  • Hay stumblinh what do you think of the feigao motors as a bashing a track motor with a castle creations or team tekin ESC,I know it is an senserless motor but I think it would be less to go wrong and it is cheaper? Im going to keep the stock tranny in my revo so I have two gears and sliper clutch and just mount the motor in pleace of the engine.

  • DONT BOTHER ANSWERING MY QUESTION!!!

  • Where is this track located? Cool E-REVO :)

  • It's in Ithaca Ny.. PS it has since been rebuilt a 100x better than what is shown here. The only thing missing right now is the AMB system (soon). Utica NY is where I typically raced.. they even host pro-series events, great track.

  • i readed the break down story but dit the car broke or the setup(motor, bettery, mmm)?because i'm gone get the same setup on a savy x ss:p

  • drive shaft pins backed out and got stuck.. moral always check them babies!

  • thanks for the reaction the set up look very goood

  • Go with a Mamba Monster, Neu 1515-1Y motor with single motor plate, two 3s 5000mAh LiPOs wired in series, upgrade to 1 fast high torque servo like a robot servo. That way you can put the ESC where the 2nd servo was to save space. The Mamba Monster ESC can handle up to 6s (22.2V) LiPOs. That is my setup and it tops 63MPH with a fairly small pinion, runs 37-42mins. I think I can hit 70 with "non-recommended" gearing. I will post a vid soon...you can see the car running stock at "Elings E-Revo".

  • A 6s setup is nice for high speed runs, but you are limited to 5000mAH packs and you have to buy 25c lipo's if you don't want to send them to an early death. The 1515 1.5d is better because you can do 50 on a 4s setup with 8000mAH where you are closer to 40 with the 1y. The 1.5d runs fine on 6s, but it's overkill as you could easily hit 70mph geared 22/54, actually 22/58 should net you 70mph the rest is gravy.

  • how much faster is the 1515 ? to the 8xl..or the veniline..

I didnt really have the money to spend on the neu motor so I bought a 6xl last week.. hasn't arrived yet.. I just hope its not cheap in comparison to the neu. how much better are they in your opionion?

  • They are not in the same class as each other. That isn't saying the Feigao's will not work. Other than both being brushless, they have nothing in common. The 6xl is a really really bad choice imo, I would go w/ the 9xl if you can switch for these big trucks you want to run a 4s config. The 6,7xl have huge amp requirments and heat up super fast. The 8xl is a little better the 9xl would be your best bet.

  • thanks, its too late but, I just got it through the mail.. I guess I'll try it out and see how hot it gets. hopefully the auto 2 speed will compensate slightly, ill run a fan or two, thanks for the advice.

  • that track looked kinda like it was in someones back yard.some of those jumps looked big for where they were placed too.

  • It is in a field behind a house and a business.. they are rebuilding parts of it soon to clean up some of the jumps but you don't want it too easy. They are all fine if you hit them right, but if you go in wrong.. well you're done.

  • you seem like you know your stuff i just got a new E-revo and im looking for the balance of bashing and thrashing at the track, yet i really want to take one of my friends jato 3.3 who swares nitro is the BEST!!!! i wanna smoke his ass and say I TOLD YOU SOOOOO!!!, cause i know the potetial of brushless i can smoke his nitro 4-tec which is sickly fast but i know i can with the right set up any ideas??

  • Well what you really want is a 6s lipo setup to have 60+ speeds w/o issues. I would use the Neu 1515 1y or 1515 2d with a Mamba Monster Max or similar 6s brushless controller. He won't know what hit him. The new losi brushless parts look nice too, the castle creations Monster 1/8 scale kits (the 2200 version) are perfect too. Enjoy! The Neu 1.5d on 4s lipo will smoke his jato off the line but due to the 50mph top end the jato will sneek back up given enough space.
