND BLABLABLA... IN fact when it comes to the show , you make me laugh , the u.s drivers are so unfair underated , they re so fuckin good too , and more brave in fact , because driving at 200 mph rubbin the wall is not easy , is it ? and we from brasil , have the best drivers , the best players , and of course the best women ... so SHUT THE FUCK UP AND PUT YOUR PROUD IN YOUR ASSES

  • my friend , they turn at 200 mph or more ... it s not fair the way that they re underrated by everybody , in my point of view ... cheers from brasil mate

  • well nascar goes up to 200mph

  • put a nascar in o rouge with 190+mph like f1 and lets see what will happen..

  • Well...nascar is a tin top closed wheel sedan car. F1 is a formula that's basically a massive wing and would generate intense amounts of downforce. NASCAR cars doesnt generate a lot of downforce because well..it's a tintop without any wings

The only reason why F1 can handle so well IS because of it's downforce. Same as IndyCar. With the new Dallara 09 chassis, the IndyCar would have no problem going flat out at eau rouge because it's more and more reliant on downforce.

  • @GIANNHSPEIRAIAS It's not the same thing. The type of racing has no bearing on the amount of skill involved. As this video proves, there are NASCAR drivers who can school F1 pilots, and vice versa.

  • yeap it is in fact pilots from wrc f1 and drag racing is the most brained people in earth(because they can multitasking their brains while they are racing at the edge this is the matter and thats why wrc and f1 is the top of the top :)

except some stupid drivers from japan who they couldnt even drive a f1 in single line

  • Chill dude

  • @rdtli I would agree that european women are better looking than american women. We have the fattest women on earth bro and have the highest divorce rate. Thats why once I finish college I will work in the land of opportunity the EU.

  • @Bravesfan4500 WOW ok first off yes Europeans have beautiful women but so do Americans i mean damn you must not be having any luck at all with a statement like that?

  • 1.3 seconds faster at the half, 1.7 at the end. Edwards was faster all around. Even if Schumacher made a mistake in the first half, which it didnt appear he did, how do you explain the even greater gap at the end?

  • and lol psh, Schumacher made a mistake, haha, excuses stupid announcers

  • what people fail to understand is that nascar guys are just pretty good drivers themselves. They grow up karting just like kids in Europe. Could Carl beat Michael in an F1 car? No. But Michael couldn't beat Carl in a cup car. That said, I'd still suspect that Michael could make a smoother jump to NASCAR than Carl to F1. Regardless, both good drivers in their own right.

  • Well said!

  • idk about that...carl is a wheel man

  • @VonMilash i doubt michael could make a smooth jump to nascar, nascar stock cars are much harder to drive then f1 cars and every other non nascar driver that made that jump has been horrible with exception of maybe juan montoya and hes had 2 wins on road courses, but did manage to make the chase this year, nascar drivers simply dont get enough credit for how good of drivers they are

  • @VonMilash It has always been of my opinion that Schumi is very over-rated, as is most of the other drivers currently in F1 (most of them simply should not be there, there are many other drivers in the world that would be more fitting). That being said, I think given equal equipment to top F1 teams, any one of the top NASCAR drivers could out-perform the vast majority of the current F1 roster. There's nobody there like Senna, Mario Andretti, Jim Clarke, Jackie Stewart, etc in F1 today.

  • @VonMilash bet my life michael wouldnt do anything in nascar

  • That is the reason why Carl is the man :). It's so obvious that those announcers refused to admit that Carl was just better than Schumacher instead Carl, being lucky just because Michael made an error. Those commentators should also know that nascar DOES run a couple of road races each year.

  • Carl sure shut up the announcers who were putting him down the whole time!!

  • Awesome, I've been looking for this race on youtube for a while now. Thanks for uploading it!

  • Michael bites the dust. :-)
