1 .You buy your marijuana at a state sanctioned, state licensed, state approved retailer.
2. They scan your driver's license.
3. Your auto insurance carrier sends you the bill for the new $500.00 a month liability rider. Your employer's worker's compensation liability policy requires new drug testing provisions. The sheriff is notified by the ATF your firearm permit is no longer within federal guidelines.
And since your driver's license is state issued identification, no privacy... LIARS...
As the Oregon Citizen’s Initiative Review found, Proponents are saying “trust us” before rules are made, availability of marijuana will increase, inviting illegal activity. Convicted felons can become dispensary directors or employees five years after conviction. “Measure 74, a thinly veiled attempt to legalize marijuana, has a high probability of being abused!
It would take thousands of Marijuana DISTRIBUTION CENTERS and GROW SITES to provide the allowable pot for the current 36,380 cardholders.
GROW SITES can include marijuana grown in your neighbor’s yard or house. Indoor growing presents dangers because of toxic materials and high volumes of electricity increasing the potential for fires. Grow sites attract in home burglaries, and robberies.
Oregonians will not have a vote on such critical details as: maximum number of dispensaries, purchase limit for individuals in a given time period, penalties for infractions, and statewide recordkeeping for cardholders.
Convicted felons can become dispensary directors or employees five years after conviction.
M74 does nothing to control the existing program, as M74 will not infringe on a cardholder’s ability to produce their own marijuana or to designate a person responsible for a marijuana grow site. In home grows and caregiver growers will go unregulated continuing to create problems in our communities and cause law enforcement to have to divert their resources to deal with the existing abuses.
